50 YEARS... is certainly golden. I am still amazed that mom and dad made it to their 50th wedding anniversary. It was such a joy to see them together at the Old Mill that day. It touched me deeply when mom and dad strolled across that banquet room, holding hands, to visit and chat with that newlywed couple. It was as if they were "passing the torch"... It was a great testimony of success in their life that we all shared in that one
single moment. I was so proud of them that day. Not many families get to experience an event like that, EVER.... Our family is very lucky....
A PROMISE... To hold you both dear in my heart forever. To speak fondly of both of you whenever and wherever your names are mentioned. To know that you are both reunited and at peace from the troubles of the world. To be caring and thoughtful to my brothers and sister, niece and nephews, and to enjoy my family's company, come what may. To cherish my existence of who I am, that I was created from the love you had for each other. I will never forget....
FOR THE HOLIDAYS.. To think of you both fondly this Christmas and to remember the good times we
had in Lorne Park. Trying to fit the tree in the corner of the family-room and knowing that Dad's favorite hiding
spot for presents, was in the crawl-space, next to the workshop in the basement. Boy did Mom ever collect a ton
of junk.. *laughs*. I still remember the smell of croquettes in the kitchen and the holly hanging from the dining room wagon-wheel light. And who could forget Mom's weird felt Christmas tree wall-hanging she hung from the inside of that half-split front door...*sigh*... You will be missed this holiday season.
Pure and simple....
