Thanks to Stephanie for sending me this concert story! Here it is:

Here is my review of David in Las Vegas August 6. 1999 David was appearing at the Palace Station Hotel, at the Club called the Trax.

David had two shows a 7 PM show which was private just for the High Rollers, and the 9 PM show.

On Friday afternoon I checked with another friend of mine and tickets were going on sale for David's first show which was private, they still had some tickets left. So I bought a few for me and my friends.

The Trax is a nice cozy club I think maybe seating about 300 people, there is not a bad seat in the house. A perfect venue for David.

Its 7:15 PM and here comes David on the stage dressed in what I call his sparkle suit. It's a very dark grey or more on the black side and it glitters and he had on a white shirt opened. He looked beautiful as always, with his greyish hair and still boyish looks at 53. He is still my Teen Idol that is for sure, even after all of these years. He sang I would say almost all the same songs he has been singing on his solo tour this year. I think the name of the song is As Long As You Belong to Me he opened with that song. HE WAS ON FIRE. He danced like I have NEVER seen him dance before. The Jokes were so damm funny, he actually this time took out BOTH OF HIS BREASTS and was holding them both and talking about how when you get to 50 you have breasts. I have seen him do this in his other shows but, this time he took them both out hehehe!!! It was funny. Now this is Vegas so he can get down and dirty. Yes he did mention his little willy, saying how he has a small one and big breasts. We were dying with laughter, and Sandy and Dave did the Archie Bunker skit, and of course then David was goofing on how funny New Yorkers talk, well I am from New York and I must say he does our accent very good ehehhee. Sandy also did his impression of the singing Nun but that was in the second show. The show was GREAT!!!

Show numnber 2 was much better, if you can even imagine that. David came out dressed in his leather pants and his long black jacket and he had a shirt underneath short sleaved with gold and black. I love this outfit he looks like a pirate. The place was packed I think it was sold out. David started out with the same song, and we heard the same jokes etc. However in this show the audience was more lively and really into it, everyone was singing.

David did have one heckler, one drunken BLOND girl, who while David was going to sing I Will Love you Forever, she yells out where is your tamborine?? HE said WILL SOMEONE PUT A SOCK IN HER MOUTH. SHe was very annoying and he told her at one point to shut up. She was told to sit down. She was drunk standing there holding a beer bottle. I had a few women next to me screaming their lungs off. EVERYONE WAS SINGING ESPECIALLY when he was singing his Monkee songs, there were alot of first generation fans there like myself and we were having a ball. We had a very loud audience, and David was having a ball. At one point it was a woman's 40th Birthday and David was asked by her 4 sisters to call her to the stage and place a ring on her finger. He calls her up and she jumps up and sits on the stage and David sits next to her and puts the ring on her finger. He then sings LET'S DANCE and says OK ALL OF YOU sisters get up and dance, and all 5 sisters are dancing up and down the aisles it was great.

Also at the end of the show when David is singing Daydream Believer they had a screen up near where I was sitting. For the second show I was sitting in the 2 row on the left of the stage. They show David on the screen like they did during the Teen Idols shows, all of his pictures while the song is playing.

We all gave David a standing ovation, and he comes out and sings for the encore LET ME ENTERTAIN YOU we all were standing up and dancing. IT was unbelievable the love that was felt in that room for David. He was wonderful. This man only gets better. I remember seeing him since I was a teenager and he still is GREAT. He is truly the best song and dance man out there now.

David did a signing after the second show. He must have had at least 100 people on line, and the man signed every last thing for everyone. Anyone that wanted to stand up there and just take pictures of him were allowed.

I tell you it was worth the trip to fly to Las Vegas to see David. I would do it again. He is a wonderful man, as an entertainer and as a man.
