After not being able to drop off, new OPS Mara Thull walks down to
Engineering
to meet the CEO. The Chief Engineer isn't there, but she does run into
his
custom Emergency Medical Hologram who lets her know Tyvek will be on the
mine
survey Away Team that is to shuttle down to the planet as soon as they
arrive.
Back in her own quarters, Thull reviews some of the information
available on
their destination before finally becoming sleepy enough to drop off for
the
night. When they arrive the next day, the shuttle is on its way when
sensors
pick up what first registers as interesting debris. When it changes
course for
an intercept, the readings resolve to show 3 ships heading toward them
with a
decidedly less than nonchalant attitude!

Ad'am tells his story to CO James Burke and CNS Stan the Man. Among
other
things, he is very upset about the crew allowing the 'Holy' to die.
After
checking with CSciO Abi Seldon and OPS D'Art Storm, who are
investigating
the object they just removed from the ship's deflector dish, it becomes
clear this object is probably Ad'am's Holy. In an effort to safe its
life, Seldon and Storm set up a miniature deflector dish to 'feed' the
Holy.
CMO Electra Threin has managed to stop Cady's rapid aging process, but
not until his body has reached a physical age of about 100 years. Cady
reacts rather calmly to the news at first, but soon makes it clear he'd
rather die trying to regain his youth than live the rest of his life
like
this.

Daniel Sayer, intrepid reporter for the Federation News Service, asks a
importune question in Security Central and gets shown the door by Ens
Torias. FO tries out the holo-interpreter communicating with the Usari.
Arrangements are made to disembark the Usari passengers from their nine
ships, using the ships to evacuate more from their home planet. A place
aboard the station, customized for Usari comfort is prepared. Ensign
Thar proposes the theory that Usari communication forms shows that they
identify themselves in context of what they do within their society.
Dr Poynton develops a cure for the viral-caused deafness, but it
involves the use of a type of nannite to deliver curing compounds
developed by Deyhui physicians. It will take several days to replicate
a sufficient number of nannites to begin treated everyone affected with
the deafness.

Mrell and Alex have a discussion over 216 and why rescue someone that
tries to kill you. Alex makes it clear she doesn't trust him but still
feels in Mrell's debt. Dalob finally get time to examine his science
department, and meets his crew, before joining the staff meeting. There
it is told that monitoring Qun will be taken over by SF Intel. Not by
the YORKTOWN, as had previously been discussed, but by the USS GHOST.
216, or Saerin Faral, as she will be called, will remain onboard. The
meeting is disrupted by a message from Cpt Alyza, DS101. The 'Gale is
needed for an evac mission. They head for DS 101, warp 9.5, and will to
arrive in about 4 days. Mrell confronts Cmdr Cannon about the CO'S odd
behavior. Meanwhile the 'Gale picks up its passenger, Ens Padraig -
temporary CNS, at OP108, in a quick stop and go maneuver.
Cmdr Cannon gets a message stating he's promoted to Captain, and LtCmdr
Stuart to Cmdr.

Naalauilos tracks down the person responsible for the
genetically altered plant that Shapel had quizzed her over.
Rather than the expected scientific curiosity being behind the
experiment, it turns out to be the seed of a mystery. Having
been found by the USS Zahal on a relay station where all the
crew had simply vanished, is the mystery plant a clue, or insome way a
suspect?
Donald finally recognizes his old academy roommate and avoids
the incipient panic attack to renew his acquaintance with Draat.
More of the crew report in, Lt. Qoensal, the new Rentarian
CSO (Who has a frank exchange with the Romulan FO) and the Kzin
OPS, Ensign Ya-nar. The Captain begins doing the rounds,
possibly in the hope of finding a single member of his crew that
has a sense of humor.
Orders finally arrive, looks like a simple 'shake off the
cobwebs' and perform a bit of maintenance on some relay
stations. A 'milk and cookies' run.... or is it?
