Baby Bat: A person that is new to the Gothic scene that is unfamiliar with the Gothic culture. A Baby Bat may sometimes manage to come into Gothic society without being mistaken for a Gutter Goth or a Spooky Kid. (see Gutter Goth and Spooky Kid) But this term has also been viewed to be the same as the terms Gutter Goth or Spooky Kid.
Basher: A person who hates a certain group of people usually due to ignorance. A "Basher" may even seek out the individual group that they hate to assault them; such an act is known as a "Hate Crime" and is against the law. (The word "basher" usually is used with the name of the type of people before it. Example: Gay basher, Goth basher.
Bat Cave: One of the first Gothic Clubs. Located in Soho (London) it opened in the early 80's where the first generation of Gothics went to dance to good music.
Bi: An abbreviation for the word "bisexual."
Bisexual: A person that is sexually attracted to both genders.
Black Magik/Magic: Magic used to do bad things.
Black Metal: A type of music with spooky themes that usually involves low pitch angry vocals, and heavy guitar and drum playing. (also known as death metal)
Blessed Be: 1. A Wiccan blessing.
2. Words sometimes used at the end of a letter instead of using "Yours Truly," or, "Sincerely" that has become some-what popular in the Gothic community.
Bondage: 1. Restraints used as a sexual fetish.(see S&M)
1. Jewelry that is made of leather with metal attachments; such as metal stubbs, pyramids or rings. (popular in Gothic fashion).
