.The Horizon rescues all of the colonists, but the colony itself is
destroyed by a Deserte warship. Eighteen Deserte invaders are killed in
the process. The Horizon leaves Amazonia. They will rendezvous with the
freighter Trump for transfer of the civilians, then proceed to Omega.
Captain James Burke makes up his report to Fleet HQ.

CSciO Solevar informs the FO that a group of sub-light ships is fleeing
from on of the seven planets the Athene has been asked to look into.
Since the ships are old, they are being badly affected by the
emanations from the nebulae, and they won't resist for more than 72
hours; the problem is they are a pre-warp civilization, and that makes
it a Prime Directive issue.
FCO Pellew falls unconscious and is immediately transported to sickbay.
CMO Severn manages to momentarily free his mind from Arogos. In his
brief moment of clarity, Severn confesses that he poisoned the FCO, and
manages to trap Arogos within his mind, preventing him from affecting
any other crew member. Nevertheless, by holding such a strong entity
imprisoned within his mind, the Doctor is risking his life, but he is
confident that the crew will be able to help before it is too late.

kidnapped.

An away team has been sent to the Bah'roon in order to help its crew.
Unfortunately, CEO Holtz and OPS Thull have been made prisoners by the
Naron crew, which is hiding from something in an isolated section of
the ship. The rest of the away team is still in the shuttle.
In the meantime, another Naron vessel arrives, the To'ral, and its CO
doesn't have a friendly attitude. Cmdr. Fischer is unable to
communicate with him, because their language has never been deciphered
by the Federation.
After some hard work, CNS Phillips and CSciO Naalauilos create a
translation matrix that is at least supposed to make the two CO's
understand each other.
