19 Nov 2002Highbinders: Sammo Hung Interview (Hollywood Gossips)
SP:
Sammo we are now in Dublin, Ireland, on the set of the latest Jackie Chan movie.
You last worked with Jackie on "Mr. Nice guy" back in 1996 in Australia. What
was it like shooting "Mr. Nice Guy"? SH: I was very happy to be the Director on
that movie. It was good that we could take our time with everything. We had a
lot of time so we could work full time on that movie and also be very
comfortable too. We were very lucky with that film. We shot on location in
Melbourne, Australia. It was a good shoot and I had a good time working with
Jackie. I liked it and it was a successful film too. After "Mr. Nice Guy" I knew
that I had missed not working with Jackie and so we said that we would do lots
of solo projects but we would continue to work together on projects too. Now, I
am very happy to be in Dublin as the "Action Director" of "Highbinders". SP:
"Highbinders" is the most expensive Hong Kong movie ever. How is the filming
going in Dublin? I've only been here for a couple of days so far?| SH: I like it
here! We only start filming about two weeks ago and it's going fine except for
the weather. Never seen weather so strange as this before (laughing). Everything
looks fine.. but sometimes we cannot film for a whole day because of the rain or
we can only shoot for eight hours at a time. Only thing is that we must be on
schedule and finish on time because Jackie's schedule is very tight and he will
leave Dublin at the end of the month to start his new movie in Canada
["Tuxedo"]. So we must hurry. Everything is hurry, hurry, hurry!
