LtCmdr. 'n Galeda, Lt Aster, Ensign Ciate and Ensign Troghar leave
a message near the cave's entrance and head back to the control room,
where 'n Galeda connects himself to one of the computers. He meets the
Guardian of the stasis field, an AI, who tells him he knows where Dr.
Naestra and his team are. He also tells about the history of a race
called the Gerlayty, who controlled a vast empire billions of years
ago. The stasis field holds P'ronfl Rr'ecx, a mighty Gerlayty warrior
who was imprisoned by a race of energy beings the Gerlayty fought for
decades.
On the EMRV, Dr. Biaret is treating Lt Greyhawk's extensive
injuries. She offers her thoughts on how to battle the fires in camp
Porter. Despite her vehement objections against LtCmdr. Einicrox's
plan to beam down to the location of 'n Galeda's distress call,
Captain Burke decides to let the CSO go ahead. She and security
officer Ensign Llewpan put on EVA suits and jump out, landing hard but
safely. Burke employs the EMRV's fire suppressant systems to clear a
path to where 'n Galeda sent his transmission.
Ensign Abby Gibson, a forensic scientist, investigates the camp
originally set up by Dr. Naestra. Everything is still there,
unperturbed, as if nothing out of the ordinary every happened.
Returning to Valley Forge, Gibson is shocked to find the entire camp
gone. LtCmdrs. Porter and Lockhart beam from the EMRV to the MTMR and
return to Valley Forge to find out what happened there.
Aster, Ciate and Troghar fail to keep an eye on the room's oxygen
levels and they collapse when the air becomes unbreathable. Rr'ecx
escapes from the stasis field and traps 'n Galeda in a force field. He
also attacks the Horizon, where LtCmdr. Nova'Song collapses under the
mental stress this brings. The Guardian contacts 'n Galeda one last
time to tell him how to defeat Rr'ecx.
Einicrox and Llewpan find the Ferengi Blirb, who had been hiding in a
pool of water. An earthquake hits when Rr'ecx escapes and the three of
them fall into a deep chasm.

findings.
Commander Daniel Stuart, upon hearing that Captain Pol Cannon would
be leaving the `GALE, took a moment to reflect on the times he spent
there.

After a night rest dr Hemux wanders back to the bridge and concludes
the bridge is missing his captain. He wonders how the sessions with
Fisher will go in the near future and when Fisher will be back and
ready for duty again.
Lt Connor wakes up from falling asleep while writing a sample of an
adjustment to the ships log. He and Xixx discuss the events that have
happened and the captains physical and mental state. Together with dr
Hemux Connor goes back to the bridge.
