HEAVY

Siskel and Ebert (or in the words of Andrew Dice Clay I directly quote "Fat Ass and The Bald Fuck") gave a couple of thumbs up the ass to this indie film. A couple of faces in the cast. (Deborah Harry of Blondie and Evan somebody who is the lead singer of a Canadian alternative group I can't think of the name at the moment.) Sexy dish Liv Tyler also stars along with the main character who I've seen in other films like Paul Newman's Nobody's Fool. This guy plays a strange middle aged and overweight man who works in his mothers diner. He falls in love (more like becomes obsessed) with Liv Tyler but when his mother becomes sick his life turns into a piece of shit which is repeatedly stepped on by stupid blind fucks walking by.

This film makes you feel depressed and the lead character Mr. tons of fun himself doesn't say much but he just gives you such a sense of hopelessness, depression and pity that you can't help feel sorry for the guy. A very twisted and bizarre film which is not something you'll want to watch on a Friday or Saturday night for some fun. Not very enjoyable and every character is so very cold and unlikable (like in real life). Kind of obvious where the title comes from.
