As CSO Mercedes McCarter wanders the settlement to shake
off her vision, a minor artisan offers to feed her, her
ravenous hunger clear to all the telepaths. She tries to
decline his offer, but he insists. After the meal, he
begins to tell her his people's history but breaks off to
caress her cheek. She pushes away, saying she has someone,
though her thoughts about this handsome, dark stranger
prompted his actions. He leans to kiss her, again at the
prompting of her thoughts, but she frantically races out.
A short distance away, she calls for beamup, hearing a
Nengie chant just before her erstewhile host grabs onto her.
The transporter field takes them both. In the TR she orders
the attendant out for his own safety. Mercedes then attempts
to send her unwelcome guest back down. He pins her to the
wall and she uses the traditional female reply, feeling
around for her stashed phaser while he kneels in agony. She
finds it: in his hand, pointed at her. He tells her to beam
them back down, but she refuses and reaches for her knife.This time, he
knocks her out. Then, he transports them,
scrambling the coordinates to thwart a rescue attempt.
The other prophesied Merlog savior, CNS Logaan Woods, is
also causing a stir. The creature that took him over subsides
when it hears CEO Chandler T'krn-McCarter is not on the
planet anymore. Logaan uses the lapse to hand over his phaser
to FO Miranda Sands and urge them to keep Chandler away. Just
as she is taking it, the creature revives and extends spikes
from his arm into Miranda's palm. She shoves him into the
shuttle and erects a high clearance code forcefield around
him. In the calm, CSciO Jur Lehron gets a chance to tell his
fiance, Sands, all that has happened to them. She decides to
head for Kinaresh. During the flight, Miranda works on
Arbitrator Calvert's bruised and cracked ribs, then Logaan
has another creature attack. The wind suddenly becomes very
violent and they land roughly. With the sand being thrown
everywhere, they see Logaan-creature has escaped, but not
where to. They reclose the hatch to wait out the storm not
knowing the creature has gone to order Prime Minister Xark
to attack Kinaresh and the USS HAMILTON.

The Malvedians return to the Horizon, this time a group from the future.
They say FO Leyson Ayden (who is from the future himself) has to come
with them, or Dr. Wednesday, who is about to arrive, will do great
damage
to the universe. Ayden understands and agrees, at the same time
realizing
it were the Malvedians who gave him the cybernetic implants that have
bothered him for so long. Though not fully understanding the reasons,
Captain Burke trusts his FO's judgment and has no choice but to let him
go. Moments later, Dr. Wednesday indeed appears. Before anyone
canapprehend him, he's gone again, taking Chug with him.
In the meantime, CSO Kor adjusts a set of quarters to meet
Lavender/Green's needs. As ordered by Burke, he surrounds them with a
level ten forcefield.

The CURIE and NIGHTINGALE continue their joint mission.
Kersh and Card rescue a woman from one of TASMANIA's escape pods.
Roberts receives a message from Steven, an Starfleet Intel officer, to
the effect that the neural program that had resided in Roberts head has
been tried on an Intel operative, Alex Monee. Unexpected side-effects
has pushed Alex over the line. Alex is currently on the CURIE with her
own agenda. She blocks any further communication from Robert's quarters
and locks him in. Alex makes changes to the 'tornado program' causing
the tornado to become much bigger than anticipated. Fortunately Fischer
is able to shut the tornado down before much damage is done. However,
he is kidnaped from his command chair via transporter to a
shuttlecraftwith Alex aboard.
