The Second Week
           of Advent

Every valley shall be filled in, every mountain and hill shall be made low; The rugged land shall be made plain, the rough country, a broad valley. Then the glory of the Lord shall be revealed, and all mankind shall see it together; for the mouth of the Lord has spoken.
                                                                                                        Isaiah (40: 4-5)

The four candles that we light during Advent represent the four weeks of Advent. Three of the candles are purple and one is pink. On Christmas the four candles are replaced with four white candles to symbolize the presence of  Jesus.

We light the second candle to represent that Jesus our light is coming.

 Today's Advent Activity
Say the Our Father while lighting a candle, and reflect on God's presence.
