USS HAMILTON
CO: Captain Judah Gibbons
GM: Janet Gist
***************************
Though the atmosphere is prickly at the mission briefing, the meeting is
quite productive. Since the Capree sector is largely uncharted, CSciO
Jur Lehron is assigned the duty of keeping a close eye on all that first
time data. OPS Christopher Michaels will need to coordinate with
Lehron to make sure sensors, power, and computer time are utilized in as
efficient a manner as possible. CNS Logaan Woods will have his hands
full with the delicate diplomatic situation. The two alien races are,
after all, at odds with one another and a group of unknown (possibly
mingled) composition kidnaped the SF mediator that the HAMILTON crew is
to rescue. CSO Mercedes McCarter will be in charge of the search and
rescue operation with CMO Chip in support. FO Miranda Sands will, of
course, be managing the moment-to- moment details and reporting the
bigger picture to CO Judah Gibbons. With their assignments clearly laid
out, Logaan essentially asks which is their priority, diplomatic
relations or recovery of the diplomat. Gibbons admits theirorders
emphatically place the greater importance on the rescue, including
permission to use critical force if necessary. Mercedes then asks
exactly what approach they will take if their initial peaceable approach
fails and the captain responds that a backup plan is being formulated.
As the meeting is adjourned, Mercedes is already assembling the skeleton
of a rescue plan needing only such details as terrain, resistance, and
target's condition to lock down the details.
As if the mission wasn't excitement enough, they still have Nengie to
worry about. The Merlog demon might not let them live until the ship
reaches their destination, after all. At the session Logaan made
mandatory for Mercedes, he shares Jur's theory that Sarah might be a
weapon against Nengie. Mercedes returns the favor by reciting a chant
she heard in one of her dreams the only word of which she understands,
"uglak," is the Merlog word for death. Logaan shows an inexplicable
amount of surprise at her recitation. Perhaps he knows the translation?
Is it good news or bad?

Kate Burke, the captain's wife, takes advantage of a moment of confusion
and attacks Chug. Despite several well-placed kicks and blows, the
criminal remains aware enough to stun her before she can complete her
escape. The last bit of common sense gone now, he starts beating her up
heavily. Fortunately, CNS Bordaq arrives on scene in time to save her
life.
Later, in his quarters, Bordaq discovers silvery lines on one of the
walls. As if that isn't strange enough, Maggy appears and tells him
"it'sa map, in the mind."
FCO Jarek Malaar makes it back to the bridge, his wife and their
daughter following him to the relative safety of the command center.
Confusion reigns over the bridge officers, as no-one has as much as a
clue about what's happening. Preliminary star sightings suggest they're
out of explored space, but the abnormal readings could just as well be
attributed to a malfunctioning computer. A disc-shaped object appears
off the starboard bow, but before anyone can figure out what it is,
sensors pick up a massive spatial distortion rapidly heading their way.
Just as
it enters visual range, power fails again on the bridge. After a few
uneasy moments in complete darkness, power returns, allowing them a look
at the object that has arrived. It's unmistakably a vessel of some
kind - but not one even remotely familiar to any of the bridge crew.

The USS CURIE and USS NIGHTINGALE continue their joint mission:
Mrell takes Canon and Alyza to Cardassia IX in one off his cloakable
ships.
On their way there they discuss Bajorans under Cardassian Rule, Lab-rats
&
other unpleasAnt subjects.
The 'Gale reaches the Nescian System and discover the 4th planet (
Nescio is 3rd) to have a eccentric orbit The 5th planet, A Gas-Giant,
has a ozone CO atmosphere, what could indicate LIFE!. It soon becomes
important 'cause when they reach this planet a tractor beam emitting
from this planet captures the 'Gale, and some kind of tube attacks the
'Gale. It has a SF energy signature, is approx 200 kms long and can't be
hurt by phasers. The tube, or as the 'galer's suspect SF-Intel gives
them 3 days to leave the area or else...The Curie comes to the rescue
and
photon-torpedoes the tube away, broken loose from the bottom end,
somewhere on or rather in the planet beneath the clouds
The Nescian Leader is convinced the crashing of the Tasmania is an omen
predicting the return of "the Prodigal Son". He travels to the
crash-site, is recognized by the living crew from the Tasmania as a
leader and beamed aboard.......
The Speeder "S" seems to be infected with a specially designed virus,
which has SF-Intel written all over it. Evidence against SF-Intel , or
rather of SF-Intel presence here, is growing bigger by the minute
