Unlawful Entry was released on June 26th, 1992. It made 10.1 million dollars on its opening weekend. Its U.S. gross was 56.0 million dollars. The film stars Kurt Russell, Ray Liotta, and Madeleine Stowe.
In the film Kurt Russell and Madeleine Stowe are a married couple without children. They live in a large house. The house is robbed by a black man and Russell tries to stop him. The black man gets away. Ray Liotta a respected police officer investigates the encounter. He likes Russell's wife and decides to make Russell's life into a living hell. He helps them setup an anti-burglary system. He goes even further by capturing the thief and beats him up under the watchful eyes of Russell. Ray Liotta's bad cop character frames Russell for murder, kills his suspicious partner and wants Madeleine Stowe to be his lover. And once again Kurt Russell must save the day.
Unlawful Entry is a good film. It is a suspenseful and very realistic thriller. Kurt Russell once again plays a normal ordinary citizen, who is faced with a problem that he has to solve. I give this film a 7 out of 10.
