Who Washed Your Fallen Nature?

The life of faith exists in order to remove your fallen nature. It is not God or Jesus but the person of more sinfulness than you who removed your fallen nature. Existing churches believe that Jesus saves them. That is not true. The person who has more fallen nature than you only can wash your fallen nature. Then in this life the person whom you hate most and dislike most takes care of your fallen nature. The way to remove it is to connect yourself with God's position on one hand and be persecuted yourself by those people on the other. Unless you have God on one hand, you cannot bear it. . . .

Watergate: Tragic Failures

On February 1, 1974, President Nixon's deputy special assistant, S. Bruce Herschensohn, guided Reverend Moon on a tour of the White House and gave him detailed explanations about the Cabinet Room and other historic points. Then he ushered Reverend Moon and me into the Oval Office. . . .

"You may find my words somewhat shocking and abrupt. Can I ask you to listen to me with an open mind?"

President Nixon, responded, "Yes, of course, Reverend Moon! In fact, I really need that." And he settled himself to listen to Reverend Moon's words respectfully.

Reverend Moon began to speak in a tone that was both stern and sincere.

"Mr. President, please don't think that you can overcome this difficult period with wisdom that is squeezed from the minds of the people on your staff.

"Mr. President, you have to rely on God. You must place your trust in Him completely. To do that, you must get down on your knees before God and repent in tears. You must ask His forgiveness. Then, with a completely reborn heart, you must set aside all political objectives and private concerns to humbly apologize to the American people in tears. You must place yourself in a position where you are an offering before the American people and people must feel that you are only trying to act in the interest of America, to bring about peace for all humanity, and to accomplish the will of God.

"Mr. President, you need to move the hearts of the American people. Then you need to receive their forgiveness. The American people are a great people of God. Once they understand your true intentions, they will forgive your past mistakes and give you their fervent support."

President Nixon listened earnestly to Reverend Moon's every word. I employed all my abilities in English and all my spiritual strength to translate these words from Korean to English. I felt that the life and death of all humankind depended on my translation. I had to convey not only Reverend Moon's words but also his spirit and love...

"Mr. President, this country has faced several crises in its history that challenged American presidents to make very courageous decisions. Probably the most serious was the Civil War. The country was divided. Brothers were killing brothers. Both the North and the South were suffering tremendous casualties. The nation was in mortal danger of splitting in two.

"At that time, President Lincoln's heart was heavy. He had to find a way to unite the people and renew their faith in the government. He took the bold step of declaring a national day of fasting and prayer, asking people to repent and renew their faith in democratic principles.

"Mr. President, more than one hundred years later America has come to a similar juncture of history. You must do something extraordinary. Just a simple apology to the people will not do. May I suggest that you declare a week of repentance, and fasting. You can begin yourslef and set an example. The hearts of the American people will be moved, and millions will follow your example in the spirit of forgive, love, and unite, which I declared in my Watergate statement.

"I will support you in this endeavor with all my power and with the help of my movement in America and around the world. The voice of repentance and fasting will shake the planet. There will be prayer and fasting on the steps of the Capitol and the White House. Let the people hear the sound of prayers from every hill and valley in America asking God to directly intervene in the affairs of this nation.

"If one week is not enough, extend it to two weeks or three weeks, even as Moses endured forty days of fasting before he finally received God's message."

President Nixon seemed to think deeply for a moment about what Reverend Moon had just said. Then, he made his promise.

"Reverend Moon," he said, "that sounds like a great idea. I will consider that option."

The president continued. "I know that you are not thinking only about the country but also the world in making this unconventional suggestion. Please continue to pray for me. Right now, I need your prayers more than anything else. Please continue to pray of this country, too.

Reverend Moon responded as if to prod the president. "Mr. President, you already have my prayers," he said. "Even if you pray, God cannot work unless you take action courageously and decisively.

"Please have courage. The Bible says, 'Whoever seeks to gain his life will lose it, but whoever loses his like will preserve it." [Luke 17:33] Be brave, and make your decision. You need to carry this out within the next three days. After that, it will be too late. Please don't forget that ten million innocent lives are at stake. If you are not courageous, many people will die. You can save this country and save the world. But you have to have the spirit that you are prepared to sacrifice your own life, if necessary, for that purpose, Mr. President!"

Reverend Moon spoke with overpowering intensity and authority. If the public had witnessed this scene, many would have been reminded of scenes in the Old testament where a prophet gives God's command to a king.

President Nixon made a clear promise.

"I understand," he said. "I will do that."

The two warmly embraced each other again, and Reverend Moon left the Oval Office with a feeling of great exhilaration. He was happy that he had accomplished an important mission.

However, despite his firm commitment, President Nixon failed to take any decisive action within the next three days. In the end, people concluded that the president had obstructed the Watergate investigation and engaged in a cover-up. . . .

Watching It Unravel

The New York Daily News, Sunday, April 11 -- As the security situation worsens in Iraq, the Bush administration finds itself at a loss. There's a huge gap between its assurances that Iraq is on its way to flourishing into a democracy and the harsh, complex reality that exists there today.

Secretary of Defense Donald Rumsfeld says that last week's violence that claimed dozens of American lives and hundreds of Iraqis is the work of a few "thugs, gangs and terrorists," not a popular uprising over the U.S.-led occupation.

Other officials dismiss Moqtada al-Sadr, the young rebel cleric behind the rebellion, as an "outlaw" and "murderer" - not a leader of an anti-American uprising.

They're gambling that other Shiite clerics will distance themselves from al-Sadr, thus diminishing his influence. American officials also are trying to trivialize the Sunni rebellion in another part of Iraq by blaming most of the attacks on foreign fighters, Al Qaeda and remnants of the former regime.

But Washington's view of these rebellions is dangerously symptomatic of a pattern of policy miscalculations, blunders and misreading of the Iraqi religious and political landscapes...

It also is essential to recognize that there is no military solution to the violent struggle unfolding in Iraq. The Bush administration must have the political courage to fundamentally rethink its strategy before the country plunges deeper into chaos.

The logic of the U.S.-led occupation must be replaced with the logic of an international authority under the leadership of the United Nations with the active participation of the world community, particularly Arab and Muslim states.

The goal is to reassure Iraqis and give them time and space to debate various political formulas suitable for governing their country and sharing power.

It will take a few years. Sharing the burden of reconstruction in Iraq will serve vital American interests, not just communal harmony and political stability in the Arab heartland.

Fawaz A. Gerges is professor of Middle East and international affairs at Sarah Lawrence College and author of the forthcoming "The Islamists and the West" (Cambridge University Press).

INTERVIEW: Karen Armstrong

Read a special RELIGION & ETHICS NEWSWEEKLY interview with scholar and author Karen Armstrong. (September 13, 2002 Episode no. 602) She has written many books on religion, including THE BATTLE FOR GOD and ISLAM: A SHORT HISTORY:

On America's response to 9/11: That's complicated, of course, because America's a huge place, and it will vary in different parts of the country, different neighborhoods and different cities. But there has been a commendable desire on the part of American people to understand Islam.

An extraordinary thing happened after 9/11. The American people descended on the bookstores and swept everything on Islam off the shelves. That is very positive. It didn't happen in the United Kingdom. British people weren't remotely interested in finding out more about Islam, but Americans are curious in that way, and when I went round lecturing, people impressed me with their tough-minded desire to try to come to terms with all this.

That said, though, there's still a lot of hostility, and for a lot of people, you don't even have to scratch the surface. . .

The Chechen Nation and Society

The Chechens call themselves the Nokhchi (Noxçi) or the Nah. The word is commonly said to derive from the Biblical name of Noah, and the same word can be found, for example, in the country name Vainakh, referring to the common homeland of the Chechens, the Ingush, and some Dagestani peoples; as well as in the South Caucasian town and area called Nakhichevan (Naxçivan), which belongs to today's Azerbaijan... According to Lyoma Usmanov, the Chechens originate in the ancient kingdom of Urartu (900-600 b.C.) and later in the Georgian realm of Djurdjuketia (300 b.C.). In the Middle Ages, the Chechens participated in Caucasian monarchies such as the kingdom of Serir (600-1000 a.D.), Alania (700-900 a.D.), and Simsim (1100-1300 a.D.).

The first of the great religions of the Middle East to reach the Chechens was Christianity, which spread to Chechnya from Georgia as early as in the eighth century, in other words, 300 years before the Eastern Slavs ("Russians") of the principality of Kiev started to become Christianized by Prince Vladimir. The Chechens thereafter converted to Islam quite slowly, only from 1300s onwards, influenced by the Sufi brotherhoods of Naqshbandiyya and Qadiriyya, which were spread from Dagestan to inland by Kumyks and Avars. The last regions of Chechnya, including Ingushetia, converted into Islam only in the 1700s. There are still Christian Chechens, too (mostly Georgian Orthodox).

The expansion of the Russian Empire reached the Chechens little by little in the 1700s, and the bitter resistance struggle continued ceaselessly for a century onwards, until 1859, when the Chechen independence is usually thought to have ended by the surrender of Imam Shamil to the troops of Prince Alexander Bariatinski. In fact, the resistance struggle did not stop there, but continued as guerrilla war, general instability, and sporadic uprisings all the way through the czarist and Soviet periods to our days.

War(s) On Terror?

Scott Ritter
Challenging Kerry on his Iraq vote

... More than 900 American troops in Iraq are dead and more than 5,000 wounded as a result of that vote, numbers that are sure to go higher. Kerry cannot honestly say he was not aware of the paucity of verifiable intelligence concerning the existence of WMD in Iraq on the eve of war. I personally discussed this matter with Kerry in April 2000 and again with his senior staff in June 2002. I asked Kerry to allow me to testify before the Senate Foreign Relations Committee during its hearing on Iraq in July-August 2002 but was denied. Kerry knew that there was a viable case to be made to debunk the president's statements regarding the threat posed by Iraq's WMD, but he chose not to act on it.

As a lifelong Republican who voted for Bush, I have made it my personal goal to make sure that he does not survive his first term because of his decision to go to war with Iraq without any legitimate justification. However, I believe there are many people, especially disenchanted Republicans like myself, who even though we reject Bush are looking for a good reason to vote for Kerry. Bush's elective war with Iraq provides that reason, if only Kerry could find a way to separate himself from the Bush record that does not insult the intellect and integrity of the electorate. . . .

Kerry needs to publicly reexamine the reasoning for his vote for war and articulate a clear strategy for Iraq that includes not only a plan for reengagement with the international community but also disengagement of American soldiers.

These are real issues that must be addressed directly if Kerry plans on winning the votes of the many Republicans who have been put off by the disingenuous nature of Bush's war in Iraq. To brush them off as hypothetical puts Kerry on the same hypocritical plane as President Bush when it comes to Iraq, something that will not endear him to the legions of crossover voters he needs to win the presidency.

Scott Ritter, former UN weapons inspector in Iraq, is author of "Frontier Justice: Weapons of Mass Destruction and the Bushwhacking of America."

Julian Borger
We Could Have Stopped Him

Mike Scheuer, a senior intelligence officer who led the Bin Laden station for four years... has done what no serving American intelligence official has ever done - published a book-length attack on the establishment. His book, Imperial Hubris: Why the West is Losing the War on Terror, is a fire-breathing denunciation of US counter-terrorism policy. In it, Scheuer addresses the missed opportunities of the Clinton era, but he reserves his most withering attack for the Bush administration's war in Iraq.

He describes the invasion as "an avaricious, premeditated, unprovoked war against a foe who posed no immediate threat but whose defeat did offer economic advantage". He even goes so far as to call on America's generals to resign rather than execute orders that "they know [...] will produce more, not less, danger to their nation". Bin Laden, he believes, is not a lonely maverick, but draws support from much of the Islamic world, which resents the US not for what it is, but for what it does - supporting Israel almost uncritically, propping up corrupt regimes in the Arab world, garrisoning troops on the Saudi peninsula near Islam's most holy sites to safeguard access to cheap oil.

"America ought to do what's in America's interests, and those interests are not served by being dependent on oil in the Middle East and by giving an open hand to the Israelis," Scheuer argues. "If we're less open-handed to Israel over time we can cut down Bin Laden's ability to grow. Right now he has unlimited potential for growing." What makes these comments the more challenging to the Bush administration is that they come from a self-described conservative and instinctive Republican voter.

War(s) of Terror -- Africa Again?

JAMES RON
U.S. doing the right thing in Sudan

The U.S. war on terror has largely been a disaster, exacerbating existing conflicts, provoking new ones, and running up huge financial debts. The occupation of Iraq is chaotic, opium-exporting warlords run Afghanistan, and the "counterterrorist" tactics of President George Bush's close ally, Israeli Prime Minister Ariel Sharon, are crudely destructive.

Yet, in the Horn of Africa, the Bush administration is doing some real good. U.S. officials are condemning a brutal policy of ethnic cleansing by government-allied militias in Darfur, a vast region in western Sudan, and have used their influence to successfully promote a truce that may save thousands of lives.

Riek Machar
COLONIAL BRITIAN HANDS OVER SOUTH SUDAN TO THE NORTH

Instead of establishing an advisory council for South Sudan similar to that of North Sudan, the resolutions of the Administrative Conference held in Khartoum in 1946 surprisingly advocated the colonisation of South by North Sudan. It must, however, be pointed out that the conference took the decision at the back of the people of South Sudan as they were not represented and because the conference was meant for administrators in North Sudan only, the British administrators in South Sudan did not attend. Consequently, this unexpected outcome revealed the conspiracy between the British and the North Sudanese supported by Egypt to hand over South Sudan to North Sudan as a colonial territory. Certainly, this plan provoked bitter reaction from the South Sudanese and their sympathisers.

Olivier Barlet
The modernity of genocide
A burning question remains : why the horror ?

. . . What is behind the genocides of the twentieth century if it is not the egocentrism and insecurity accompanying the affirmation of the individual's autonomy which characterizes modernity ? The temptation to project onto the other what is ours is strong. And a Rwandan proverb tells us : "Nta wiyanga nk'uwanga undi (Nobody hates himself more than he who hates others)".

In their quest to surpass, artists open themselves up to all influences and facilitate the removal of projections. They thus explore a fraternity in which the identities of each and everyone are no longer the centre of human identities : not a fraternity of blood, but a fraternity of sharing.

United Press International
WHO: AIDS is world's major health problem

NEW YORK, May 11 (UPI) -- A United Nations report describes AIDS as a disaster for the world's poor countries and the leading cause of death among those aged 15 to 59.

"Changing History" is the first World Health Organization report devoted entirely to HIV/AIDS, which has killed more than 20 million people since it was first recognized during the early 1980s.

The report emphasizes that AIDS is mainly a disease of poor people and poor countries. Last year, an estimated 5 million people worldwide became infected and 3 million died.

The U.S. patented CURE for AIDS

In October 1977, the United States patented a "method for curing AIDS" patent #5676977. The product is called TETRASIL/IMUSIL and is a one-time injection/infusion that eliminates bacterial pathogens in the blood system of an individual. It is this cheap and effective cure for AIDS that is the subject of my presentation.

As a 29-month recipient of this one time injection, I further submit that we have an effective and cheap remedy for AIDS that is ready now. Our goal in bringing this information to the international community is to serve as a conduit for the necessary global “double blind?efficacy clinical trials of this U.S. patented CURE for AIDS.

What is Tetrasil?

from the Marantech website http://www.Marantech.com

Marantech has identified a number of Electron Jumping Compounds (EJCs) that have been found in independent laboratory testing to exhibit antimicrobial activity. However, to date the bulk of Company testing of EJCs for pharmacological safety and efficacy has centred on tetrasilver tetroxide, a multivalent metal oxide also known as Tetrasil®. Independent laboratory and clinical testing indicates that Tetrasil molecules selectively target and kill rapidly proliferating organisms (e.g., cancer cells and pathogenic micro-organisms) through a multitude of nano-level electrical discharges followed by physical combination (chelation), while leaving normal tissues generally unaffected. The unusual suspected kill method may thwart the development of pathogens resistant to Tetrasil therapy. . .

Dr Antelman's Theory on Causation of AIDS

"Our approach to AIDS is non-conventional. There is HIV without AIDS and AIDS without HIV. Nobel Prize winner Kary Mullis has pointed this out as well as his position that AZT is a failure. Accordingly we have patients who display viral load reduction and those that do not who are nevertheless cured of AIDS because in certain cases HIV will be neutralised and remain in the body with no visible change as far as the present "viral load" test technology allows for."

Dr Antelman indicated that there exist 5 standard etiologies (reasons of causation) for AIDS:

p.carinii pneumonia, 51% distribution in general population
Wasting Syndrome, 19% distribution in general population
Candidiasis, 13% distribution in general population
Kaposi¡¯s sarcoma, 11% distribution in general population
Dementia 6%, distribution in general population . . .

Treatment of AIDS

From an article, Antiviral Tetrasilver Tetroxide Therapy, by Dr Marvin S Antelman. The full 5-page article is available through Dr Antelman or Compassion Response Network.

AIDS-Non Terminal Patients: "Clinical testing was performed at Exetec Lab, SA in Honduras under the supervision of Dr. L Roland Valenzuela. Thirty patients were selected from three etiological AIDS groups, 10 for each group namely, Candidiasis, Wasting Syndrome and p. carinii pneumonia. Each patient was given an intravenous infusion of 15 PPM Tetrasil dispersed in a buffer solution administered over a three hour period. All patients experienced temperature elevation within 48 hours of administering the Tetrasil, which was indicative that the immune system was now functioning along with the fact that all patients also started to have dramatic increases in their white blood cell counts. At the end of 30 days of observation, all patients were cured of AIDS. All patients presenting Wasting Syndrome were completely cured of the Syndrome; the average patient gaining approximately one half pound per day. Three patients were completely cured of their pneumonia. Because the protocol was changed from direct injection to slow i.v. infusion of the Tetrasil, there were no side effects of hepatomegaly."

More shocking than the revelation, in the Taguba Report on abuses at Abu Ghraib, that contractors in civilian clothes roamed freely in the prison, answering to no one and effectively outside the chain of command, is the fact that neither of the two contractors declared in the report to be "either directly or indirectly responsible for the abuses" has been indicted for any crimes. It has recently emerged that in an astonishing lapse on the part of American legislators, the actions of the tens of thousands of contractors in Iraq are not governed by any comprehensive body of criminal law...

Professor Manning Marable
9/11: Racism in a Time of Terror

I think that as Americans, we must also make a clear distinction between "guilt" and "responsibility." The Al Qaeda group is indeed guilty of committing mass murder. But the United States government is largely responsible for creating the conditions for reactionary Islamic fundamentalism to flourish. During Reagan's administration, the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) provided over three billion dollars to finance the mujahadeen's guerilla war against the Soviet Union's military presence in Afghanistan. The CIA used Pakistan's Inter-Services Intelligence, or secret police, to equip and train tens of thousands of Islamic fundamentalists in the tactics of guerilla warfare. . . .

There is a clear link between 9/11 and the shameful political maneuvering committed by the U.S. at the United Nations World Conference Against Racism held in Durban, South Africa, only days before the terrorist attacks. There the U.S. government opposed the definition of slavery as "a crime against humanity." It refused to acknowledge the historic and contemporary effects of colonialism and racial segregation on the underdevelopment and oppression of the non-European world. The majority of dark humanity is saying to the United States that racism and militarism are not the solutions to the world's major problems. Transnational capitalism and the repressive neoliberal policies of structural adjustment represent a dead end for the developing world. We can only end the threat of terrorism by addressing constructively the routine violence of poverty, hunger, and exploitation that characterize the daily existence of several billion people on this planet. Racism is, in the final analysis, only another form of violence. . . .

Thom Hartmann
The Genetically Modified Bomb

Imagine a bomb that only kills Caucasians with red hair. Or short people. Or Arabs. Or Chinese.

Now imagine that this new bomb could be set off anywhere in the world, and that within a matter of days, weeks, or months it would kill every person on the planet who fits the bomb's profile, although the rest of us would be left standing. And the bomb could go off silently, without anybody realizing it had been released - or even where it was released - until its victims started dying in mass numbers. . . .

The Project for a New American Century's (PNAC) report titled "Rebuilding America's Defenses: Strategy, Forces and Resources For a New Century."

Genetically targeted weapons could change world politics forever, according to PNAC.

"And," their report notes, "advanced forms of biological warfare that can 'target' specific genotypes may transform biological warfare from the realm of terror to a politically useful tool."

Given that Kristol, Wolfowitz, and their conservative PNAC associates like Dick Cheney, Donald Rumsfeld, Richard Perle, Eliot Abrams, Jeb Bush, and John Bolton have already brought us two of their early 1998 recommendations - the seizure of Iraq and a huge increase in defense spending - it's tempting to wonder if this is another of their other politically useful ideas being explored by the Pentagon.

History of Wars On Terror -- In Your Name?

A true believer doesn¡¯t ask any questions. A true believer accepts no answers from others. A true believer believes in what he believes, believe it or not. Mr. Bush may be one of these, he has stated it this way: ¡°I believe what I believe and I believe what I believe is right.¡± He has in fact hinted that his wars in the Middle East are Holy Wars. Israeli paper Harretz says that according to Palestinian Prime Minister Mahmoud Abbas, Bush told him, ¡°God told me to strike at al Qaida and I struck them, and then he instructed me to strike at Saddam, which I did, and now I am determined to solve the problem in the Middle East.

If you help me I will act, and if not, the elections will come and I will have to focus on them.¡± (Source: Al Harretz, 06/26/03, Israel).

US Criticized for Withholding News of Kim Abduction

The crux of the allegations of a U.S. cover-up is that the Seoul government confirmed its plan to dispatch an additional 3,000 troops to Iraq, on July 18, the day after Kim was [announced] kidnapped. By the accounts of the Seoul government, it wasn’t aware of the incident. This has touched off speculation that the U.S. didn’t inform Seoul of the kidnapping in order to enable the South Korean government to press ahead with its confirmation of the dispatch plan. Experts say that if the kidnapping had been known to the public, the government would have had a very hard time in pushing ahead with the unpopular dispatch plan.

In 1996 a scientist claimed he'd found a way to defeat AIDS. In the wave of euphoria that followed, a batch of new drugs flooded the market. Four years later, those drugs are wreaking unimaginable horror on the patients who dared to hope. What went wrong?

Mycoplasma and New Respiratory Illnesses Including SARS

The figure below documents a patent on the most important “pathogenic mycoplasma.?The developer was the Armed Forces Institute of Pathology “inventor?Dr. Shyh-Ching Lo. Lo assigned the rights and royalties on the patent to AFIP’s American Registry of Pathology in Washington, D.C. As detailed herein, this lethal germ had been genetically engineered during the mid-1980s by Lo and colleagues. They initially isolated the germ from AIDS patients. They planned to use it later to detect antibodies in HIV carriers as well as to develop vaccines against mycoplasma.

Mycoplasma, for the reasons Dr. Nicolson described, and their “stealth virus?like capacity to evade the immune system thereby being very difficult to identify and treat, had been routinely used by top secret biological weapons researchers and genetic engineers as early as 1970 as shown in the next figure. The following is a list of experiments conducted on Huntsville Prison inmates in Texas in collaboration with Baylor University School of Medicine. This school, by the way, was also administratively linked to George H.W. Bush, one of the Board of Advisors of the University. This information holds further implications as detailed below. While reading this list, note the date and title of the first “mycoplasma vaccine?study was September 10, 1970, and included pneumonia. This has relevance to the currently outbreaking Gulf War Syndrome II, which Pentagon officials have stated sources from an unidentified form of bacterial pneumonia.

It should be noted that Mycoplasma is considered a cross between a bacteria and a virus. Many current investigators believe it is another man-made laboratory creation since it is relatively new in the history of microbiology... Other mycoplasma-associated illnesses include many autoimmune ailments additionally related to “stealth virus?infections, all of which have increased dramatically in recent years.

Moreover, serious respiratory ailments described by Lo in his mycoplasma patent report are highly reminiscent of SARS, as well as Gulf War Sydrome II respiratory illnesses. (For official reports on GWS II-associated pneumonia, see the articles section of this website.) . . .

HISTORICAL ASPECTS

. . . Suspicion by a noted researcher Garth Nicolson, Ph.D. (originally of the M D Anderson Cancer Research Center in Texas and lately of the Institute for Molecular Medicine in Huntington Beach, CA) that the Mycoplasma fermentans incognitus was bioengineered in order to make it more virulent and useful for germ warfare was another revelation I was unable to handle, at first. Dr. Nicolson explained that he identified an alteration in the molecular structure of the Mycoplasmas he had found in Gulf War Veterans who were ill. The Mycoplasmas were found to have had an envelope gene from an HIV organism inserted into its nucleus (GP 120). This would make the organism more invasive and harder to treat. He explained that this insertion does not occur naturally, but can be "forced" using specialized laboratory techniques. (A mutation caused within a laboratory setting.) While germ warfare is certainly not a subject that is pleasant or easy to think about, we cannot afford to bury our heads in the sand, either. . .

Now that Dr. William Reeves has openly admitted that funds, earmarked by Congress for the study of CFIDS, were misappropriated by the CDC, the next question is WHY? Why has the CDC and NIH not funded any studies of suspected pathogens? Why was the diversion of funds used for psychological studies as the only explanation of CFIDS? . . .

Consider the following information supplied by Elizabeth Naugle of the Candida & Dysbiosis Information Foundation:

It has been legal for the last two decades for the Department of Defense (DOD) to test chemical and biological warfare agents on civilian populations without their knowledge. [United States Code Annotated, Title 50, War and National Defense, Chapter 32, Section 1520. Passed into public law on July 30, 1977; quietly repealed on Nov. 18, 1997 as part of the DOD 1998-99 appropriations bill, after outrage voiced by Gulf War Vets.]

Prior to 1977, the University of Maryland conducted mycoplasma vaccine testing on prison inmates. [JAMA 199:353-58, Feb. 6, 1967]

In the early 1970’s, Mycoplasma vaccines and many viral agents were tested on inmates of the Texas prison system by doctors affiliated with the University of Texas, in Houston. [Ref: "Medical Research, Experimentation and Pharmaceutical Testing in the Texas Department of Corrections" by Robert Russell Bozzelli, 1974 Master’s Thesis, Sam Houston State University.]

Research done by a fellow sufferers, Sean and Leslee Dudley from the Mycoplasma Registry, led me to the possible connection between Mycoplasma and CFIDS. They led me to a researcher by the name of Shyh-Ching Lo. Lo originally filed a patent on Mycoplasma, with the US Patent Office in 1986. . . .

Marriage is multicultural

As an evangelical Christian, I believe and affirm the biblical model of the family. But as an Asian-American, it is clear to me that the traditional family is not just a Western construct. The traditional family is an Asian construct as well-because it's universal.
