HENRY: PORTRAIT OF A SERIAL KILLER

(1990, USA)

DIRECTED BY: John McNaughton.

Ultra disturbing and realistic documentary-like account into the life of real life serial killer Henry Lee Lucas. We get a straight forward view of the murders committed and the brutality involved. Michael Rooker in the role of Henry goes out with his big friend Otis to shoot, stab and violate victims. One especially chilling scene has the two take a whole family hostage and brutally killing the families teenage son. This is not one for the weak of heart or sensitive viewers in general. Nothing is spared.

Some of the most disturbing scenes involve shots of the victims already horribly killed and the voices and actions of what happened to them in the background (especially the glass bottle in the face victim). I highly recommend this piece of video savagery.
