Wolfe MountainHouse #17 - Completed 8/7/96
![]() The ski lodge where it all begins My seventeenth house. The sport of skiing has finally been translated into the GPRO world! IMHO, I think this is a great house. I think you will to. There will be a sequel sometime, but I'm not sure when I'll make it. 29 rooms, QT movie, A from GT Here is the review from GliderTech:
Paul's Grade: A
There's nothing like the feeling of rushing down a powder-covered mountain, wind whipping your face, the beauty of nature surrounding you. Actually - I wouldn't know. I don't ski. But, anyone can become a veritable skiing pro (like those guys in "Aspen Extreme") in Matt Wolfe's latest house, Wolfe Mountain. Just when you thought he'd run out of ideas to fling our gliders through, Matt comes up with something else. Wolfe Mountain is almost entirely custom artwork, and the effect is impressive; you get a bit of the sensation that you're really on a skiing path. For a non-skier, I enjoyed the house greatly. The QuickTime video is a miniature skiing lesson, although some of its admonitions are not quite based around skiing. I would like to quibble over the artwork, as the trees, boulders, and moguls could have been drawn better (they look rather odd when pout in the same room). Other than this minor problem, I wholeheartedly recommend Wolfe Mountain as a great sporting... er, Glider PRO experience.
Shawn's Grade: A-
Contrary to popular belief, there is snow in California. In fact, in 1971 there was a freak snowstorm in San Jose. Granted, I wasn't there to see the quarter inch of snow, but it must've been cool! If you go North, though, there's some great real skiing, but that won't open for a while. If you want to ski and want to ski NOW then download Wolfe Mountain. This was definitely a cute "house", but a bit short. The art was cheesy, but that doesn't matter... I had fun. You had to maneuver your glider down a ski slope. A new and original idea. It's not too surprising to get something really surprising from Matt Wolfe. The only problems were that it wasn't fun to have to start over. It got too repetitive. It got too repetitive. It got too repetitive. It got too repetitive. It got too repetitive. There was one point where you have to wait 10 seconds before you could continue. Fine the first time, but dull after that. But keep up the great work Matt! I loved it... Now, when's that Wolfe Mountain II coming?
