When CEO Chandler McCarter doesn't show on time for her 1630
appointment, CNS Logaan Woods treks down to Sickbay to try to pry her
from her husband's side. She found she just couldn't leave, in the end,
not knowing from moment to moment whether Yossarian was still with them.
With a good civilian friend with one of the new McCarter twins in each
arm and having bet his Stetson on his ability to expeditiously report
any change in their dad's condition, she finally agrees to let Logaan
have his half hour. Once in his office, she admits that she is terrified
her children may have to experience growing up without their father as
she grew up never knowing either of her natural parents. While she is
gone, her husband's twin, CSO Mercedes McCarter pays a visit and
Yossarian's strain to contact her via their twin-bond gradually
reawakens his body enough that his eyes pop open and the medical
equipment shows the increase in brain activity.
Because Chandler is somewhat distracted, this is the ideal time for
Chandler's replacement to arrive and, contrary to Murphy, he does. Poor
Ensign Tyvek is in for an interesting introduction to some of his senior
staff compatriots, though. When he walks into the captain's readyroom,
he catches the Deltan CSciO kneeling and admiring the CO's ankle. CSciO
Jur Lehron blushes, jumps up, and exits wishing Tyvek a good day. Then,
after inviting the engineer to a chair, CO Miranda Sands sits staring at
him until he feels compelled to ask if she is alright. She replies by
asking if his is familiar with Hytritium. After his affirmative reply
and short, accurate description of the substance, she gives him a copy
of the mission orders and dismisses him to study them, not letting him
get away without an apology and warning about Jur's periodic
weirdnesses.

CSciO brings the alien device safely aboard and she starts her
investigation of the mysterious thing.
Aboard the Pri-Sat, Cady wakes up and, to everyone's surprise, his
recent injuries have all but disappeared. CMO Electra Threin suspects
the Joyan medicines have something to do with it. What's worse, Cady's
body hasn't just gotten better at healing itself, it's ageing much more
faster than usual. The seconds half of the away team, consisting of aFO
Bordaq, CNSStan the Man and H'llstam, returns to the Horizon, taking
Ad'am along as captive. After debriefing Bordaq, Stan and H'llstam, CO
James Burke and Stan go to the brig to have a talk with Ad'am.

Cmdr Emond, the new FO, reviews recent log entries. Hunter recovers
from her allergic reaction and Fischer says his good-bye. Since the
YEAGER will be based at DS 101, hopefully they will not be separated
permanently. However, Fischer's departure upsets Hunter mightly. Two
officers from the Astroscience department identify the location of the
Usarian homeworld. Ensign Korag Terias report to Capt Alyza for duty as
Chief Security Officer. Roberts and Tifflor aid the repairs of the
COACH KING. The Senior Staff meet to decide how to proceed with the
Usarians.

The ship's still in orbit over Qun and the status is still yellow alert.
Everyone is doing their tasks,engineering does maintenance,
Astrographics is deep field scanning. McKinnley is on to Stuart's
test, and prepares one himeself. The senior staff asemles in the
conference room to do the final briefing.

Fischer finds that some goodbyes are hard to make as he finally departs
DS101 and heads by D-Warp to see the Admiral at OMEGA. Meanwhile the
rest of the crew continues to get to know the ship and new comrades. On
returning from a short trip to Gaia, Naalauilos almost
literally runs into Phillips only to be completely confused by his
nervous reaction. The Romulan FO is slighted when he perceives a
commander from Gaia shipyards to be encroaching on his authority.
Satisfied that he has put his foot down with the Engineering department,
he turns his attentions to Science only to find the elf-like CsciO seems
to have a ready answer for his 'questions'.
