The Vulcan ambassador calls the Horizon. Some of the Federation embassy's
personnel got to the Vulcan embassy. The Vulcans will send them on a routine
shuttle slight to their ship in orbit.
The diversion by Rademach and Valarn works. They neutralize the fifteen
hostage-takers without alarming others, killing only two of them. As Valarn
and Storm move on towards the hostages, Rademach tends to the wounds they've
made.
The Horizon teams receive aid from Hamel Tung, a Telmarcian siding with the
Federation, although they don't know it.
One of the leader's of the hostage-takers receives a report from a
subordinate. The man hasn't yet found how the Cocoon Portal is operated.
Meanwhile, Foulau hasn't been able to pry anything from the Federation
ambassador either, despite heavy torture. As he is about to leave, the
Horizon's SpecOps team enters and kills him. They beam the heavily injured
ambassador to the ship. There is a sudden blast, and Cady is gone. He's been
transported through time, presumably by his nemesis Chug.
J.E.B. Stuart, an SFIntel agent posing as a smuggler, spies on the Telmarc
miliary shipyard. A large warship has recently finished construction.
Elsewhere, Mr. B, Maggy, Nimaiacta and Xyx get rid of their pursuers,
getting themselves a vessel to get into the Cocoon undetected.

Cpt. Spencer Doon finally assumes command of the Athene, and he orders
the ship to a full stop until he assessed her current situation and
crew.
After a brief general report to the CO, XO Martin departs with a D-Warp
shuttle to SB Omega, leaving the ship without a First Officer.
Android Kallesin n'Galeda is promoted to the rank of Lieutenant Junior
Grade, and reassigned as ship's Chief Operation Officer and acting
Second Officer.

Dr Nelson attends to the injuried aboard PROPHET'S GRACE. Meanwhile, Sue
goes to the 'Rising Star Bar and Grill. She decides to apply for a job
there.
Ens Lucas Brooks, CEO, goes to his office where he finds Cadet Wheeler
waiting for him. The newly arrive Cadet has been assigned to Engineering
for his Cadet Cruise. Brooks and Wheeler prepare to examine the item he
retrieved from PROPHET'S GRACE. They discover that the item is actually a
timer-controlled bomb placed to destroy the PROPHET'S GRACE. It was only
because of a burn-out of its power chips that prevented the bomb from
exploding. HE informs the FO and CSO of his findings.
Cpt Alyza relunctantly accepts Emond's resignation. Later at a Staff
Meeting she announces that Lt Nanto has successfully completed his
Command Grade Training and is now Second Officer of the Station. With
Emond's resignation, Nanto will also assume the duties of acting First
Officer.
