Presenting a chilling vision of the future, the film takes place in the

Air Force One, enroute to a summit meeting, is sabotaged, crash-landing
in Manhattan. With the President taken hostage by the savage inmates, it
is up to the hero of the film (Kurt Russell) to successfully enter Manhattan
and rescue the President, all within 24 hours. This futuristic action adventure
thriller by John Carpenter stars Kurt Russell, Lee Van Cleef, Ernest Borgnine,
and Adrienne Barbeau. I give Escape From New York a 7.5 out of 10.
