After having distracted the two fellows they met in the tunnel, Security
staffer Alberquerqui and OPS Mara Thull "mistakenly" lose their companions
in the tunnels. When the HAMILTON crewmembers find a wet spot next to a
dark portion of tunnel wall that is getting wetter every moment, they
recall their erstewhile hosts' comment that the dwelling area and many of
the tunnels were flooded and CSO Mercedes McCarter, at least, was swept
away by the swell of water. Drilling through the wall with their phasers
would be too noisy (thus, too dangerous) without a distraction, though.
Checking into the next room along the tunnel reveals a major storage room
with an enormous generator against its back wall. Sparks fly when they
destroy the huge piece of machinery, but the real excitement comes after
when the denizens of the tunnel labyinth freak out over the loss of power.
Al and Mara then blast a whole through the damp wall into a flooded tunnel,
releasing a good bit of water into their own tunnel, and begin calling for
their missing crewmates, CSO McCarter and CNS Logaan Woods, and their
CO Miranda Sands. Hopefully, the tunnels don't bounce the sound around so
that it leads them away from their compatriots!

USS HORIZON

Captain Burke, CNS McRae and the senior staff of the Horizon-1000 take
a shuttle toward the old Horizon. Engineer Mann has disappeared and
Burke hypothesizes he has already been beamed back to his own ship.
Burke hails the Horizon-1000 and with both crew working together, they
soon figure out what has happened.
On the old Horizon, CSO Cady and OPS Storm try to discover what happened
to them on the bridge, but the equipment is so unfamiliar that it's a
lost cause. Instead, they focus on finding a way to get everyone back to
their own time.

During the return to DS 101 the HIKARU is stuffed to the overhead with
Usari refugees, including some in stasis. Dryden's cabin guests gave
him a large, blue egg as a going away gift - he makes plans to find a
cage for whatever hatches. Four weeks from the station the HIKARU is
met by a Federation Red Cross vessel and is able to transfer their refugees.
Soon the HIKARU docks with DS 101 and most of the crew are more than ready
for a little R&R. Kersh returns to find that Katie and Jack had left the
station shortly after Kersh joined the Usari rescue mission. He searchs for
them, but finds no sign at other stations or ships. Dr Poynton is on hand
to welcome the Senior Staff back. Poynton and Nurse Jackie Lines get in some
recreation time. A rash of shoplifting and petty crime occured while the staff
was away. Ens Selyna Gates arrives from the Academy to take over the post of
Chief Security Officer. Capt Alyza spends some time with her brother.

USS NIGHTINGALE

While Staurt was enjoying the peace in his office, he got a personal message
stating his father is murdered. Meanwhile, after docking at DS 101, Canon
gets a temporary transfer to the USS DESTINY to train counsellors. He tells
Kari to look after the ship for him. Kari sends Ens. Polk, who sees pale,
to see the CMO. Kari goes around the ship telling people how to live healthy
and announces to start some exercise classes
Ens Gabriel Pilgrim arrives to become the ‘Gales Chief Engineer. When he is
introduced to the first officer, he offers him his credentials. Stuart
reads them, the official reprimand too. He fills him in on the previous
mission,and suggests a complete systems check. In the meantime he invites
Ens pilgrim for dinner together with the rest off the senior staff.
Canon visits adm S’Telk to discuss his transfer. But it doesn’t help him and
so he goes and beams over to the USS DESTINY for a while…
Ens Gabriel meets the crew on the bridge And settles in on the ship. As he
enters the engineering section, he is accused off being late, being mistaken
for a crewmemeber and not for the new Chief Engineering by LtCmdr Kelen.
Gabriel then gets to work in engineering trying to get acquainted. After his
shift he goes to the swamp for the dinner.
