The threesome searching Lost Children's Street for Mediator Calvert's
daughter, Malaka, awaken just before another pass of the attacking
bombers. CSciO Jur Lehron immediately throws himself on his fiance, FO
Miranda Sands to protect her from falling debris. Once the
bombers are soaring off to turn back around, he begins shooing the
children, Miranda, and Mediator Minuar Calvert to more protected spots
in the area. One of the kids mentions a stranger, a newly arrived child,
and the two officers and mediator rush to the shaky-looking so pointed
out. As the bombers attack again, they find five children huddled inside
the rickety structure. None is Malaka, but they stay to persuade the
young ones to leave the death-trap they are in and get to safety. One of
the five they rescued knows of a girl fitting the description Jur gives
in a red-doored building a short distance away. Through the tail-end of
the most recent bombing run, Jur asks Miranda if they should go straight
to the red-dooredbuilding for the next part of their search.

Lt Thayer is doing the best she can to ensure the resuplying off the
'Gale goes according to the tight scedule they have, while being
re-dressed by a yeomen called Bina. After delivering the Food to the
kitchen she sat in the unoccupied chair at the end of the officer's
table and settled in for a long, and hopefully, stress-free dinner.
Ensigns T'Vek. Stevens, Benu and Fuller are promoted at the dinner-party
and will now be known as Lt's. We leave the party as Marcol Narai
sings "Two lives"
