Thylassa Korian continues her examanation of the USS Hudson's CO,
Captain
Diak. She expresses some of her secret plans to her aide.

CMO Bill Patton calls up some background information about the
Horizon's
upcoming mission. They are to investigate the disappearance of the USS
Hudson. After travelling to the Andromeda galaxy through a wormhole
near
Outpost 108 and the planet M'Sagro III, all contact with the USS
Hudson
has been last. The Cochrane was sent to investigate, but was recalled
before they had found any answers. The Cochrane's crew did report
seeing
some kind of illusions aboard the ship, hinting at a telepathic race
on
the other side of the wormhole. Meanwhile, FCO/2O Phryn oversees the
mission pod exchange to the General Weapons Pod. When the exchange is
finished, the ship heads for M'Sagro III.

FO Leyson Ayden reports to sickbay for his annual check-up. The doctor
tells him he might be able to remove some of his implants, but Ayden
respectfully declines, because of the uncertainties attached to such a
procedure. Patton pushes him a bit about his backgrounds, but Ayden
won't
discuss it, and orders the doctor to keep his theories for himself.

USS HERMES
CO: Commander Michael J. Halifax
GM: Scott Bassitt
********************************

USS SANTANA (USS HERMES CGT):

Promoted to FO, Lt. Reetaw'agah must first complete CGT. Commander
Halifax accompanies her to the holodeck, and informs her of the
situation. The ship is the USS SANTANA, on a mercy mission to the
Dryden
system to counter an outbreak of radiation sickness on one of the
system's planets.

Lt. Reetaw'agah arrives on the bridge of the USS SANTANA to find the
ship
headed for a decidedly lower than anticipated orbit. Giving her first
command, she orders, very decisively, to pull up. Given that the
thrusters are out, that bit of strategy ultimately fails, and the
SANTANA
finds itself making an abrupt visit to the planet's surface.

On the planet surface, the natives couldn't help but notice the large
starship fall from the sky and crash near their village. The natives
feel duty-bound to help any in need, and send aid to the fallen ship.
Although the council of elders decreed that the crew of the SANTANA
were
not to be feared, many of the natives stay well clear of Lt.
Reetaw'agah,
due in no small part to the fact that a bird, to the natives, is a
harbinger of death. However, before the crew learns anything about
the
natives, they are abruptly called back to their village. Agah orders
Ens. Jynn to take a detachment and keep an eye on them.

Meanwhile, Ens. Rodin Jetro is ordered to make contact with the CEO,
Lt.
Stayan, to get a status report on the repair effort. The CEO bluntly
informs him that the SANTANA has become a permanent attachment of the
planet's surface, but is reminded that the CO still wants a formal
report. After ensuring that the CEO's first priority is
communications,
Ens. Rodin heads to the shuttlebay. Luckily, he finds that most of
the
shuttlecraft are still operational. However, their range has been
reduced dramatically by the fact that the shuttlebay doors are
inoperative, damaged beyond repair in the crash.

Following the natives, Ens. Jynn and his team find the villagers on
the
brink of a tribal war with another tribe, angry at the perceived
theft of
... Merimde. The natives perceive her as the only hope of surviving
the
FREEZING, an event which treatens the natives, unless they properly
prepare for it. After Merimde flies off in a huff, literally, Jynn
jumps in to offer the natives a hope of survival, and takes them to
Agah.
They are reluctant to beleive that Reetaw'agah can help them, and she
takes exception to being referred to as a 'Death-bringer'. However,
she
convinces them to describe the FREEZING.

USS HERMES:

Col. McKendrick and Lt. McClure are at loggerheads concerning the
fate of
the Artemis AI, ART. McClure unsuccessfully tries to get McKendrick
to
let ART decide where he/it prefers to be, when Lt. Qoensal arrives to
settle the dispute by initiating an inquiry into ART's release.

DS101
CO: Captain Alyza

The HIKARU make contact with the Plisho ship that sent the distress
message. Unfortunately before any information could be exchanged
there
was a massive power fluctuation throughout the HIKARU's systems.
Within
the blink of an eye, the HIKARU found herself back alongside DS 101;
appearing suddenly from empty space. Further investigation by the
DS-101's new CEO revealed that the power fluctuation coincided with
the
opening of a rift in space-time. The HIKARU was caught in that rift,
and
transported to DS 101 in 1.3 milli-seconds. How the rift formed and
why
DS 101 was chosen as HIKARU's destination were still unanswered
questions.

Jel'ar receives a visit from Rouge demanding payment for the illegal
weapons Jel'ar had purchased.

Lt.Cmdr. Roberts received a visit from a Vurtedion messanger. An
official from the Vurtedion home world has been dispatched to discuss
with Roberts on behalf of trade with Cait. Several stipulations were
made clear by the Vurtedions before these trade talks could proceed.
Roberts agrees to the conditions and arrangements are made.

Lt.Cmdr. Tuvar, a Vulcan, arrives to take over the post of Chief
Engineer. He had previously spent some time teaching Logic to the Q
Continum. He finds a backlog of repair requests and immediately sets
his
Engineering staff to work. Tuvar, himself, goes to the HIKARU.

The Xilfan Ambassador, Ergit, responds to Ambassador Warlord Av'ern
request for a meeting to discuss trade with Cait. An informal meeting
between the two Ambassadors is arranged.

Ensign Foley, Chief Science Officer, found a man dismantling the comm
system in his quarters. Foley managed to subdue the intruder and
transported him to the Brig.

Captain Alyza was holding a meeting with the Senior Officers, when
suddenly she finds herself elsewhere. A formless blackness.
Exploring,
she finds Ensign Foley. They are able to communicate telepathically.
Holding hands they explore the blackness around them. Suddenly
something
furry brushes Foley's hand.

To others present at the Senior Staff meeting, Alyza is present in the
here and now; although unconscious. Foley is in the same condition.
Exam by the medical officer Dr. Mira Ling (NPC), showed that Alyza's
and
Foley's brain acitivity was of that of a person wide awake. Ling
transfers the two stricken officers to Sickbay.

USS JOHN GLENN
CO: Captain Richard Murphy
GM: Adam West
**************************

After Murphy agrees to the plan for CSciO Martin and CMO Biaret to
take a
runabout and attempt to operate on the Talonid infested COCHRANE
crewmember, Biaret makes it clear to Martin that she's not happy with
the
plan. They proceed anyway and launch the runabout. Things proceed
surprisingly smoothly and they nearly complete the operation before a
proximity mine rocks both the JOHN GLENN and the runabout.

Wondering what is happening, CNS Scott makes her way to the Bridge and
watches as the crew attempts to discover the source and motive behind
the
minds. It isn't until she faints that they discover she's broken her
arm
and was too stubborn to go to Sickbay.

On the runabout, Martin forcefully beams Biaret back to the JG when
their
warp core begins to breach. He barely makes it out himself after
killing
the woman from the Cochrane who cannot be brought back to the JG out
of
stasis. Later, FO Horne realizes that he had known the woman from the
Cochrane, and her death hits him hard.

Repairs and investigations begin while CSO Greene and CEO Kess'Rith
attempt to find out the culprits behind the explosion. They find a
dud
explosive that, when scanned, reveals the high probability of SFMarine
involvement. Murphy and Horne share the same thought: Nash.

Martin arrives on the Bridge and announces the possibility of Cochrane
survivors on the planet's M-class moon. Greene publicly confronts
Martin's reckless behavior towards trying to rescue Cochrane survivors
and makes it clear she won't let him endanger the ship. Before he can
respond though, Dr. Zelith Waynes (on the planet below) uses his last
moments to open a permanent wormhole.

Cocoon Fleet Situation Intelligence Report (by Cmdr Seth Forster)
*****************************************************************
UPDATED SD 13.0516

The USS SELEYA, XERXES and ZEUS continue peacekeeping efforts and
patrols
among Na'stiu cells. The Seleya's most recent contact has agreed to a
ceasefire contingent upon other cells agreeing to the same. The Zeus
recently escorted a convoy of Ebmanok freighters through the Na'stiu
tension zone with no incident.

Diplomatic relations with the Juun are still considered to be in 'a
tense
period.' Talks continue with no advancement.

Actions to relegitimize SFIntel continue. The current Fleet
Administration has stabilized, allowing for more investigation into
past
Intel actions. Captain Ardeous Brockman was promoted to Head of
SFIntel
in the Cocoon following the reassignment of Vice-Admiral Elisabeth
Davies.

Several deaths due to shuttle accidents have caused great loss in the
Cocoon area as well as outside the Cocoon. Although there is
currently
no explanation for the sudden increase in shuttle accidents, SFEng and
SFSec are investigating the problem. Among those lost in the Cocoon
area
in the last few weeks are LtCmdr Viviane Taliesen of SB OMEGA, OMEGA
quartermaster Aleta Fehrahr, HORIZON Special Operative 5 of 13 and Lt
Tek, formerly of the USS HERMES. Perhaps the most saddening loss is
that
of former acting Fleet Administrators Admiral Fuschia Tino and
Vice-Admiral Elisabeth Davies, whose shuttle breached as they were
being
transported to their new assignments at SFHQ. These officers will
all be
missed. Memorial Services will be announced to Commanding Officers.

Amgine Sector Report (by Lt. Alac Nond)
***************************************

OP108 has completed installation of its orbital docking platform and
commercial and Fleet activity continues to grow in the area. The USS
HORIZON is en route to investigate the nearby wormhole to the
Andromeda
Galaxy. The USS HUDSON, which had disappeared while investigating the
wormhole is still missing.

Peaceful cooperation with races in the Amgine Sector continue to
increase
in the aftermath of the Noo'Ach Peace and Trade Conference.

Beyond the Portal (by LtCmdr. Eli Meyman)
*****************************************

The Klingon/Federation Officer Exchange Program has shown some success
and plans are in the works to expand the program. The Klingon Empire
and
the Federation have established a non-aggression pact that many
consider
the prelude to a new treaty between the two. Still no official
comments
or noticeable military movement from the Cardassian Union which is
beginning to cause concern over what, if anything, they might be
planning.

Unification talks between Romulan Ambassador Tultia and Vulcan
Ambassador
Skarov on Bajor have met an impasse and ended without success.
Ambassador Skarov made a public statement saying, "The Vulcan people
will
continue to work for peaceful cooperation with our Romulan cousins.
This
is but a first step and trust between us has grown." The Ambassador
did
not comment on any plans for a second meeting.
