NIGHTMARE CITY Review On "Violent Manaic's Cage"

This is one bad piece of Italian Spaghetti horror. Umberto "Make Them Die Slowly" Lenzi delivers an ultra cheesy and ridiculous plot which makes absolutely zero sense. The story has reporter and grade A geek Hugo Stiglitz ( is that shits because the dudes acting abilities stink) witnessing the arrival of a military helicopter which unleashes a parade of meanacing and very quick zombies (quick and zombie don't mix!). The walking corpses look like they have piecies of hardened shit glued to their faces.

The reason for the moronic corpses killing is never fully explained. It has something to do with radioactive bullshit as usual. Mel Ferrer plays a military offical who does basically nothing except talk a lot. Stiglitz kills lots of zombies with machine guns, grenades and other handy weapons on the run with his wife. The gore is almost non-existant except for the cheesy looking head shootings and the scene where the missus has her eye poked out. There's a lousy breast chopping and a couple of crummy amputations.

Low grade film all the way. Hugo's wife dies while a military helicopter (which it doesn't look like) tries to save them from the shitfaced zombie bastards. Hugo wakes up and realizes it was all a dream until the airport thing happens again and then we get "The Nightmare Becomes Reality!". What kind of bottom of the barrel ending is this!? avoid at all costs, please I beg you. Lenzi's worst besides Eyeball.
