This is the theater picketed by babysitters on page 59 of Don and Susan Sanders' American Drive-In Movie Theater. As the only drive-in ever within the Seattle city limits, this was once the site of the Seattle Film Festival Drive-in night, in 1982. When it closed after 1983, Seattle Times film critic John Hartl bemoaned the fact that "The property is too expensive to be used only at night." Now it holds, not a Wal-Mart, but a Sam's Club. The corner of the lot that was under the screen is still undeveloped, but I found mostly urban junk, such as rusted bedsprings. No drive-in artifacts.
