I'm not really good at making new norn files without breeding them, but I have learned quite a bit about genetic defects and other abnormalities. Here is a list of all the defects I know about in C1. If you find something wrong with my write up of these or know of any others, pleeeeese E-mail me at: mvannort@ix.netcom.com. This page will be gone or changed sometime in the future

Highlander gene

This is the most poular of all the genes I know of. It is the gene that makes norns live a longer life than normal (up to and past 100 hours), or immortal. It is possible to get this gene from breeding, but is rather rare. The most common way of making a highlander norn is to alter it's genetics using a hex editor and genetics kit preview now avalible at the cyberlife main page. Creatures born with this gene are born at 95% life force and stay that way most of their life.

Undead Mutation

This is a strange gene where the norn is born at o% life force and as an adult. They can still act and function and live a normal norn life, but they can't walk. They can move around but I guess there legs don't work. They are fertal from birth.

Backwards Mutation

This is when the norn is born and can only walk backwards, i'm told that most norns with the backwards gene out grow it when the reach adulthood.

Telekenetics Mutation

This is not really a gene. When norns interact with an object, there are codes that keep them from picking the object up if they are too far away. Some norns have strange programing that lets them pick up these objects from far away because they ignore those codes. This only happens with food, not toys or buttons.

Lobes

If you have searched the internet a lot for stuff about creatures, then you have probably heard about lobes. Norns are born with 9 lobes. Each lobe does something different and contains nerons. The more nerons they have, the greater the ability to learn. After a bit of breeding you may find the rare 10 lobe mutation. The number of lobes can be changed by editing. The most lobes on a norn I have found has been 38. But it has come to my attention that the more lobes a norn has ,dosn't really make them smarter. The other lobes are copies of the normal 9. So they can't really be smarter, but they may be able to learn faster.

Saturn Mutation

I have only found this on one page, so it may be a localized mutation. This is when the norn has bad attacks of the shivers. They lay on the ground and make a funny noise. There body temp. goes way down and they experiance feelings of punishment and fear and coldness. There temp. also goes down when they sleep.

Sweet Mutation

From buggirl44-the sweet mutation is a gene that makes a norn always have a high sex drive, therefore making them excellent breeders

Zeus Mutation

This, like the highlander gene keeps them at 95% life force and may rusult in imortality.
