USS ATHENE
The away team prepare for another sortie down to the mysterious
planet. To avoid further surprises from their malfunctionning sensors
the crew has decided to prepare a shuttle for departure and outfit it
with a cooling system to kill the creatures should they board the
shuttle.
In the midst of the preparation the FO Joanne Carters was ordered by
the captain to relinquish controll of the away mission to him, he also
made it clear that he was not planning on coming back and did not want
to be rescued. This departure has left the Athene with a new CO..

USS PHOENIX
The current crew of the PHOENIX finally discoved what the myserious
probe within the Communication's Relay was through breaking into
classified
files. The probe was some type small holoprojector used from the Klingon
battle.
The discover came to late with another surge of energy appraoching the
PHOENIX made for the protection of a MELBOURNE-class ship, leaving
behind
Lt.(jg) Bondy and CPO Tate who were ordered to remove the probe from the
Comm Relay's comunication dish.
As the energy surge goes off the PHEONIX's main power is effect and goes
ofline leaving the ship temperorly stranded in space. Bondy and Tate
manage
to free the porbe from the dish with mere seconds left, saving
themselves.
The PHOENIX seperates the saucer section making for SB OMEGA as the
stardrive section attempts repairs. When repairs are completed the drive
section makes for SB OMEGA as well. Captain Mar regains consciousness.
With the ship was again one Cmdr Koal and his men appear in the late
night to take the probe and all information pertaining to it. Finding no
mention anywhere in Starfleet records of this man Lt. Lazar asked Bondy
to
someon how trakc and keep the information they have. As the men
transported
off with the probe, Lt.(jg) Bondy and CPO Tate arranges and accident,
and
kept the the probe and its information. A few hours later an assult team
boarded the PHOENIX, and after a brief fire fight fled with the probe
and
the information.
The PHOENIX then watched all outgoing ships, and upon a very angry,
Captain Mar's hunch took off after the NELIS, a THUNDERBOLT-class ship.
After projecting the NELIS' course to an asterroid feild the PHOENIX
used
high warp to reach it before the NELIS arrived. The ship then seperated
leaving the Stardrive section at the asteroid feild while the saucer
section, under the command of Lt. Lazar, hid within the Rugar system
until
the NELIS arrived.
The Saucer section encounter strange readings from the thrid planet
within the RUgar sytem and investigated. They found a human settlement
of
some kind, but before any real information could be discovered were
ordered
out of the area by 5 small fighters. The area was said to have been a
classified part of space yet it does not appear ain any Starfleet files.
The Saucer section left the Rugar System rather then get into a fight.
With new crew arriving the Stardrive section discovered that the NELIS
has changed course for the Rugar System and is on its way.

Cocoon Fleet Situation Intelligence Report:

A ceasefire exists between the Federation and the Na'Chem. The
Juun have made no official comment.
Officials sacked from the Juun government following the exposure
of genecide commited against the Na'Chem by the Juun are displaying
signs of dissension following Federation aid of Na'Chem colonies.
A small number of Na'Chem factions are refusing to acknowledge the
ceasefire. Calling themselves the Na'stiu, they continue raids
against the Juun. The Juun are increasing pressure for Starfleet
to respond to this threat with force.
The USS CURIE and USS KATANA are still MIA.
Amgine Sector Report:

Deep Space 101 is currently rebuilding following the discovery
that the station itself was a living creature, known as 'The Keeper'.
Following a battle with the Nebula Dwellers The Keeper has begun
hibernation for the lifespan of the Vulcan it absorbed.
The Federation Embassy on the Dergrad homeworld, Soc'Nu, reported
that it was under attack by Dergrad rebels before communications were
cut off. A ship has been dispatched to investigate.
M'Sagro III is quarantined following the outbreak of a virus that is
slowly killing the human population. A ship has been dispatched to
combat the virus.
Beyond the Portal:

The Cardassian Union has recovered the majority of the planets occupied
by the Klingons 40 years ago. Their fleet continues to advance to those
planets yet to fall. The Klingon defense is limited - with the majority
of the occupied zone Klingon fleet destroyed during 'The Battle for the
Cocoon'.
The Klingon Empire has established a Ceasefire with the Federation
following the exposure of a conspiracy between the Klingon Houses in the
former Occupied zone and the Cardassian Union.
Further negotiations between the Federation and the Klingon Empire are
expected to proceed shortly on the historical planet 'Khitomer'.
Federation fleets are regrouping and rebuilding following the recent
war.
The wormhole at DS 12 has yet to stabilise sufficiently for traffic to
resume to the Gamma Quadrant.
