Dr. Hamilton is suffering from some traumatic nightmares. He dreams that a madman by the name of Ze Do Caixao (Coffin Joe), is trying to have his wife Tania, become the mother of Ze's child. Since Ze is only a character created for the screen by director Jose Mojica Marins, a group of specialists enlist the help of Marins to cure Hamilton's bizarre dreams. By convincing Hamilton that Ze is only a fictional character, he should then realize that his dreams are not real, but just bad dreams. Essentially this is the plot of the film. While it may seem fairly basic, the fact remains that the nightmares are the real treat in this film.

Even though Jose Mojica Marins had some freedom to do his movies according to his rules, and not anyone else's, he did run into trouble from the military dictatorship in Brazil, who censored some of his films. Jose then took most of this cut footage and simply inserted it onto this film. Add to the cut scenes some famous images from other Ze Do Caixao films, and you have one helluva fascinating movie! Some scenes from AT MIDNIGHT I WILL TAKE YOUR SOUL are here, namely the infamous tarantula scene. Stuff from THIS NIGHT I WILL POSSES YOUR CORPSE includes the great scene where Ze gets dragged into hell! And some of the graphic cannibal feast footage from the STRANGE WORLD OF COFFIN JOE also finds its' way onto this film. It is hard to describe everything that goes on in this film. Namely because the nightmares account for 70% of the films running time. These scenes are edited fast and furious, with people and things appearing and disappearing quickly. Various scenes of Ze sitting around flanked by lots of naked women are shown through the movie. This film is so intense, I will bet most people who view this will doubt their sanity after witnessing this thing! For someone who has not yet been exposed to Ze Do Caixao, you may want to try the trailer tape, COFFIN JOES VISIONS OF TERROR first. Hallucinations... is a film that defies description. Hell, the constant echoes of people screaming throughout the films running time should signal to you and any unsuspecting guests, that what you are about to witness, is not your typical fright feature.

With many scenes of torture, naked bodies, dismemberment, cannibalism, and just plain sadism, I would strongly urge anyone who watches this to be forewarned that it may severely damage your nervous system! This film will not easily be forgotten my friends. Watch at your own risk!! A 4 skull rating for sure!
