Mario Calire
Mario has been playing the drums ever since second grade, often playing with his rock-musician father, who was also in a band himself, "America".. somthing like that.
His dad used to bring other drummers to compete with Mario.
His fav songs of Bringing Down the Horse are "Invisible City" and "I Wish I felt Nothing".
Mario used to live with his parents back in 97 and said, "I know one thing, if i don't don't get a place of my own the guys will never gonna quit
teasing me, but you know what? I like it. Maybe I will get a place of my own... down the street."
When he was in school in Ojai, he skipped a grade.
Mario's 24.. his b-day is June 25th, 1973 or 1974??
look at Kel's page on Mario, After The Black Bird Sings, on my links page, for some funny Mario quotes.
Jakob Dylan
A sweaty vest Joe Strummer from the Clash is up in a frame! Jake got when he was 15 at a Clash concert his older brother took him to, Cash had a great music influence on him.
Jakob 1st planned to become an artist, studing art at Parson's in NYC and intended to become a painter, but after 4 months returned to LA, he decided he loved writing and playing music more.
He is a father of a son, Levi, about 3 years old, and another child that I don't know much about, with his wife, Paige.
Jakob was born on December 9, 1969
Rami Jaffee
Before Rami was in the band, his job was delivering pizzas.
On the song "It's Up To You" by the band ChalkFarM, Rami played accordion on it, and plays organ on two songs on Everclear's album, So Much For the Afterglow Normal for the songs Like You and I Will Buy You A New Life...!
Rami is married to Alicia, and awhile ago they have a girl, Tovi
On a radio interview, Rami says his most embarrassing moment was when he put himself in the hospital trying to make a
drink!
I don't know Rami's age, but he was born on March 11th.
Greg Richling
Greg and Jakob went to the same high school, and they both attended Windward school in LA together
Greg also plays bass on some of the songs on Fiona Apple's CD, Tital
His Dad suggest they call themselves Cold Fire, but already had a name... also have you noticed on the Difference, on the Fillmore posters a band name on ther is Cold Fire!
Greg's birthday is on August 31st, I don't know his age, but probable the same age around Jake because they went to the same school.
Michael Ward (recently left band..in late 2001)
funnyman Mike's most embarrassing moment was when he ran into a SEMI while riding his bike, he put himself in the hospital!
Michael has also been on albums of School of Fish and John Hiatt
Mike also plays in another band, Tiny Buddy and School of Fish (more on these under related bands)
An influence on Mike was KISS when he was younger.
He has a racing bace, and enjoys riding it, he shaves his legs for it. what this guy will do!
this is yet another married Wallflower! Terry, his wife and him have even released an album together, I Love You Loudly, awww..
he was born in 1967, at Minneapolis, Minnesota.
Jenny McCarthy Show
the Wallflowers were on MTV's Jenny McCarthty Show!! Michael described Greg
as stubble and he was described as the ever dapper, and was giving the band youth and spirit, Rami was the most mythical always giving the band cookies, Mario was always brining the band
healthy snacks, Michael was religious
and spiritual, and plays one mean guitar! Jakob gave them a sense of being calm, sense of ease, and as Rami and Micahel called him, "The star energy!"
Austin, Texas newspaper
Here's something really intresting from Chatlotte! -I
got this out of an Austin, TX newspaper. When the wallflowers came to Austin (with the Counting Crows)in August (excellent concert, by the way), here are the things that they requested for their dressing room:
Wallflowers - fresh sqeezed orange and carrot juice - "no excuses", sunflower sprouts, Barbura's shredded Oats and Puffins!
concert show
On the last tour date of the Wallflowers tour with the Counting Crows (Sept. 27, 1997), a devoted Wallflowers fan, Bobby told me all of this about this Wallflowers concert.. near the end of the night, some of the band members and other
random people came out on stage dressed in costumes. Greg was Chewy, Mike was Darth Vader, and Mario was a black feathery thing, Jake was wearing a black shirt with a silver SuperMan logo on it, and Rami was a hobo clown. they were all fighting and jumping around on stage! |
