Selection/Promotion Boards Information

Bupers has completed their move to Tennessee. Here is the latest info from Perspective.

In preparing for the board, your microfiche and officer summary record (OSR) will be drawn from master files eight weeks prior to your selection board. Aside from any documents that you send to the board, these are the only two documents board members may consider. Your fiche and OSR must be requested in writing, and the request must be signed. To request copies of your OSR microfiche, contact:

To add Personal Awards to your microfiche, on a separate sheet of paper provide your NAME, RANK, SSN, UIC, NUMBER OF AWARD (FIRST, SECOND, etc.), AWARDING COMMAND, PERIOD COVERED and DATE APPROVED. Submit that information along with a signed certificate to (new address) :

Pictures submitted directly to a selection board will not be forwarded to PERS-313C to update your microfiche. Please submit an extra copy to PERS-313C.

Only the officer being considered by a selection board may communicate with the selection board. Correspondence from outside sources, e.g., letters of recommendation, must be submitted via the officer being considered by that board. Submit information for selection boards to:
