Sin is like cancer--it is often deadly. And, like cancer, sin spreads quickly and can defile a whole church or nation. God commands that we deal with known sin completely and without delay. Even when we have sinned unknowingly, if that sin is brought to our attention through the Holy Spirit (Lev. 5:2-4), it is important that we repent quickly and be cleansed of it (Lev. 5:5; 26:40-42). Then, as a part of genuine repentance, we should make up for the sins we have committed against others, whenever it is possible to do so.
If we truly want to walk in victory over sin, it is vital that we meet regularly with God, understanding that this descipline requires time, energy, and resources. However, in the battle against sin, giving our best to God is the wisest investment we can make. Only through confronting sin can we ever be saved from its power, so we should not overlook it or deal with it lightly.

You ever notice how it's so easy to be bad, but so hard to be good? It's easy just to do an act instead of restraining yourself from doing it. That's why sin can spread as easily as cancer. Keeping the morals of God's Word is a big responsible! You really have to work at it and meditate on it and just stay focused on your relationship with Christ. It may be a hard job, but it brings you closer to the One who will give you everything you need...especially love. Don't let sin rule over you, because that means your giving in to what Satan wants and not what God wants. The Lord will give you strength to overcome anything! And, will also not give you anything He knows you can't handle. His strength is perfect, so, lean on Him. Don't let sin take over! The Lord Almighty is good!
