After that, he became a used car salesman. Then he became a top-model in London and started filming commercials. When he heard that they were looking for another actor to play James Bond, Lazenby went and won the role. Other actors auditioning included John Richardson, Anthony Rogers, Robert Campbell and Hans de Vries. Lazenby won the role in a screen test fight scene. On Her Majesty's Secret Service, in 1969 was the first movie he ever made. But after that, his film career went slightly downhill, and he never really gained as much popularity.
