HALLOWEEN

(1978, USA)

DIRECTED BY: John Carpentar.

A piece of superb horror history. The element of scariness takes over gore which is nowhere to be seen. A great film to watch on a dark halloween night with all of the lights out but make sure you're watching the film and not doing somethin else. As a child Mike Myers killed his sister on halloween night. He was commited to Smith's Grove mental institution for the rest of his life. On one halloween night he escapes and the town of Haddonfield will never be the same.

His docter Sam Loomis (the late Donald Pleasence) is the only one who can stop him as Myers goes after Jamie Lee Curtis and friends. Myers stalks, stalks and stalks some more to build up the atmosphere and tension unitl he strikes in the darkness of the night. Horror just doesn't get any better than this. True scary entertainment for the real horror fan. Intelligence over splatter but hey splatter is good too!
