2/24/01--The SURVEYS section has been revamped again, and a new survey--one on directors--has been added. I've removed the pop-up quizlet asking whether or not the horror genre is moving in a favorable direction. I did this because pop-ups get annoying and it seemed to be interfering with the mouseovers. At any rate, here are the final results taken from 68 votes:
16% said that horror movies have never been better than they are now 38% of you said that horror movies are sort of getting better, with reservations 43% of you said the older ones are generally better a radical 3% of you said that the new horror movies suck compared to the old ones. New to the REVIEWS section is "Ancient Evil: Scream of the Mummy". Is it worth 90 minutes of your time? Well, there are two ways of finding out: rent it yourself, or read my review on it.
Here's a screenshot of the metal site I mentioned last week. The links don't work yet. I also intend to move all this to another free host, such as brinkster, and probably give the site a more aggressive look, but I'm proud with what I have so far.
In March, the MESSAGE BOARD will be replaced. Evidently, insidetheweb is going through some financial difficulties and will no longer host the board. Fortunately, all I have on it right now are a couple of horny black(?) guys responding to a post about "Snatch".
2/17/01--The REVIEWS section now has a new look, and "Party Crasher: My Bloody Birthday" and "Waxwork II: Lost in Time" have been added to the list.
2/16/01--It's been about six weeks, but here's a couple more reviews ("Body Parts" and "Mother's Day"). I had other internet-related projects and actually got paid to build a veterinary website, www.amhpasadena.com. I'm also building a heavy metal site for the fun of it (and to get my name out there), but there's not enough content to unveil it just yet. So, that's the big reason for the lack of updates. Also, it took me a while to get into the spirit of reviewing movies again (I have a ton of them to write up later this month). For me, writing is all momentum. The longer I stop, the harder it is to get back into the groove of things. But I luckily snapped out of it.
