Jonathan Pryce joins Ronin
October 29, 1997
(LOS ANGELES) - Jonathan Pryce, the villain of UA's upcoming James Bond film "Tomorrow
Never Dies," has been set to star in MGM's big-budget action adventure "Ronin." This makes him
the second Bond nemesis to be cast in "Ronin," following the recent casting of Sean Bean, who
played Alec Trevelyan in "GoldenEye." Pryce will play an Irish terrorist in the film, which concerns
an international team of ex-intelligence officers who carries out a dangerous mission. Director John
Frankenheimer rolls the film next week in France. The rest of the cast includes Robert De Niro,
Natascha McElhone, Skellan Skarsgard and Jean Reno. Pryce has starred in "Evita," "Barbarians at
the Gate," "The Age of Innocence," "Brazil" and on stage in "Miss Saigon."
