B.H.M.S (DEGREE COURSE)

(Bachelor in Homoeopathic Medical Science)

The degree course of B.H.M.S shall comprise a course of study consisting of the curriculum and syllabus provided in these regulations, extended over duration of four years. The academic studies will be followed by one year of compulsory internship in the Hospital attached to the Homeopathic college or affiliated with college or in the recognized and experienced clinics. At the completion of the internship of the specified period the National Council for Homoeopathy shall issue the registration (R.H.M.P) to the successful candidates.

Admission Criteria

At least second division in F.Sc Pre-Medical or equivalent examination. The candidate seeking admission on the basis of B.Sc degree must have passed F.Sc Pre-medical and B.Sc or equivalent examination in at least second division from any recognized university with any one of the following subjects in addition to chemistry.

1. Botany, 2, Zoology, 3, Biology, 4, Pharmacology, 5, Microbiology.

Age Limit

The students above the age of 21 years in case of having F. Sc. and 24 years of having B. Sc on the last date for the receipt of application shall not be admitted.

B.H.M.S. GRADED DEGREE COURSE

(Bachelor in Homoeopathic Medical Science)

The graded degree course of B.H.M.S shall comprise a course of study consisting of the curriculum and syllabus provided in these regulations, extended of duration of TWO years. The apprenticeship shall be undertaken at the Hospital attach to the Homoeopathic College or affiliated with college after fulfillment of academic courses. At the completion of the internship of the specified period, the National Council for Homoeopathy shall issue the registration (R.H.M.P) to the successful candidates.

Admission Criteria

At least 50% marks in D.H.M.S (Diploma in Homoeopathic Medical System awarded by National Council for Homoeopathy.

Age Limit

However, age limit shall not apply to the candidates seeking admission B.H.M.S. (Graded Degree Course)

D.H.M.S

(Diploma in Homoeopathic Medical System)

This is an excellent course to provide the foundation of homoeopathy. It requires a high standard of work of over 4 years under syllabus laid down by National Council for Homoeopathy. Six months of internship is required to be registered as a Homoeopathic Doctor (R.H.M.P).

Admission Criteria

The minimum qualification is Matriculation, however higher education is preferred. The details are available in a separate prospectus for the course which is available with the administration. No age limit is effected.

Class Examination

Students are not allowed to take into the examination hall text books, notes or manuscript of any kind. Any student found infringing the examining rules or having resources to unfair means may be expelled from the examination and the matter shall be reported to the principal, who may refer his case for action to the college executive body.

Books Etc.

Every student shall provide himself with all the presented text books and other necessary appliances.

Correspondence

Students desirous of addressing the principal, by a letter must do so separately. Joint applications are entirely prohibited and will not receive attention. Any student wishing to make a representation on any subject has the right of direct access to the principal, at any time during the college hours. The principal, professors and other staff are accessible at any time for listening to the difficulties and grievances of students and shall always be pleased to advise them.

General

Students are required to observe order and discipline at all times in the college. Smoking within the college premises is entirely prohibited. No game of any sort is to be played during the college and hospital duty hours. Displaying and distribution of partisan and political pamphlets or circulars etc; in the college and hospital are not allowed. All irregularities, neglect of duties and breaches of discipline are to be brought to the notice of the Principal by the professors under whom the student is working. Any student breaking or damaging any college property shall be required to pay the cost of repair or replacement. In case of wilful damage, he shall be punished under the college disciplinary rules.

Vacations

Summer Vacation:    As per schedule decided by the Executive Body

Winter Recess:          December 25 to January 1.

Spring Holidays:       April 1 to April 18.

Time Table

Programme for the lectures, practical classes and hospital training will be notified by the Principal before the commencement of the academic session and during the session when a change is necessitated.
