COCOON FLEET
SITUATION REPORT
SD: 11.1205

Fleet Admiral: Adm.Wynton Spires
Fleet XO: Adm. J.M. Power

Antelope Squadron: Commodore Judas Mendeleyev

Unfortunately due to unforeseen circumstances Comdr Mendeleyev has
announced his retirement from the Cocoon fleet.

This leaves Admiral Spires the task of finding a new Antelope SC.

OUTPOST 108

Talen, the medical resident, chases down the child whose parents have
just died in a shuttle crash while the CMO, J'eran heads to the lounge for a
drink. On her way to her quarters for the night, J'eran is abducted by a
stranger who places a small blue disk on her and transports her out of
the outpost.

Meanwhile, Talen and Miramax head to sickbay and realize that J'eran is
no longer in the outpost.

J'eran wakes up in a dark cave, missing all of her equipment except for
her medical tricorder. She smashes the device that her assailant had planted
on her, after finding that it is not of Federation origin. She then creates
a crude weapon for herself out of flint and decides to move on, hoping
whoever brought her there wouldn't find her.

Back at the outpost, Talen and the head nurse retrace J'eran's footsteps
to see if they can find her. They find mud in the hallway where she was
abducted and a trace residue of a non-Federation transport in the area.

J'eran travels through the cave a ways and passes out. The people
responsible for her abduction are able to track her down while she is
unconscious and carry her back to their encampment, where a group of
women take her into their hut.

USS ARTEMIS

Just before Sovar appears on the bridge a massive alien vessel decloaks
near the Artemis. As the CSO gets to his console and begins analyzing the
alien ships data, what the crew assumes to be the alien commander appears and
informs the Artemis bridge crew that they cannot collapse the white
hole. Iniating an attack the crew is knocked unconscious. Waking later Kur'oh
makes his way to the unconcious Sovar and surveys the bridge. Requesting
a damage report the Artemis computer also informs the security officer
that the Artemis and it's crew have been displaced into the white hole.

While on the Ontaria, Foster discovers the Artemis has gone missing and
decides to evacuate the away team to the Newton. Sending over three
security officers to sweep the Newton and get the ship back online he ponders his
next descision. Over on the Newton the three officers make thier way to
main engineering and are attacked by some creature. they manage to subdue the
creature but not before one of their number is killed. Back on the
Ontaria Athean and McClure begin to discuss a way to cool down the core.

Down near the white hole universe, Jessie and Atha decide to implement
the plan to cool down the universe. Ryan calls dwon for a progress report
and Jessie answers him. Ryan informs the two that they need to abanon the
Ontaria for the Newton. Jessie informs Foster that this would prove a
better oppertunity to deal with the expanding universe. The two officers
exchange some more information and Jessie finally informs Ryan that Atha and
herself are working to the best of thier ability.

Foster decides to begin the evacuation to the Newton. Securing the
bridge he makes his way to the alien ships engineering section and sends Atha over
to the Newton in preperation for containing the universe on the Newton
while creating the opertunity to have a motivating discussion wiht McClure.
After his discussion, Ryan makes his way to the Newton's bridge and ponders
his next step.

Meanwhile back on the Artemis, Paul begins to enter a log on thier
current status but suspends his entry as he mulls over the situation. Walking
out to the bridge he takes center seat as a similar alien vessel to the one
that catapulted the Artemis into the singularity arrives and informs the crew
that due to thier actions they will be incarcerated, interrogated, and
conviently allowed to be executed on a planet of thier choice. The CO
calmy informs the alien vesselmaster that if they don't quit harrassing the
Artemis. The ship will have to respond in kind with a show of force.

Back on the Newton Jessie finishes helping Atha and returns to the
bridge upon Fosters request. Arriving there she mans the OPS station and begins
searching for the Artemis. After a while she begins to run out of
options as the FO notes her apparent frustration and walks over to see what the
problem is. Jessie trying to appear somewhat optimistic indicates that she has
found nothing as of yet. Down in the Newton's engineering section. Atha
discovers something new occuring in singularity. Contacting the bridge, Atha
informs them that she thinks the E.T.s from the singularity are trying to make
contact.

The alien contact turns out to be Jeremy in his familair guise of the
captain. who informs the FO that the Artemis is with in the singularity
and is beeing harrassed by another group of aliens. Jeremy
then informs Foster that he/they are going to help the Artemis get back out
and disable the alien aggressors. Jessie elated over finding the Artemis
begins to work on finding a place to put the singularity. After some research she
discovers the white hole had come from a region of vurtedion space. Calling over Ryan she
informs him of her discovery. Ryan seems less than pleased as Jessie
indicates sahe is going down to engineering to help Atha with the
singularity evacuation.

On the Artemis tempers flare as it is discovered the aggressive alien
vessel is so large, it generates it's onw gravity well. The FCO not realizing
this fails to compensate as the Artemis bounces off the alien hull. Sovar
casually admits the Artemis might have bitten off more than it can chew.
As Paul considers his options a small twelve meter vessel appears and
relases a huge blast of energy.

Back on the Newton, Foster gets a little testy as he calls for readiness
drills and Masters informs him that the regular crew of the Newton is
more than a little exhausted. while back in the singularity, Jeremy shows the
Artemis just what he/they are capable of by both destroying the
aggressor alien and sending the Artemis back into Coccon space.

After the appearence of the Artemis, Jeremy decides to make contact with
the Newton. after establishing contact Jeremy seems confused by the fact
that the artemis team has seemingly stopped helping him/them. Foster replies
that whatever Jeremy did caused some sort of imbalance and they have
less than 30 minutes to return the singularity to a safe place.

Beaming onbard the Artemis, Ryan informs Paul of the situation and what
has to be done. Afterwards the FO mans the helm and the Artemis procedes
under stealth at maximum warp into vurtedion space. Arriving there the crew
places the singularity back into it's proper setting. A few minutes later a
power surge is detected as one of the massive aggressor alien vessels from the
singularity tries to make the passage into Cocoon space but becomes
stuck. Simmons ponders the situation and what to do.

Back on the Newton, tempers flare as Sovar struggles to maintain
discipline. To complicate matters a vurtedion patrol ship appears and demands to
know why the federation has violated vurtedion space. Masters panics and goes
to red alert while powering up weapons. Sovar reacts in a decidedly calm
manner for such a breach of conduct and even more uncharacteristically manages
to work with the Vurtedions on the matter who indicate that they had just
engaged a small alien vessel some time ago. Sovar recognizes the ship as
the Sivian's and informs the vurtedion commander that maybe the sivian might
have beamed aboard the Newton.

Finally back on the Artemis they deal with the hostile alien vessel by
utilizing the tractor beam ot push the ship back into it's own space. As
they are doing so a Vurtedion patrol ship is discovered.

USS SAGAN

Currently Drydocked.

Beaver Squadron: Commodore Antonio Vasquez

USS HORIZON

The HORIZON looses her nacelles in another explosion, and a small fleet
of shuttles is launched, intended to tow the crippled ship to safer waters.

Malaar and Cady head off to do this, while most everyone else sits
around looking nervous.

Finding Selnan using the captain's yacht's sensors, Cady attempts to
beam the spy into the HORIZON's brig. Instead, he beams the disgruntled
vulcan into the shuttle, where she reveals herself to be Centurion Gelbak,
Romulan Tal Shiar, before beaming herself, and about everyone else around her,
into the slimy waiting hands of P'Ghal.

USS ATHENE.

Most of the senior staff finds themselves faced with a dance of death,
as they meet in the arboretum! A deadly water-based creature tries to suck
the juices out of them!

Lt. Martin is able to get everyone out, by use of elaborate iso-liner
chip tagging, but is left in the lurch, as he himself does not escape! Quick
actions manage to get his bodily pattern transferred into the
transporter buffer. Or at least there's *something* in there...

USS HERMES

Pleased with the perfomance of most of his command staff, Av'ern
announces the end of the readiness drill when the enroute officers are
successfully 'rescued' and the HERMES is projected to be out of the projected reach
of the core breach blast. After receiving the only member of the senior
staff that had been on the shuttle and greeting Lt Mihir of the Science
Department, the Caitian CO called in his 'problem officer'.

Cmdr Av'ern conveyed his displeasure and asked for an explanation for
CNS Kalayah's inactivity during what was meant to appear as an emergency.
The Romulan officer responded with an explanation of how an alternative
communication mode which utilizes shield vibration revealed that the
shuttle's red-line readings were bogus. Av'ern still was not satisfied,
but just as he began to speak, CEO Kelen happened to be trying to obtain
permission to enter, but the chime just happened to have broken.

In the meantime, two loading personnel from OMEGA, who shouldn't still
be aboard, walk into sickbay with injuries. When CMO Malcowski leaves them
in the care of Ensign Jones, a member of his staff and his lover, one of
the two men reacts violently to Jones' attempt to inject a pain-killer via a
hypospray, knocking her unconscious. The second misplaced man runs in to
see what was going on just in time to be included as an object of the Chief
Medical Officer's rage. Marco Malcowski flashes back to his ordeals on
Mars and refuses to allow them to leave Sickbay. When Jones' attacker tries
to get past Marco, the HERMES officer breaks his elbow, crushes his
kneecap, then knocks him out with a kick to the head. The second man moves
forward out of loyalty to his cohort, threatening the doctor with a knife.

After punching the knife wielder in the face and then disarming him,
Marco silenced his whimpering by knocking him into dreamland with his buddy.
Security arrives on the scene a bit belatedly and, under CSO Kurii's
orders, takes up positions to see that the set-to will not have a reenactment.

 Cocoon Fleet Situation Intelligence Report:
by Cmdr. Ilu

A ceasefire exists between the Federation and the Na'Chem. The Juun
have made no official comment. Several oficials sacked from the Juun
government following the exposure of genocide committed against the Na'Chem by the
Juun have attempted to lure the Federation into a war with the Na'Chem.
Starfleet is investigating these allegations of Genocide against the
Na'Chem heavily which may threaten the Juun's position in the Federation.
Starfleet Intelligence Officers are on the scene and investigating the reports of
Romulan influence in the matter.

A small number of Na'Chem factions are refusing to acknowledge the
ceasefire. Calling themselves the Na'stiu, they continue raids against the Juun.

An area of space being dubbed the 'Bermuda Triangle' has left Several
Starfleet vessels missing. A ship has been sent to investigate.

Amgine Sector Report:
by Lt. Serin Erl

Deep Space 101 has returned to it's previous location. The exact
circumstances of it's disappearance have been divulged to Cocoon Fleet
Headquarters.

On the outer sector of Outpost 108's scanners a brand new, what seems
to be wormhole has been discovered. From initial reports the wormhole leads
to the Andromeda Galaxy, the closest galaxy to our own.

The USS CURIE has returned from the far end of the Cocoon. A new HAWKING
class ship has arrived to replace the aging FEYNMAN.

Beyond the Portal:
by Lt. Michael Walters

The Klingon Empire has established a Ceasefire with the Federation
following the exposure of a conspiracy between the Klingon Houses in the former
Occupied zone and the Cardassian Union. Peace Negotiations are
proceeding slowly on Khitomer, several of the Federation's top ambassadors have
been sent and recent reports say that the Negotiations are nearing an end.

Fleet yards across the Federation are putting in extra effort to bring
the fleets numbers back up to what they were before the war. What Starfleet
lacks now is the personnel to staff those ships. Federation fleets are
regrouping and rebuilding following the recent war. The eighth fleet,
sixth and third fleets are the only fleets so far to regain their numbers to
what they were before the war.

The wormhole at DS 12 has finally sufficiently stabilized for traffic to
resume to the Gamma Quadrant.

Respectfully Submitted,
Sean McDonagh
