Passing through his daily life, David Aames (played by Tom Cruise) seems to be enjoying a wealthy lifestyle. David Aames is a New York City publishing executive. It appears as if he exists in a perfect reality, that others would only dream of experiencing. Despite these characteristics, David Aames is lacking something.
During the nighttime David Aames meets the woman who he has always been looking for. Unfortunately for David, he loses the chance of ever seeing her again because of making a mistake. Trapped in a world of love, comedy, dreams, suspicion, sex, and romance, David must journey to find the meaning of real love and discover his soul.
