Wolfe Tower IIIHouse #15 - Completed 2/9/96
![]() I am so evil again!! My fifteenth house. Yes, part three in the Wolfe Tower Series. In this one, there are NO blowers. You must use helium to make your way up the tower. Very, very addictive (not to mention hard)! Don't worry, this isn't the last Wolfe Tower. 28 rooms, A- from The Cockpit Here is the review from The Cockpit:

If I had to explain this house in one word it would be "Impossible." Well, no it's not impossible (I beat it,) and that's not all it is. The art was so-so, and was the only reason why Matt didn't get an "A." I've played both of the other Wolfe Towers, and loved them, but I feel they get better as they go along. However, some one else doesn't feel that way: Aaron Shakra gave WTIII a "6.5 out of 10" in GameWire (good 'Zine, I recommend it.) I strongly disagree. Talk about fun, and difficulty: this 28-room may look easy on the outside, but it's not pretty on the inside. I swear I must have played this house a million times: its the most addicting Glider house yet. It's a long download, and Matt uses too much art from the CD, but it sure is a good download.

What a pleasant surprise to see another Wolfe Tower installment, the house series that started a whole new generation of tower-themed houses! I'll admit that the new Wolfe Tower III wasn't as great the previous installment, Wolfe Tower II, but it still has that flair that has carried on this whole series of houses. The challenge, fun and frustration (sometimes it's hard to climb a whole tower with mostly helium!) are the key elements that makes Wolfe Tower III great. The one jeer I have is simple: vary the art a little. This is a problem that appeared in the first Wolfe Tower, throughout the whole house we had to a feast out eye with a plain rooms! I would have liked to see different backgrounds as well as a few more custom objects. Oh well, can't win 'em all. Matt Wolfe, the author of this house has boldly gone where only one other house author has gone (Jim Cox/Jim's Palace 3) before by creating a two sequels to a house and if I were him, I wouldn't stop here.
