Representative of the Houses of Water, Sky and Shadows meet and discuss how
toproceed against the Federation. The Shadow Lord doesn't trust the other two.
The Horizon can only look on as the Federation embassy falls to the rioting
mob. Local police forces don't appear to do anything. The Horizon calls the
Telmarc Chairman, but he's in no hurry to answer. Finally, Grand Madam Tilara of the House of Mothers responds on the Chairman's behalf. She approaches the
Horizonon a Fuchsia class warship. Her apology on what happened at the embassy
seems insincere. OPS D'Art Storm, who majored in hostage negotiation at the Academy, offers his help to CO James Burke. As Storm and CSO Cady go to the
transporter room to welcome the Grand Madam, her aide, Madam Blomst, and two female officers aboard, Burke quickly checks with Fleet Command. He has permission to do what is necessary to retrieve the Ambassador, as long as he stays within the mission orders. Meeting with the Grand Madam and her aide, Burke learns all 34 embassy personnel have presumably been taken hostage. One of the hostage takers, a man calling himself Number One, threatens to kill a hostage if police forces move closer.

As soon as the nebulae offspring is beamed back into space, its
'mother' tries to reabsorb it, but the offspring is resisting a return
to the parent. The Athene soon finds herself surrounded by the mother
nebulae, which is blaming the starship for the loss of her 'child'.
Ens. Kallesin is already working on a way to communicate with the
nebulae, which obviously needs some parenting lessons.

Capt Alyza, over Grayson's protest, assigns the case of Grayson's missing
assistant to Velez.
Lt Nanto begins his Command Grade Training in Holosuite 3. The HIKARU,
in deep space, is set upon by ships of the Scree. The Scree are an
extremely xenophobic race and attack anyone wh enters their territory. But
the HIKARU is well clear of Scree space. The Scree vessels open fire.
HIKARU's shields are down. Alyza, Emond, and Card are down and out of
action. Nanto remains the only senior officer on the Bridge capable of
giving orders. He calls for an emergency med team to the Bridge; sets an
evasive course and diverts all remaining shield power to the aft shields -
that being the quarter of the Scree ships. Helm responds slowly. Automatic
targeting systems are unresponsive. Warp systems are also down.
The situation looks hopeless.
But is not that the purpose of CGT.

Thanks to aCMO Xixx, OPS Thull's infatuation for Bragollach is over,
and she is cleared to leave sickbay.
Together with an investigation team, CSO Readdy and CEO Holtz try to
find out something more about the man who poisoned OPS Thull with the
love elixir; since his body was completely carbonized, they can't tell
whether he really died or if it was just a fake. All they can do is
hope that he won't return.
During his tour of the ship, Cdt. Alexowitz stumbles across Lt
Naalauilos, the CSciO.
