Episode 82 (Season Premiere)
"The Bostonians" *** 1/2
-- Joey, Jen and Jack begin their college lives in Boston, Dawson begins in L.A, and Pacey unknowingly sets ashore in Boston. The gang seems to be acclimating, while Joey is have trouble facing the trials and tribulations of university life. Dawson gets a reality check after a negative experience during his internship. Just as things beginning to pick up, and the gang sheds remnants of the past, Joey receives an unexpected visitor.
Episode 83
"The Lost Weekend" ** 1/2
-- Joey decides to drop her English class because of her failure to immediately excel, she runs into some unexpected problems. Joey seems less then excited that Dawson has showed up unexpectedly, and even less so when she finds out he didn't get her message. Argument follows and the two go their separate ways for the greater part of the show. Audrey and Dawson subsequently spend most of the day together. At end of the day Joey is left to make an important decision regarding her future with Dawson. Jen and Charlie hook up, and Pacey gets a job at a local restaurant arranged by his brother. We also get a glimpse of Pacey's new girl.
Episode 84
"Capeside Revisited" ***
-- Dawson returns to Capeside in order to break the news to his parents that he wants to drop out of film school. He receives mixed reactions from his parents about his news. Gale seems happy to have her son back at home, while Mitch thinks Dawson is making a big mistake, leaving school. Meanwhile in Boston, Jen and Charlie pursue aspects of their relationship, such as trying to get out of the bedroom. Jack is asked to join the fraternity; his worries about his sexuality are addressed. Joey sees Pacey working in the restaurant, and after speaking to Jen she approaches him. Just as the episode is wrapping up, things seems to be settling for the Capeside gang, Mitch is killed unexpectedly in a car accident.
Episode 85
"The Long Goodbye" ** 1/2
-- Dawson copes with Mitch's death by investing his time into taking care of the funeral arrangements and his family. Dawson blames himself for his father's untimely death, and takes out some anger on Joey because she is the reason Dawson left school. The gang tries to console a troubled Dawson with little success; it is a tough time for family and friends alike.
Episode 86
"Use Your Disillusion" **
-- After grieving for about a month in Capeside Dawson decides to leave home for a weekend and visit Joey in Boston. Joey has no idea how to handle Dawson's grief, or how to act around him. Tobey decided to visit Jack, which ends in despair for the couple. Jack is too busy with his new fraternity brothers to pay attention to Tobey, who in return feels resentment for Jack. Jen makes a big scene after seeing Charlie with another woman, it isn't what she expected, and is incidentally humiliated. Consequently trying to make it up to Charlie Jen makes an authentic discovery.
Episode 87
"High Anxiety" ** 1/2
-- On the pretence of a Doctor's prescription, Dawson ventures to Boston to seek professional help for his anxieties, he quickly decides to ditch the doctor, and tags along with Jack instead. After a few drinks, Dawson pays a visit to Joey, and reveals his blame on her for his father's death. After Charlie's affaires come to light, Pacey urges Jen to get even.
Episode 88
"Text, Lies and Videotape" ***
-- Joey is chosen to work with Professor Wilder and a team of students on a special project. Dawson Seeks a therapist?s advice, to help him choose what is best for him, going back to L.A. to honour his father, or to follow his heart, and stay in Boston. Pacey makes inroads with Karen, despite his apprehension with her affaire with his boss.
Episode 89
"Hotel New Hampshire" ***
-- Dawson and Jen get out of Boston in order to honour one of Dawson's Father's wishes, and its fruits. They find themselves re-thinking their past relationship, on their weekend as a "couple". As their friendship soon turns into something much more [Dawson loses his innocence], Pacey and Karen, are undergoing their own development, and find themselves following their desires. Jack invites Joey and Audrey to his fraternity's formal, his intentions not being very noble, after Joey finds out the deal with a member of his brotherhood trouble ensues.
Episode 90
"Appetite For Destruction" ***
-- Jen and Dawson return to Boston as a couple, which causes unrest amongst the withdrawing group of friends. While Joey attempts to deal with her feelings, Jen and Dawson face the scrutiny of their friends during an uncomfortable engagement that Pacey organizes for the friends Jen, Jack, Dawson, Joey and Audrey.
Episode 91
"Something Wild" *** 1/2
-- It is the conclusion of Winter Break, Joey is stressed about her grades and is whisked out of Capeside and back to Boston by Pacey. During a night out on the town Joey sets out to prove that she has a wild side, she teams up with Jen's ex beau to prove it. During their trip back to Capeside to surprise Dawson's mother with the news of their relationship, they soon find out the Gale has mixed feelings about the new couple.
Episode 92
"Sleeping Arrangements" ** 1/2
-- Pacey gets an unexpected visit and is offered "the chance of a lifetime" to go sailing on the Mediterranean, forces him to decide between the kitchen and the deck. During Jack's first day living in the frat house, he meets an unexpected prejudice. Jen begins her career giving sex-advice on her radio show, though times between her and Dawson arise after he hears some of the messages she is sending out on the air.
Episode 93
"Something Wilder" ***
-- Joey attempts to start dating again, only now she is faced with a dilemma, she must choose between Mr. Right and Mr. Wrong. Dawson begins the new film school, and is offered a new job by a familiar face. Jack begins sliding as his academic and social life both take turns for the worse.
Episode 94
"Guerilla Filmmaking" ** 1/2
-- Dawson films his first movie that was written by someone else, he replaces the writer/lead actor with a familiar face; Charlie. Charlie?s presence on set upsets Jen, Pacey and Audrey share a kiss that could have potential conflicts with Joey.
Episode 95
"Downtown Crossing" ***
-- After making a withdrawal at a bank machine Joey is mugged by gunpoint, after being mugged Joey stands back and sees her mugger being run over by a car. Joey stays with the mugger, calls for help, and accompanies him to the hospital. While at the hospital she encounters the mugger's estranged family, and see similar traits between the mugger and her own father.
Episode 96
"In a Lonely Place" **
-- Audrey and Jen spend the evening with a couple of guys, tempting the girls to risk their relationships with Dawson and Pacey. Dawson spends time with Joey and is worried about her safety and state of mind after her mugging, they catch Professor wilder out on a date, which stuns Joey.
Episode 97
"Highway to Hell" ** 1/2
-- Joey makes a failed attempt to turn down Charlie's invitation to sing with his band on a gig, and ends up with a road trip for Pacey, Audrey, Joey and Charlie. The gang's trip turns into an overnighter, when Audrey and Pacey decide to rent two rooms, one for each pair. Meanwhile in Capeside Jen decides to break up with Dawson, whom she and Jack jhave joined for Lily's first birthday party.
Episode 98
"Cigarette Burns" ***
-- Joey is becoming more involved with Charlie, and Dawson meets a film critic during the premiere of his movie. Audrey and Pacey's new relationship is tested when Pacey asks a personal question, Grams is developing a new relationship of her own to Jen's surprise.
Episode "100"
"100 Light Years From Home" *** 1/2
-- Jen, Pacey, Audrey and Jack head to Audrey's parents' Florida beach house for Spring Break, Dawson and Oliver go on a road trip to New York for a meeting with an potential agent. The group is surprised when a flame from her past comes to greet Audrey. Charlie goes on his own search, to find Joey, and make inroads in their budding relationship, Menawhile, Dawson turns around, set to tell Joey that he is still in love with her.
Episode 100 (By my count)
"Separate Ways (Worlds Apart)" **
-- Pacey is shock when he arrives at work to discover that that Brecher sold Civilization, the restaurant. Meanwhile, Joey and Charlie take the next step in their relationship, but Charlie turns down an opportunity to go on tour with his band in order to stay close to Joey, she tries to cut him loose. Dawson and Oliver finally meet an agent, and Oliver almost spoils their opportunity of a lifetime.
Episode 101
"After Hours" ** 1/2
-- Pacey finds it harder and harder to resist the advances of his older and atractive new boss, leaving Audrey to doubt their relationship. Dawson runs into the film critic at the movies and the two share a romantic evening, leading Dawson to renew his desires to reunite with Joey. Joey and Jack study for finals Jack is afraid that he has fallen too far behind to pass, Joey has a hard time concentrating with all the distractions of the library.
Epsiode 102
"The Abby" ***
-- Pacey leads a coup d'etat on manager Alex at Civilization, she returns the favour by firing him, and almost killing both of them. Dawson, Joey, and Audrey return to Capeside, Joey decides to see her father for the first time since she turned him into the police, while Dawson finally pays a visit to his father's grave. Left in Boston, Jack and Jen plan for a summer adventure, which are turned inside out after Jen is asked to spend the summer with her parents.
Episode 103
"Swan Song" *** 1/2
-- As summer is dawning, everyone gets ready for their summe break, Dawson prepares to head out for LA with Audrey, Jack and Jen get ready for their Costa Rica adventure. Joey and Pacey ponder their fates wondering if history is meant to repeat itself, their worries lead them both to make a decision that will change both their paths, Joey confronts Dawson, Pacey makes amends with Audrey. Meanwhile, Jack and Jen also make changes to their summer plans.
