FIFTH ELEMENT, THE
(1996, USA)
DIRECTED BY: Luc Besson.
Bruce Willis can never seem to do anything right (besides marry Demi Moore) film wise lately except for The Die Hard trilogy and The Last Boy scout. I wasn't overly excited about this film at first but I found it to be quite a surprise. Something different to sink your teeth into even if it is another futuristic flick, it works well.
Willis plays a cab driver (flyer would be more appropriate) who just happens to have the fifth element (Milla Jovovich who is the most likable character in the whole film) accidentally land in his cab. Jovovich is the most important piece of a puzzle to save the earth from total destruction along with a priest whom has the key to it all. Dazzling effects, great characters and villains especially Gary Oldman. just a good delivery in general makes this a really great film open minded folks will get something out of when watching. I recommend it.
