Your Thoughts

Here are the responses to the questions posed on the Consider This page.

For the Concentration Camp question:

Regardless of what Bronson specifically has done relating to this question, he generally chooses the more difficult of any two options, and thus would defend the Jews and take lots of heat for it.
--Trent Botkin
I definitely think Bronson would fight the Nazis, because they were running a police state, and Bronson always fights authority.  Let's face it, it's easy to hate Japanese people, especially if they're depicted like they are in Kinjite.
--Pat Runkle
For the Drug question:
If Bronson caught a drug dealer trying to sell drugs to his daughter,he'd kill him.
--Pat Runkle
I think from interviews I've seen in the past of Charles, it's clear what he would do if he caught
someone pushing drugs to his daughter. And ending up in jail would be the least of the pushers worries.
--Ed Kratz
For the Bronson vs. Ford question:
Ford would win in a weaponless situation, but Bronson would soundly defeat Ford if there were weapons involved.
--Trent Botkin
Bronson could take down Harrison Ford anyday.  Check out Bronson in The Magnificent Seven--he's ripped!  Actually, I think Bronson and Kirk Douglas would be a good match-up for a 1998 wrestling match.
--Pat Runkle
There is no doubt Chuck would KILL Ford, not only with a weapon, but also in a weaponless battle.  Remember what he did to the guy twice his size in The Evil that Men Do?  It makes every man cringe to even think about it.
--Patrick Wood
It would be Charlie all the way, no doubt!
--Jeanne Johnson
In a hand-to-hand fight, it would be Bronson. Why? Because before becoming an actor, Bronson was a former semipro boxer! And Bronson no doubt got strength from his time as a coal miner. Finally, Bronson in the past said
in interviews he works out with a punching bag.  With weapons, it would be Bronson. In the movies, Bronson has worked with a variety of weapons. He probably knows, from working with the firearms people on movie sets, more about weapons than Ford - who hasn't used that many weapons.
--Keith Bailey
You've got to be kidding!   Didn't Bronson grow up in the coal mines in PA? Do you really think a pretty boy could beat a coal miner?  Not in this life!
--Laurence Lance
Although I am A Harrison Ford fan, I feel he would be dead in any encounter involving Mr. Bronson.
--Michael Brown
For the Mechanic question:
Chuck saw it coming, the writing was on the wall.  He died, but not without taking out Jan-Michael too.  He could of faked it, but he's getting a little old for a sequel now.
--Patrick Wood
You have incredible insight--I noticed this same thing about The Mechanic when I watched it.  I thought Big Chuck was going to come back at the end.  Actually, The Mechanic, The Stone Killer, and Death Wish could be the hottest streak of kick-ass movies ever from a director-star pair.  Just a thought.
--Pat Runkle
I feel he probably did die, however it is something he forsaw and obviously wanted; there's no way in hell air wolf could kill Bronson without his consent.
--Michael Brown
Responding to whether or not Bronson actually dies at the end of The Mechanic:  I believe that there is no doubt that he pulled through and left everyone to assume that he died. Of course he wanted to test his protege to see if he could be loyal or if he would be a traitor.  Too bad for Bronson's buddy he wasn't loyal.
--Orton Fam
I would have to say he probably died.  But remember how you felt the first time you saw the movie and realized that he probably died?  I was devastated.
--Steve Lorenz
Come on! Harrison beat Charlie? Sure, Harrison looks good for his age, but did you see Chuck in "Hard Times" from '75? He was in his 50's then and he looked better than anybody I know in their 20's for chrissake!
