CSciO Abi Seldon faces the difficult task of freeing OPS D'Art Storm
without killing the Holy. She comes up with a plan to use a shuttle's
deflector as bait, hoping the Holy will give up Storm in favour of the
shuttle. CO James Burke has a talk with Ad'am, who tells him he should
ask Di'ana. As aFO Bordaq returns to the Pri-Sat to get her, Seldon puts
her plan into motion... and sees it work. Storm is beamed to sickbay,
being put in a bed next to his boyfriend SOXO Nathan Cady. As much as he
wants to help, Cady can only watch as CMO Electra Threin begins
treatingStorm's injuries

The meeting between the Usari Command Staff and DS 101's Senior Staff
continued. Cmdr Emond posts extra security to cover the meeting. The
First Technician of the Usari Fleet offers his help in converting
quarters aboard DS 101. Shortly afterward Alyza and the rest of the
Senior Staff, along with Usari passengers board the HIKARU for the nine
day trip to the Usari homeworld. The HIKARU will escort the transport
vessel TASMANIA. Following will be the NIGHTINGALE escorting another
transport, the PERTH. With these vessels it will be possible to evacuate
8957 from the Usari homeworld, should it prove necessary.
Katie is very upset with Kersh for going on this mission and delaying
the wedding. Hakon and Marta decide to remain on the station. Two new
shops open on the Mall Level, 'Pat's Plants' and 'Nature's Bounty
Organic Produce'.

USS NIGHTINGALE

After the staff meeting, Stuart, McCuen, and Dalob discuss Canon's
recent uncharacteristic behavior. Shortly after the Senior Staff
meeting, which Canon ended abruptly, Mrell is found beaten and almost
dead in the turbolift. At about the same time the only two full-blooded
Betazoids on board, Cmdr Nari and CWO Lanii, fall unconscious;
apparently victims of a psychic blast. Mrell is taken to Sickbay where
McCuen and Stuart operate to save his life. Meanwhile, Dalob, McKinnley,
Ma'Kauran and others investigate the incident. Canon stays out of site
either in his quarters or the Ready Room. Thayer has Bridge command. Ens
Kathleen Phadriaq reports aboard as temporary CNS.
After surgery, Stuart goes to inform Canon of the recent events. Canon
abruptly tells the FO to 'handle it'. Evidence gathered in the turbolift
is inconclusive. Calling it a night, McCuen leaves Sickbay only to
return two minutes later to 'check on Mrell'. Shortly afterward, with
McCuen again departing Sickbay, Mrell's condition crashes. Dr Benu
rushing into Mrell's room, finds the nurse unconscious and Mrell once
again near death's door. The next morning Stuart, McCuen, and Benu
review the video record showing McCuen leaving, then re-entering Sickbay
the previous night. All agree that the second visit was not made by Dr
McCuen. Canon orders McCuen's arrest. Unable to dissuade the Commander,
Stuart tips McCuen about the arrest order. Stuart then goes to speak
with Faral, nee 216 from Qun. Inquiring whether she has 'shape-shifting'
abilities. The conversation is interrupted by CSO McKinnley's arrival.
McKinnley, following Canon's orders, places Stuart under arrest and
confines him to a cell in the Brig. Canon soon shows up. But it's not
really Canon, it Nalon, a rouge changling thought killed two years
previously by McCuen. Nari and Lanii regain consciousness and using an
empathic link leads others to the real Canon, locked in his closet. It
is quickly realized that Stuart and Nalon/Canon are together in the Brig
and a rescue party is organized.
In the midst of all this drama, orders arrive from FAdmrl O'Connor
promoting Canon to Captain and Stuart to Commander.

USS YEAGER

The FO's rather Romulan attitude is having a possitive effect.
Makor and Ya-Nar begin to develop a friendship, based partially
on the fact that they have both found themselves on the wrong
side of Shapels attentions. Fischer seems to be adding to that,
his order to brighten the place up with plants in received
enthusiastically by the elven CsciO despite it contradicting the
earlier concerns of the Romulan.
The department heads get on with the meal where some comparison
of cultures is done. The ships mascot arrives, a stuffed dolphin
which is soon names Mach, a gift from Hunter on DS101. Sadness
catches the captain off guard at the thought of the love he has
left behind. The CNS broaches his concern at some of Shapels
behavior and then deftly turns the conversation to the Captains
own emotional state, Ficsher however ducks the question.. A sure
sign that its something Donald will need to follow up on at a
later date.
Following the meal, the Captain starts the meeting outlining
their mission, investigating two relay stations between OMEGA
and DS101 which have stopped functioning properly with a mention
of the missing crew and the plant found by USS Zahal.
