website down actually not so much down rather than purposly miscoded so the posts wont show up. I'm pretty sure im going to have to change my website to a dreaded blog or to another site address. Ask me why if you give a shit.
6/21:: 69th Post / College...
Just because I graduated from High School doesn't mean that I can't still giggle at the sight of the number 69. Speaking of being a semi-grown-ass man, I drove over to University of Portland early this morning and did my class registration and got my
student id. I'm unofficially officially in college now. Since i'm already declared as a chemistry major my course was pretty set already but it seems alright. We changed the courses up a bit because I'm going to study abroad in London sophmore summer, or so thats the plan me and the schedual lady came up with. Basically I have to wake up at 8 for classes Monday through Friday, thats unavoidable because i get the bitch left over classes since im a freshman. and then i have a few night classes which also sucks but whatever.
Precalculus II Monday, Wednesday, Friday, from 8:10 - 9:05
General Chemistry I Monday, Wednesday, Friday, from 9:15 - 10:10
US Modern America Monday, Wednesday, Friday, from 12:30 - 1:25
Intro Philosophy Tuesday, Thursday, from 8:10 - 9:35
Persuasion and Leadership Tuesday, Thursday, from 4:10 - 5:35PM
General Chemistry Lab Tuesday, from 6:10 - 9:10PM
First Year Workshop Monday, from 6:00 - 6:55PM
Chemistry 207A Workshop Tuesday, from 12:55 - 2:55
Basically my schedual is an hour more than incoming freshman are supposed to have but the lady said she was letting me be an exception. I didn't want to be the exceptiong, i hate that lady. Alot of chemistry classes and im not even sure if i want to be a chem major, maybe physics or biology or maybe computer science. I'm fucked.
6/20:: Criminal Damage, Absolute Ruler, Clorox Girls, Possitive Approach, The Observers...
I haven't been to a show in a really long time so when I saw that
the observers were off tour and playing a hometown show, I just had to go. I had been job hunting (still) all morning and afternoon so I figured I owed it to myself hah. Took the MAX and walked to the Food Hole. This is the first time i've even been to a show at this venue but its across the street from the paris theater. I liked it alot actually, but it was about 8 feet wide by 70feet long. It was so narrow that if you werent in the very front you couldn't see any of the bands but whatever it was still rad. The first band to play was
Criminal Damage, Personally I thought they sounded good but I honestly can't compare them to another band because I can't remember what they sound like. I'm not sure if i have a bad memory or they just didn't stand out to me. I will go with the memory excuse and say they were good, because I remember jostling my way inside to hear them. Next was a band called
Absolute Rulers, and as the name states they ruled. Not to be descriptive or anything but they sounded good and i would definatly see them again. Now the
Clorox Girls played. I've seen these guys play a handful of times and they never disappoint. I couldn't help but sing along to "Vietnam" and "Don't Take Your Life Away" so to allow myself to do it at home as well i picked up their
self-titled record.
Pretty excellent depite being a little short but whatever i'll deal. Unannounced to me from the show fliers,
Possitive Approach played as well. Yes, thats right,
possitive approach not
negative approach. Picture negative approach but possitive and doing covers of
7 Seconds and BAM you got Positive Approach. This was my first time seeing these guys but damn i hope it's not the last. It was wierd because as i posted below about my distro, my first tape i recently made was 7 Seconds - The Crew, oddly enough they covered "Walk Together, Rock Together" and "Young 'til I Die". I most definatly sang along for those two. Very good. Actually the reason they covered 7 seconds was because it was Eric Yanke's "punk rock 20th anniversary"..says the flyer. and the first show she went to was, non-other than, 7 seconds. I was really excited for
the Observers to play and since they hadnt played a home show in awhile i knew it was going to be nuts. Indeed, it was nuts. They played stuff from the new 7inch as well as stuff from the cd, and a couple covers. They played "Us Against the World" which is always a crowd pleaser even though it isnt officially an Observers song but a cover of thier old band The Speds. They also covered the Zero Boys "Civilization's Dying", which was so rad my face exploded a little bit. Despite being cramped as hell, smashed, kicked in the face, glasses knocked off a few times, and smelly, it was a really good show and worth the 3 bucks. I attempted to take a few pictures but, my camera likes to pretend to focus and then...not. so all the pictures are blury and my lense had sweat on it so all the pictures came out
pretty horrible. Anyways besides that it was really fun. That is all.
6/18:: X-Distro...
So after seeing
Batman Begins, which by the way was a very awesome movie, I give it my infamous "Craig Guarantee". Anyways, after the movie, Eric, Mike, and myself were talking about music and rare tapes and vinyl. Places especially like Everyday Music carry bootleg tapes that people make semi-officially and then sell. I've also seen a large amount of online tape, cd, movie, and vinyl distro companys that are pretty DIY. So I decided, hey i can do it myself too!...so i did. I set up a pay pal account and website, im going to set up a PO BOX, and sell all my rare recordings and tapes for muy denero. We will see if 1. this works out 2. anyone buys anything. Considering the amount of rare, live, and bootleg recordings I have, as well as old live performances that are really hard to find of pretty obscure bands, i hope to be a millionaire in a few weeks. That's being pessimistic though, more like a billionaire but whatever, a few or more zeros wont matter when im swimming in dough. Here is the first tape I made, not rare, but the first the my inventory..
The domain name has yet to be bought or named but I do have a shell website set up. something along the lines of X-DISTRO, or something. i need something more shnazzy. I'll work on it.
6/15:: Beach Trip...
Don't get me wrong, summer has been pretty freaking sweet thus far but today was so rad that on a scale from 1 to 10 it rates a super fucking sweet. Thats right, it totally surpasses the number system. Anyways, here is a quick recap starting in the morning. I had set my alarm clock for 5:45 the night before but I was awaken by the sound of my cell phone, I turn look over, and it's 7 o'clock. Amy woke me up just in the knick of time, I got up and got ready as fast as possible because i didn't want to keep everyone waiting. I got to Amy's house to find none other than Amy, Sacha, Laurel, Holland, Rachel, Ken, Chris, and Matt hanging out. After Chris woofed down a bowl of persumably delicious cereal we headed out to Seaside. I've never been to Seaside beach but everyone insisted that it was radical. After about an hour and a half of driving we pulled up to the beach, parked, and mosied on over to the sand. The weather was pretty choice AKA sunny OR hot like africa. Due to my red hair i burned like a fire...left in the sun...without suntan protection. We went to the arcade where i blew 2 dollars and 3 quarters exactly. The hightlight of this experience was winning one...measly, single totsie roll. Utter disappointment. We went to the beach and realized there were volleyball nets, despite having a volleyball someone had the brilliant idea to invent a hybrid of volleyball and frisbee. After carefully choicing teams, team names, as well as intimidating team chants, we played. Team Labia, which was me and chris, VS. Team Awesome Sex, which was Matt and Ken. It was an extremely rad game, despite me sucking at frisbee and sports in general. I'm not sure who won OVERALL but i can say "WHERE DA LABIA!?"...thats right team awesome sex....eat it. We went to eat burgers and salads and soups and drinks, as well as fries, later in the day uhmm. Went back to the beach and played a little volleyball, i'm pretty sure holland bought a volleyball. But those teams were also amazing. Holland, Sacha, Amy,and Matt VS Chris, Ken, and myself. Needless to say....team us won against team them. After making massive penis-looking sand structures we headed home but not before a really wierd event occured. While laying on the beach, loungin' and relaxin' some randome lady comes up and pats/rubs Ken's stomach and friendly..ly said "Who are Ya!?" in a way that hinted at actually knowing him...a towel was over his face so she didn't actually know who he was. I turned an asked..."uhh who are you?", thinking at least Ken knew her. Nah, just some wierd cracked out bitch who wanted to pet Ken. It was cool though. We stopped at Tacobell on the way home and I bought a MegaJug aka 1/2 gallon of dr. pepper MINUS ice, thank you very much. I finished it on the ride home and had to pee like mad. Actually after i finished drinking the devine juice we named the empty cup Bruce. He looked like a Bruce. On the way home Laurel honked at every car she saw, just to make sure that they saw her in the car, we got thanked many times for our curtious actions. We got back to jesuit, where all the cars were parked, and I urinated all over due to the half gallon drink. At this time, matt deemed it necessary to urinate on my new found companion Bruce. I had to depart with bruce because that thought of carrying and snuggling with a empty bucket can filled with matt-urine didnt sound too appealing, sorry bruce you will be missed. Matt, Chris, Ken, Amy, and David came over to my house for a solem celebration/farwell occassion. We went over to a school by my house and set my oldest companion ablaze. Yes, that is right friends, my chucks have gone to a better place. FYI, i have had the same pair of converse all-stars all four years of highschool, through the good and the bad, thick and thin. I loved those shoes, but hey, we graduated, it's time to turn over a new leaf, broaden my horizons, and wear my new chuck taylors. I actually was forced to get them by my mom last year, which i am glad because now i have a pair that isn't made my nike. grrr nike is dumb. So i can be legit and wear them still. Anyways to elaborate on my shoes, during the rainy season AKA everyother day in oregon, they would have a 2 minute grace period where i could walk in puddles, but after that 2 minutes, the flood gates where opened. I endured many days of having rain soaked socks in class at school and i enjoyed every second of it. But as i said before, times are changing, and i have to grow. Matt, Chris, David, Ken, Matt and Amy helped me light fireworks off in celebration...although now that i think of it, all the fireworks went off in my shoes. Anyways we lit those motherfuckers up and it was a grand ole time. People played soccer with my flaming shoes but after the soles started to burn a black smoke plumed into the air. Seeing this as a bad omen, we let them burn a little longer, stomped out the remaining bits of sole and drove away. Got back to my house and smoked a little hookah, played a little mario kart, and jumped on Bruce...my trampoline is also named bruce now. It was a grand day and you should probably check out the sweet pictures i stole from amy, i will have my own but i havent developed my disposable jesuit-provided camera yet.
Rest in peace Converse, I loved you and your memory will live on
6/14:: Operation Re.H.D.Wi.P: ...
Yes, thats right, Operation Re.H.D.Wi.P. Actually that was meant to stand for Operation Record Hunting Downtown With Padiac but the first letters alone didn't spell out anything army-lingo-ish, so i added a few to make Operation Red Whip, that was a pretty long explination for something that trivial eh? should i backspace and delete? Nahh, to lazy. Anyway's I woke up almost to early to consider this a summer day, nearly noon, but after pressing my snooze button I got up to go downtown to meet up with Padiac. Basically I noticed something pretty monumental today, everytime I ride the MAX it's either a hostile mob out to kill or a hippy love fest, never anything inbetween. I sat up front because I can put on my conductor's hat and pretend to drive. Or because it was the only seat left, but anyways, two men sat down behind me at around sunset transit. These two men were none other than the Ying-Yang Twins. Personally I've never seen or heard "the twins" but i've heard many impressions. These two white guys, with dew-rags to complete the get up, kept repeating "Heuhhhh!? A Whaaaat!?, Yeaaahyaa!". The lady to the side of me also found this annoying and tactfully turned around to say "SHUT THE FUCK UP", i laughed a little under my breath as i pretended to sleep so not to enter the conflict. They exchanged words and the twins continued to respond to the woman with Ying-Yang Twin responses...A Whaaat!? Yeaahyaa!. Luckily I got off the MAX before the lady killed these two. Met up with Padraic at the Square and went on an expedition. First we stopped at Everyday Music, then O-Zone UK, Jackpot, and 2nd Ave. Records. In Jackpot, Padriac picked up a map which supposedly had all the record stores listed with a map of their locations. We decided we would stop by one...the name was something like Platinum Records, or something dangerous. We walked in, saw a table of mixers, turn tables, and DJ-ing equipment, not clearly thinking we start to look around. After I look for a solid 10 minutues and see nothing but "Hardcore House Trance Beats", "Jungle Remix Sample Beats", "Techno Trance Jungle Beats", and mixes of all three, we realized this wasn't our kind of record shop, we hurried out of the story without saying a word. But anyways, i'll get to the point, i wrote this just to brag about the records I found, Ravi Shankar, Pink Floyd, Ventures, Vivisick, Observers, The System, and The Planet Smashers. All good, All cheap, All awesome. I've been looking for Vivisick "Punks were made before Sounds 7" " a while but finally found it, weeee. I think i decided to list all my records like i do with my other music, except my record list is pretty small, under 50 i'd say, BUT it will grow alot this summer becasue, like padraic suggested, im spending all the money i make from work on records. Speaking of work, i applied to fucking every store under the sun, and do i get a call back NO, why BECAUSE IM NOT QUALIFIED AND LAZY ... whatever jobs are for suckers....god i need a job. I'll put something up by vivisick even though i think i have in the passed, i used to update the music section alot, but im loosing intrest. job job job.
05/30:: VOID...
So, Memorial Day weekend, we meet again. Previously I anticipated this weekend because it marked the ending of the school year and more importantly, the begining of summer, but this time around I just feel aprehensive. Highschool is over in 3 days. College could potential start early this summer if i choose to take a semester course, but college is coming none the less. I have to get a job. I have to pay for college. Sooo basically im a grown-ass-man (i also am growing a beard in preparation...by beard, i mean five gross hairs..long-john-silver-eske. only a few select will remember good ole-long john haha) That fucking sucks. I like being irresponsible and spending my money on things i dont necessarly need. Lame. Well I'm taking a break tonight, even though I have tommorow off from school. Last night was a long and taxing. Again, jacob sorry for the car, and thanks to everyone who helped me out. I'll leave it at that. Anyways, I'm sitting in my room with nothing t o do so im g oing to finish up the below post. Err..yeah probably, then ill start on stories from yesterday...or try. F.Y.I. listening to the Dandy Warhols and a game of online Mah Johngg are really good for typing out memories from goodtimes.
05/24:: WEEKENDS...
Bless me website, it has been 1 month since my last update. Although I continuously vow to buy a camera, take pictures, update regularly, and provide interesting posts, I always seem to fail. Most frequently I update in regaurds to concerts and other such antics but even those have been lacking discription lately. Hmmmm, what to do, what to do. I'm not sure where to start so I'll just dive in, it has been a interesting month to say the least. Actually, backspace that last line, it all started around the same time as the infamous
beach trip.
[Warning] :: The flowing is a ficticious story written for personal enjoyment, none of which is true or having any basis in reality.
beach...
(Note: for privacy purposes the names are changed..hilariously changed)
Justin Hale, Enid Adrink, Phil Maglassop, Mal Twiskie, and I decided on taking a spontaneous trip to Lincoln City beach for some fun weekend shenanigans. We all pile into
Enid's car and prepare ourselves for a jam-packed weekend of beach-goodness (it actually ended up lasting a little less than 24 hours but whose keeping track?) The 2 hour car ride consisted of stopping for shally (snacks), stopping to pee, stopping for the essentials (alcohol and cigarettes), and having a pre-beach interview which was recorded by
Mal but im unsure of what ended up happening to the final interviews. Anyways upon finally arriving at our destination, my grandparents sweet beach house which noone uses, we proceded to do a post-trip recap of our
survival gear as well as indulge in a moderate amount of alcohol, then we were off to dinner at McMinimum's. It was pretty hilarious trying to control
Mal who repeatedl y got up from his seat only to go to the bar and hang from a counter-railing, questioning what it was
really for. Also, from what i remember the food was exquisite to say the least. After sampling the fine cuisine which Lincoln City has to offer we headed back to the beach house, but not before a stop at Safeway. Stumbling around Safeway was pretty fun,
Enid's hands were freezing so he needed a pair of gloves, obviously. We asked an attendent, who seemed to be around our age, if he knew where we could find some gloves. He pointed us the presumably right direction. After making the mile-long trek through Safeway we came to the isle with gloves ... gardening gloves, not nice wool gloves, but plastic tough working and gardening gloves.
Enid bought them anyways. We made our way home and at this time
Phil, who drove separately, was close to arriving and since I didn't know the exact street names which wind away from the main road, we had to meet him somewhere.
Mal and I walked Safeway, yet again, but this time I pushed
Mal in a shopping cart. We jump in
Phil's car and direct him to the beach house. To be honest the rest of the night involved a lot of drinking, pot, cigarettes, and stumbling. The whole gang fell alseep relatively early, but
Mal and I walked to the beach a few times, only going back go refill drinks. On our final excursion out of the house we came across a wise old man. Being in his late 20's / early 30's, and drunkenly stumbling to the beach like us highschool kids, had much wisdom to offer us. After small talk about school, women, he hit
Mal with the single most important peice of advice I have heard to date. "Whatever you do, DO NOT marry a bitch." Arriving at the beach, nearly two whole blocks away from the house, we sat down next to a log and watched the crew of drunk adults contemplate building a fire, but realizing it was windy and much harder than it seemed they gave up and walked home, defeatedly. We sat on the beach discussing the meaning of life, religion, philosophy, materialism, and the current state of affairs. By We, I mean Me, and by discuss, i mean mummble and complain. We stumble home at around 6AM and retire to bed. Everyone else has been sleeping for close to 3 hours. I'm going to say that around noon, I woke up to begin cleaning up the messes we made the previous night.
Phil had already left because he had to work earlier in the morning. Actually he woke up 15 minutes before his shift began but considering he was nearly 2 hours from his place of employment he had to call in, stating that his grandfather had died and he was in mourning, but not to worry because he would be done within the hour and be in for work. haha. We finished cleaning and made the long journey home but not before stoping at shari's for some sweet sweet breakfast. I got home and slept the rest of the day away.
For space sake that was just a breif synopsis of the beach trip. This was just the begining of this seemingly endless string of weekend experiences. And in actuality know that I think about it, this was more in the range of few months rather than just one single month. Now on to my experimentation with pyschoactive drugs. First off, again, for respect for privacy the sames have been changed. The same crew as described in the above anctedote,
Justine, Mal, Enid, Phil, and I.
savlia divinorum...
I had been curious about the effects of a legal psychedelic drug, Salvia Divinorum, for quite sometime before getting a chance to experience it.
Enid and myself spent a long time doing research and reading up on the Mexican herb and its effects. It seemed safe and being comfortable with the group of people I would be with I decided to go for it. Being legal, it was not hard to aquire but personally i was aprehensive of my discission to go through with trying salvia. I can't speak for anyone else but my experience with salvia was disappointing. After reading accounts of shamanistic experiences as well as expecting and mentally preparing for one myself, I was extremely let down in that aspect. Overall it was a good experience and fun stories. Nothing to extreme happened to me except for drastic perception changes. Mind you, I experiemented soley for the experience and to gain some sort of understanding, not to get "fucked up". After realizing what i was experiencing was not what i necessarly hoped for, I slowly rolled back and looked up at
Enid's ceiling. Upon doing this I noticed that he had ant figurines placed around his room. This was, at first, frightening but then just hilarious. Pictures seemed to be sunken into the wall rather than pertruding from them, as well as light sources and shadows differing greatly from my normal perception of them. After everyone had sampled salvia, talked and enjoyed/didnt enjoy the experience, I grew bored. I decided to stand up and go on an adventure. I opened
Enid's door and looked down at an oriental rug in his hall way. It seemed to be morphing and twisting into something that resembled lady bugs. Knowing I was under the influence of salvia I thought it was "neat-o" to say the least, but by no means exciting. I laid down in the hall and looked up at the high cielings and notice the various other sharp corners, cuts, parallel and perpindicular shapes which the arcetecture of his house had from this certain perspective. Explaining it, now it seems to la ck luster but if you could see it, you would know what im trying to explain. After admiring this for a few minutes
Enid appeared from out of the door and stood. Since I was still sitting I propped my head back and looked at him. In combonation with me laying down, him standing, the light, and odd curvatures of his cieling, I found myself questioning my eyes. "Was I standing upright? Was he the one laying down?" The easiest way to describe is by relating it to
Escher's "Relativity" painting.
Phil, Justin, and Mal left because they had previous engagements but
Enid and I retreated to his back deck for a little while. Smoking cigarettes seemed to ampify the effects of salvia to say the least. After smoking a ridiculous amount of cigarettes with
Enid and "getting our conversation on", we decided to explore the house one last time to compare our pre-salvia perception, salvia perception, and post-salvia perception. Looking b ack at the surroundings we came to the conclusion that we had seen everything in a gray-ish tint or black and white. After that we decided to call it a night. I went home to sleep and think while
Enid met up with the rest of the crew which had departed earlier in the evening.
Using Salvia Divinorum as a starting off point, a few weeks later, and after much aprehension and searching,
Enid,
Justin, and myself had gotten ahold of some mushrooms....
shrooms...
Magic Mushrooms, one of the most memorable experiences of my high school career. Sad? Probably but im not ashamed, it was worth every second.
Enid,
Justin, and myself had been intent on having this experience for a few months and by this saturday morning the excitement was hard to contain. The previous week was the target date but some things fell through and the plan had to be scraped. Despite being some-what heartbroken at this, it just made the apprehension even more unbarable. Then the day finally rolled around. Saturday. I got up early to meet everyone at the park. Running the risk of sounding nerdy, I packed the night before. Just the esentials though, a nice sleeping bag, a note pad and pencil, cigarettes, pot, jim beam, and my sweatshirt. About as soon as my alarm rang, i was in my car and out the door. When I pulled up to the park I found Eric and David playing dice on the park benches while the rest of the crew watched in dismay as Eric lost 15 dollars on one roll.
Enid and
Justin looked disappointed so for that reason i was afraid to ask why but I found myself asking anyways. Turns out that getting ahold of shrooms during this time of year would be tough and might not happen again. Everyone called friends, friends of friends, friends of friends of friends, and finally things started to make a turn for the better.
Justin left to pick them up. A few of us were pretty hungry and decided to make a food run. Personally i was some what fasting because it was recommended it almost every experience report i came across, but we decided to journey over to fred myers and get some fresh fruits. For the record i ate the best granny smith apples ever and grapefruit juice. Although it probably could have been better if i drank it out of a bag like baby nate had choosen to do. Anyways, we all journeyed back to the park to sit in the shade and talk / play dice. Soon after
Justin and others pull up and meet us at the bench. Turns out they had picked up the shrooms as well as a little something extra. I didn't metion it earlier but this weekend was "Free Frosty Weekend" at Wendy's so we drove there and then to an undisclosed location (an awesome persons house ;) ) where that above stated "little something extra" was being combined with brownie mix to create the most delicious moist desert treats ever. The baked smell of marijuana was overwhelming in the house so I retreated outside to smoke hookah. After a couple hours a good amount of people had showed up and the fun began. When it was time to stop smoking hookah i went to put out the coal and dropped it on someone's blanket. It quickly burned a hole but rather than kick it off the blanket, i decided it be better to stomp it into the blanket. Oops. Everyone piled into the bed room and sat around as baby nate told one of his infamous stories. After hanging out with mary jane after listening to baby nate's story it was time to hit the road and prepare for the trip.
Justin, Enid and I drove to the 24 hour starbucks / fred meyers to pick up some essential energy drinks and
Enid got coffee, we met up with
Phil. We all drove back to
Enid's house and prepared for our long night.
Phil was sitting us to make sure everything stayed under control. We put on
Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas and split the shrooms 3 ways. We all ate the hay-tasting mushrooms and sat back and waited. I had seen Fear and Loathing close to a million times, give or take, so I was just enjoying myself for about 45 minutes until something began to happen, not to me but to
Enid. He had been getting sketchy about the whole thing and his mom calling or coming to check on him so that fueled the tension with everyone but his mom called, he talked to her, and all was good. But soon after I saw him out of the corner of my eye, squirming and moving. I glanced over and he was waving his arms up and down. This awkwardness didnt phase me at all, but when
Enid got but mere inches away from my face and stared, i got a little wierded out. I turned to meet him almost nose to nose. He opened his mouth and out came, "You gangly mother fucker. Move, stop sitting like that, You gangly mother fucker!" At this point i was feeling normal, no effects what-so-ever, but i dont think
Enid could say the same. Everyone had turned thier cellphones off to minimize interuptions from the outside world, everyone but
Enid. One of his friends called and informed him that he was coming over. Unannounced to us, a kid came knocking on the backdoor.
Enid went to answer it, but upon opening the door he burst out, "I can't handle this!", and slamed the door on his confused friend. After a few minutes of pounding on the door, his friend went away.
Enid later told us that when he said he couldn't handle it, he was serious, his friends face was warping and melting into something which resembled a clown. I can't blame him either, I would have slammed the door just as fast. After the whole "friend fiasco", I was begining to get a little anxious because the effects of shroom's had obvioulsy took hold of my friends, yet i was left in a normal state of mind. I sat enjoying
Phil's guitar playing and his dancing flower companion. This might need some explaining, we found a flower toy upstairs in the house and when turned on, all sounds would cause it to undulate and dance. It was extremely awesome to have it set up next to the guitar amp and watch that little flower dance the night away. So as I sat in anticipation
Phil, the seasoned vet and sitter, informed me that it was probably not my night and it doesn't effect some people as strongly as others, body chemistry being different and what not. So since he was recovering from a cold, I told him he could go home and I would take on the task of being sitter. He left. I found it necessary to go outside and get some fresh air since we had been inside just about all night. We got everything together and headed out to the park where we had told baby nate, tyler, mike, and others we would meet them for a midnight park party. We walked down the street in the pouring rain, smoking cigarettes, and talked. I enjoyed listening and talking to my shroomed-out buddies and it proved to be interesting.
Justin and Enid insisted that they were looking down into a tunnel and the street seemed to go on infinitely into the blackish looking trees. I found this intriguing and grew jealous as we turned the corner into the park paths. This is when all hell broke loose. We walked silently down a narrow dark path through an almost pitch dark forest which connected to the park. I felt something wierd. Earlier i thought i had felt the deck railings morph into a straight line and since they weren't i found this to be a little awkward but the rest of that hour seemed somewhat normal so i figured i was fine. But this was intense. This was the first point of the night i would watch the smoke from my cigarette morph and join into other objects around me. Every drag would leave the excess smoke to form into a tree. Seemed cool but nothing too abnormal i thought. Then i began to see machine like gears and turning flower pedals. That's the best i can describe it, as closed eye visuals of gears and flowers. As we exited the dark path and the moonlight became apparent again I felt normal. Almost revitalized because i knew I was going to have a long night ahead of me.
Enid and I fell back as
Justin took up the lead, he wandered over off the path and
Enid and I continued walking until I came to the bridge. I stopped and looked into the water. It was magnificant.
Enid, who loathed being alone, wandered back over to find
Justin. I got up, and walked down the path to find
Enid standing on the path, we walked back to his house not knowing where
Justin had wondered off too. We got to the house and found him huddled behind a bush. Later in the night, after reflecting on our expereinces he said that was the only point of the night where he was genuinely scared and maybe not even scared but just lonely and isolated. He didn't know where we had gone and when a car drove down the road he freaked and hid. So after reuniting, all 3 of us went on the back deck to smoke. Actually throught the night we ended up smoking about 2 and a half packs of cigarettes each. Yeah, shocked? me too. It felt better than breathing, no joke. We retreated back inside and
Justin and Enid went to the family room and i went to the bed room. I sat down, took out my sketch pad, pencil, and another cigarette, turned on Pink Floyd's "Dark Side of the Moon, which I had left in the cd player from a previous night, and drew. I never really looked at the paper, persay, but just let my hand go nuts on the paper. Throughout the night I always went back to my sketch pad to add on to my full page drawing.
Enid and Justin joined me in the bed room a few minutes later. We all laid on the bed and enjoyed the music. About this time
Enid thought it would be a good idea to bring out his strob e light. Very wierd sensation. I could feel the light more than see it. We turned that off and lay back down. My leg started to move and this made the whole bed vibrate, since we were all curled into a mass of bodys everyone could feel my shaking leg.
Justin asked what i was doing, and i responded with the first thing that came into my head. "I want to dance" So, we got up and danced. Half the time our eyes were closed and our balance wasn't something we could rely on so at one point I all-out head butted
Justin in the face. We both hit the ground grabbing our heads and rolling around in pain while at the same time laughing. We all jumped back into bed at this point, Enid and Justin seemed to notice that eachothers faces seemed to melt and distort, much like the earlier described friends face who morphed into a clown. So they were staring at eachother and talking, i felt this as my queue to leave and adventure on my own. So i got up, took my pad and pencil, and was on my way. I felt the sudden urge to urinate so i stopped at the bathroom where i pissed all over Enid's magazines and floor, basically everwhere but the toilet itself. So i exited the bathroom feeling somewhat prideful that i spited the toliet and foiled its plan to collect my urine when i came face to face with a huge bathroom mirror. I stood infront of it and stared. I'm unsure of how long i stared but it seemed like hours. I looked into the mirror and really started to think. I'm not going to get into specifics because the whole night involved alot of personal issues and reflection, but I hated what i saw. I was really angry with the mirror and the reflection i saw. I saw all the imperfections and all the negative things i had done in my life and the people i had wronged. No matter how hard i tried to break my stare I couldn't. I just became more and more enraged. I finally fell back and sat with my hands around my knees thinking. It was like i had broken a trance. I knew that i had to get out of that bathroom or i would again star t staring into the mirror. I ran into the computer room where music was playing and the iTunes visualizer was playing. I sat staring at this for awhile and then felt the urge to cry. So...giving into what i felt necessary, i cried. Boy did i cry, i cried like a little girl. I really can't specifically remember about what, but although it sounds negative, i enjoyed every second of it. I had felt the most euphoric emotions and the most negative but moments later, but i loved every second of it. In the middle of my crying / music listening, Enid and Justin entered the room and were put into a trance by the iTune visuals. I again knew we needed to leave the house. So, yet again, we headed off the the park. We all broke off into our seperate locations and I found myself at the same bridge. I kneeled awkardly on the railing and stared into the water. The smoke from my cigarette burned my eyes as it flowed up from my mouth. This pain acompanied by the pouring rain made me tear up again. I lay down on the bridge, n ot caring about the puddles and gallons of water pouring down on me, and thought some more, cried a little. But i came to alot of conclusions at this point. Personal issues seemed clear but other things seemed unresolved. I felt alot better but still unresolved. We all met up at a park bench up on
Pansy Hill and talked about what we had thought about and what we felt like. I just remember the trek up the hill and the grass seeming like it was about 3 feet tall when in reality it was mere inches at best. Another thing i remember talking about was the subconsious and collective subconsciousness. These two are definatly my favorite people to have deep conversations with so it insued from there as we sat in the pouring rain, early sunday morning around 5, tripping on shrooms. What a night. Considering we are all in the Swing Jump Crew, we felt it essential to embark on a journey to the upper park for some much needed swing jumping. We walked along the shadows which seemed to me to be trails. We made it to the swings and it was the most glorious time i have ever had. After seeing
Justin successfully pull of a backflip,
Enid and I felt it was safe to do a little swinging of our own. It felt like flying, but when we got to the highest point we were suddenly pulled back to earth, it was quite a bummer when you felt like you could potentially fly forever just to be pulled back to earth. I kept trying, I felt it was possible to break that barrier and keep going into the sky. We got tiered on account of it being so early so we sat down along the upper park mural and decided we needed to go to walk to plaid pantry for breakfast. Before we left to plaid pantry though, we had to go all the way back to
Enid's house for cigarettes since we were out again. We did and plopped down on the bed for awhile, smoked a bowl, and i went back to my drawing as
Enid and Justin laid down on the bed. I then remembered we were planning on going to plaid pantry! So i woke up everyone and we were off again. The walk seemed endless and just as soon as we began we wanted to go back home. Walking down Canyon Drive at 6 in the morning was somewhat of an adventure in itself because no one else was up yet. No cars passed us on the multi-mile hike so me and
Justin were feeling a little sleepy. No place better to take a nap than in the middle of a road, right? so we lay down and seconds after getting comfortable on the puddled street a car drives by, so naturally
Justin and I jump up from our napping possitions and keep on course to plaid pantry. On the way we came across a cardboard cut out of frostie the snowman, this perticularly annoyed me so i preceded to try and rip it down, but to no avail it only came off partly and we continued our trek. We made a pit stop at a friend's house and woke him up, then kept on walking. We finally got to plaid pantry and all i bought was a pack of german Mamba chew candies. As i walked out of the store all i could say was "I just broke a 20 dollar bill for fucking Mam bas??!" So we stumbled home in a sleepy daze, when we neared the park
Justin and I had the brilliant idea to just sleep at the park!
Enid convinced us this was a bad idea and kept us motivated for the rest of the trip home. We got to the house at around 7 and crash wherever we can find a place to sleep. I curled up on the ground and woke up with tumbleweeds made of dog hair in my mouth on more than one occasion but i was so tiered i didnt care. Mere hours later the horrid sound of the alarm clock woke me up. Everyone helped to clean up, we said our goodbyes, and drove home at around noon. For the rest of the day i slept. That night proved to be 7 hours of the most extreme polar examples of emotions, euphoric yet depressing and depressing yet euphoric, i watched the walls and posters in
Enid's room breath, i watched my smoke morph into the ceiling, I cried, I had deep conversation with my friends, I danced, I was called a gangly mother fucker. That was the most enjoyable 7 hours overall my 4 years of highschool, hands down.
i'm not sure if anyone has read this yet but im going to take a while on this story. Writing about this stuff seems to help me look at it in a different light, straighten things out, and ultimatly help me remeber in the future. It's personal and private but im pretty sure only 2 people at most ever read this, plus this is a long post, and I've also censored everything so if worst comes to worst everyone remains anonymous .... well.... everyone but me.
03/01:: ARPIL FOOLS...
Was most definatley fun. went to a house party with andy and jacob down off...someplace far away in celwood or something...macadam...far...anyways it was uber rad. saw some bands play...No Heroes, The GOP, Wolfgang Williams and the Punk Rock Faggots, Autistic Youth, APEshit to be honest i was pretty drunk and or stoned most the night. space bags...hell yeah shitty cheap ass sick fucking wine. squarepunx oi....?....haha... also partook in a little chickenfighting action (i was on kentons shoulders) VS andy on jacobs shoulders, then the bobsled occured...always radical. We were going to go to pats but i had to be home by 1 so i walked to the max from 6th and burnside. it sucked and then the max has a 10 minute layover cos they are sluts. uhmm then went home. freeway..thats right im an experienced driver bitch. andy and jacob coached me through the first time. haha okay im sleepy. later
01/17:: 1337...
i should be studying for finals but instead i decided to dick around online, anyways i found this really great email/file host at
www.streamload.com you can store up to 10gigs of music/files/movies whatever so you can access them from any computer you want, or you can download 100mb a month. the downloading thing isnt that impressive but its free so definatly cool. the storage thing is my favorite part though. okay thats it for now, back to studying for finals
01/08:: SHOW...
After spending my weekend finding god in camby, i went to a show at Liberty Hall, got there late and apperently missed some stuff but i picked up the bands cd, You're Fucking Fired. Im listening to the free cd as we speak and its definatly good. Next, not including the poems, was a band called Please Step Out Of the Vehicle they were good as well, sorry im not very descriptive im fucking tierd. Anyways despite the rockin riot-folk music next band to play was Riot Cop also good. Just got home...fuckin tierd, maybe ill post pictures later, andy took a bunch. fuck later...
01/04:: NEWS FLASH...
matt sucks phish rocks
12/12:: SHOW...
last night (dec 11) i went to davey jones locker with andy to go see some bands. im not sure exactly every band that played cos we got thier late and missed a few i think. anyways i caught the last song from No Hero's the one song i heard from them was good but ive seen them before i think and they are good from what i remember. Next the Diskords played and they are young...super young but musically they were pretty okay. next was the Clorox Girls I thought they were pretty good as well, and then Plan R played. Plan R was good too and i picked up thier new 7", it was 3 bucks has two songs on it ("My Friend is Dead", and "She's not from Chicago(but i am and i'm pissed)") it was worth the three bucks. overall the show was good especially for 3 bucks. but im looking forward to next saturdays show (Statch and the Rapes..hell yeah).
11/1:: SHOW ...
I have been MIA for awhile but ill recap quickly me chris and my brother went to the
SKA NOT DEAD TOUR at the solid state on Oct.16. ska shows are always a fucking blast for the record. it opened up with a little aucostic set by
Dan Potthast of MU330, fuckin rad if you ask me. there is a picture of the show from portland that me mitch and chris are in, ill post it at the bottom of this entry. Next was a local band called
The Ted Dancin' Machine, a great band with a suppah hot singer. she sang to my brother like 3 times, jealous.
Planet Smashers played next, i guess they are french or something, but the rocked the house. they made us all sit down then jump up or something, i cant remember cos it was so long ago but it was innnnteeense and sweet. everyone was dancin, it was sweaty, it rocked.
Mustard Plug played next and they were my favorite band that whole night, a circle formed and i ended up skankin with some really old 30 year old guy, it was a party. Next was
Catch 22, they were good if my memory serves me but i dont think they were as dancable as the rest. Anyways it fuckin ruled, bet your jelous you didnt go eh?...
(check the far right corner)
Also the Hughes Halloween party was saturday, that kicked ass, padiac and ryan fought and i filmed it, im sure pictures will surface of this event eventually.
9/14:: SHOW ...
The ban on the Roseland is now over, i know they are huge sluts but i couldnt pass up the circle jerks/GBH show. So this crazy band, The Mean Reds, play...they have keyboards and other various awesome effects. actually i was confused if they were good or not becasue the singer deepthroating the mic distracted me. but they had a song titled "penis flower" so how could they be anything less than extremely awesome? next was Red Tape, eh i didnt really like them, it was actually pretty boring. Next was G.B.H, what can i say about them besides that they are 40 and still own. they and the circle jerks switch off headlining everynight so this night they were supporters of the jerks so thier set was shorter but oh well it was still great. Next was the Circle Jerks, amazing / awesome / kicked infinite amounts of anus. they played about 80 sounds, actually i have no idea but they played alot. uhmm the show was good, i slipped on water and got landed on by 1 fat man 1 old man and basically broke in half, which was cool. the only shitty part was going to school the next day, i was so incrediabley tierd but oh well school is for fools...thats right, i said it...later slutz (pictures will be up shortly....psyche. haha)
8/13:: B-DAY ...
friday aug 13th was my birthday..ohhh friday the 13th creeeepy. uhmm actually my birthday kicked mounds and mounds of ass.the day before my birthday i was suprised by amy and jacob, they came baring a gift...wendys. my favorite food ever, so that present kicked ass. on my birthday me and jacob met lauren erin and alex and drove down to a show at Davey Jones Locker together, that place is a shithole but oh so cool. ska shows are definatly awesome for the record. Nothing Wasted played first, they were good but nobody was thier yet so it wasnt as good as it could have been, the lead singer and jacob danced, that was pretty hilarious. then we all went and got monster otter pops which, because they were only 50cents, kicked ass. then The Ted Dancin' Machine played but they were missing a memeber i think but they were still good, plus they gave out free pins and i am not opposed to free things. Suburban Legends who ive seen 6 times, this was my 7th, played. they have coreographed(sp?)dance mov es and other dancey antics. they rock the house in my opinion. MU330 played the last spot and they were really good too but by that time i was sweating and almost passing out from skankin the night away haha i think me jacob and lauren danced most of the show but it was cool and afterward i got my second gift..a slurpee from lauren, im a big fan of slurpees so that kicked ass. then we went to my house and my dad gave me a card with 100$$$$ in it. totally kicked ass cos i am also not opposed to money. uh me jacob and lauren hung out until like 130 then lauren left and got lost / jacob stayed the night / we got freaky... psyche! so when i woke up the next day it kicked ass cos all three of my birthday gifts were on my desk. a bag from wendys, a empty slurpee, and a 100 dollar bill. if thats not class i dont know what is. that was my birthday and it kicked infinite amounts of ass. -fin
8/7:: SHOW ...
went to a show at the paris theater with andy, it was eh, alright meh. eric jacob chris were thier too. Autistic Youth were the first to play, they are all kids from southridge highschool i think, they were good. next Complete Control played...normal cookie-cutter punkcore band but still alright. then Clit 45 played, one of my favorite bands, but they played a really really short set so i was disappointed. then the headliner, "The Virus" played. if your wondering why the virus is in quotes its because they have no original members and would be better off chaning the name to "a band formally known as the virus". i dont really like the singer cos he sounds too whiney and not enough yelly. but whatever, that was the show...nothing special. on a different note, harold and kumar go to white castle is a hilarious movie.
7/18:: SHOW / MOVIE ...
andy and me went to the Escaped CD release show on friday at the paris. the show opened up with The Ghouls, they were pretty good but the singer sounded like AFI (who suck for the record) and the music had the unseen/east coast street punk sound. next up was One Day War, i liked this local band, they had two singers (lady and guy). the 3rd of the 5 bands was Plan R headed by colin of the observers, this was my first time seeing them live, and they were definatly entertaining with the bobsledding race, colin singing to people who didnt know the lyrics and making them feel awkward, and wrapping a group of 4 girls up with the mic cord. Up next was Wednesday Night Heros from Canada, ive seen them a couple times before and they are always a good show, entergetic and they instigated a chicken fight in the pit, which also was cool. FINALLY The Escaped hit the stage, it was thier cd release show so they played some new songs and some old songs, they are a 5 piece band (2 singers, 1 guitar, 1 bass, 1 drum) opposed to the old 6 piece band (2 singers, 2 guitar, 1 bass, 1 drum) its kind of a bummer since the lead guitar left theres no more signature escaped guitar solos which ill miss but oh well they still ruled, uhmm what else happened... on the max ride home some guy talked to me and andy about music then later him (being a cook in training at some culinary institue) and a cheif (sitting across from us) got in a fight about his school and stuff it was cool and funny. we got to andys house late and i feel asleep and my parents didnt know where i was, they got pissed and grounded me next weekend, oh well it was worth it. the next day was my brothers birthday and we saw I,ROBOT, defenitaly a good movie, this goes without saying considering the star of the movie is WILL SMITH and ROBOTS. im learning how to use CSS and other new things i can use in making my site better so ill be changing stuff around, i do this to keep busy when im bored, also im gonna put 1 song up from every one of th e bands mentioned here (except Plan R, i cant find any of thier stuff) so check back for that soon. bye for now sluts
7/5 :: L.A.M.E :: ...
so i started doing my 65hours of service and its really awesome so far, its fun and it makes me get up early which sucks but at the same time is good. anyways the point is, i walk passed the roseland everyday on the way too and from sisters of the road cafe and i happen to see a flyer for MC5, the show i bitched about being 21 and over a couple posts ago, well on this flyer it said ALL AGES, mind you this flyer was posted on the INSIDE of the roseland, facing out the window for all to see. so me and andy go to safeway and buy two tickets...these tickets say 21 and over on them (no refunds...bitchs) and so we figure the flyer at the VENUE would be right over the stupid tickets. well we get to the roseland and go through the metal detecters and what not...yeah everyone was walking into the bar and getting ID's checked. the flyer AT the roseland lied, it was AT the venue...they cant do that, well they did (whores) and we had to sell our tickets for 15 bucks to some guy and his lady. so we ended up being lied to by the venue and then losing 7 dollars and not being able to see mc5. LAME? yes uberLAME. fuck the roseland, dont go there ever, i am boycotting the dumb place. in other news, 4th of july rocked and blowing stuff up also rocked. as you can see the site is under MAJOR construction, new layout, and most the buttons are missing / arent buttons yet. im working on the mp3 / radio now and it may be up soon but i am pretty lazy and loosing intrest....so meh later

NO WAY! youre right, this was my initial reaction but then i look and see the deceptive and EVIL 21+ looming underneath the sweet sweet MC5. i began to weep.... weep.... i am still weeping... this has already stopped me from seeing blondie....whats next? ill TELL YOU...a 21+ sign below every good venue, thats what. the paris (althought not great due to high prices) is going 21 and over eventually too. what is this crap? i gotta get back to crying...im not emo, my crying is justified, its over MC FREAKIN 5....(weep weep cry cry)
5/8 :: SHOW :: ...
i haven't updated shit in awhile, so i decided to fianlly do it. alot of crap went down in the past month, i finished my junior paper (crappily), went on my encounter, and thats about it...it seemed more eventful...oh well. TODAY andy and i went to a show at the solid state @3pm (early show iiiii know) anyways it was pretty good probably worth the 6bucks. first we went to el grillo, of course. then we walked/bused it to solid state. thier was about 5 people thier, it was a small turn out but still good. a band called Dilemma opened and they were pretty good. next was a neu-metal band called Ill-Omen....i dont need to say that they were bad considering i started by saying they were a neu-metal band. so we left and went to plaid pantry... i got some soda, squirt. Andy told me that that squirt has to be the worst name for a soda, but i thought "hot load" would be an even worse name. anyways me and andy are mass producing a new drink called hot load, keep an eye out at your local convenience store. we got bac k and Wednesday Night Hero's played, a canadian punk band, i know im pretty rough on the canadian's but these guys are good. after that the Escaped played, super good as always. there were two strippers from union jacks that showed up for the escaped in really awesome clothes / lack of. totally not complaining it was awesome. so yeah it was a good show and im tierd. im gonna sleep. ill update the song later. no new pictArs sorry.
4/3 :: UPDATE :: ...
NEW PICTURES, new song, new layout, its madness i know. me and andy were talkin, and he had a good idea..get a mini digital camera and take it to shows to take pictures...its a good idea so im gonna do it from now on, check out the pictures and sign my guestbook...enjoee
4/3 :: SHOW :: ...
last night on april 2 i went to my first show at the new MEOW MEOW (old b-complex which ive been to but it wasnt the meow meow...get it? whateva) anways it was the ADOLESCENTS show and it was one of the best shows that ive been to. it started out with the OBSERVERS playing, they were good but ive seen better observer shows and that was also the first night you could buy thier 7in, "Lead Pill", which ive been looking forward to getting. Next up was a band called DEK...the were probably about 6 1/2 years old..hah not really but they sucked balls i did not like them, not that they werent good musicians..they played fast and they played alright but they were so tiny i could squash them with my thumb plus thier songs were dumb. they are from orange county [EDIT: those assholes are from Washington, but thier DVD says Orange County...way to be misleading] and they threw out free shit and i grabed one of the dvds...cos hey no matter how shitty they are you CANT turn down free shit. but anways they sucked a nd this all happend so fast it was probably only 9:30ish? when they finished and the show only started at 8. i was so fucking excited for the adolescents. but they said they wouldnt hit the stage until 10 so me andy and some of his friends who were cool, went to plaid pantry / tacobell express. we came back and some drunk guy who i see at all the shows is like MAN WHEN WE GET IN THIER...CIRCLE PIT MAN....FUCKIN BEST CIRCLE PIT OF OUR LIVES....CIRLCE PIT....YEAhhh...circle pit. this man was a profit i swear. the ADOLESCENTS hit the stage...so good SO GOOD. everyones going crazy, the pits going awesome, people are getting hurt, the guitars are going crazy, the bassist is skinny and fat at the same time, the drummers going crazy...it was madness, i paint a beautiful picture dont i? well i almost bit my tounge off, i ripped my arm up pretty good, my spine is broken yet again but this was so awesome and worth it. except one bad thing, ill get to that later. so it turns out the lead singer;s son was playing on g uitar for the band, first night ever, just becasue he could, he was good but thier was the other guitarist too so they were both insane. i dont remember who was lead or rhythm but who cares they were good, the bassist looked skinny from the mid chest up...but where his bass rested he was a fat man,it was wierd...kind of like a pear... anways they were so good! and now to the bad part...the massive amount of fucking girls. no offense to the sweet ladys because most of them were totaly fuckin cool but thier was this one group of chicks who thought crowd surfing was cool...and punk as fuck at the same time... so we better do it every five seconds. I MEAN COME ONE! i know people share this philosopy with me (chris chris chris chirs and im sure others) but fat chicks (pardon me but woof) should not crowd surf its common curtosy. just like the 230lbs skinheads dont crowd surf, you fat ladys should be banned from crowd surfing because you break my neck. and dont do it so much! come on come fucking on! even some n o-large chicks, do it to much and ill have to hate you...im sorry but i warned you. you can tell who these girls are because they slowly lay on the top of the crowd and then get pissed if thier dress comes up or if someone "accidently" grabs a handfull of boobs. seriously i hate you, almost as much as macguyver hates guns. (MY HATE IS INTENSE..I KNOW). after the show we walked over the burnside bridge and caught the max home (andys house) woke up at noon and hung out for a while and went home. i got grounded for going to the show last night (long story) but i cant do shit until my junior paper is finished (three weeks i think?) anways that blows but whatever the concert was so fucking sweet it is worth the grounding.
3/27 :: Best Movie Ever :: ...
Saw "Dawn of the Dead" tonight, hands down the best movie in the world. if youve seen it and dont like it you can die and become a zombie but before you die come over to my house and let me stomp on your balls because it is by far the sweetest thing ever. i wont give anything away but if you dont believe me go to
MADDOX'S REVIEW and read his break down of the movie and reasons for its undoubtable sweetness. (there are kinda some spoilers in that link but not really he just tells you about the super sweet zombie kicking ass scenes) sweet jesus go see this movie and if you do tell me so i can go with you because i will see this movie as many more times as humanly possible. oh yeah and i have a new layout and some new pictures ill upload that shit later..go see the movie now
3/6 :: ..Heh WOW :: ...
haha i...wow...so last night (march 5) i got punched in the face, bloody lip, arm got ripped to shit and bled all over, and i think i broke my spine in at least 3 different places..but you know what? it was DEFINATLY worth it! i sacraficed my body for the SUBHUMANS at the Crystal Ballroom haha. it was SUPER packed, and the crystal is freakin huge too, but wow...haha okay let me gather my thoughts at start the story from the begining. So first band hits the stage, OBSERVERS, always a good time when the observers play. they played some new stuff and some way older stuff but one thing they didnt play was "us against the world (squirels)" so that was kind of a bummer but it still rocked. then the next band was a crustier band or at least sounded like they had some crust influence, from portland called From Ashes Rise, actually all thier songs reminded me of something you can make on punk-o-matic so they weren't great but they weren't crappy but the sound was kind of bad so im gonna get thier cd and see if they a re any better, thats the part of the show where i got punched in the face, so that was cool...not, because i had to taste blood for the rest of the show which made me kind of sick to my stomache but whateva, next up was the fest...the fecies....errrummmm....the FRISK. i think... anyways they werent terrible unti they started trying to get political. nothing against political bands but when your throwing out PUNKVOTER.COM stickers at the same time i cant take you seriously. so yeah nothing to say about them, nothing to special. FINALY the SUBHUMANS came out on stage. the crystal didnt seem too full but then when the subhumans got on stage i think the crowd probably trippled because you couldnt move at all. the whole ballroom was packed, but it was so sweet. the best part is that i still smell bad from the concert, so you know it was THAT good. the Subhumans were great they played alot of tracks off the live cd, live in a dive but they also threw in some other ones which i thought was total sweet. they came ou t for an encore but i was so fucking tierd by that time that i just stood on the side wall. after that me and andy and his friends that i just met, who were total cool, went to andys friend kentons house and saw a movie and i fell asleep on his sisters bed i think, and i woke up and i couldnt move my right arm i slept on it backwards and bent behind me haha so that was cool. Then the next day went back to andys and hung out which is always a good time. went home took a nap then went to the play at jesuit for the second time...lauren rocked the house yet again whoohoo, just got back from that and decided to update and add a new song, im thinkin blatz or riot/clone not sure yet. annnnywho this weekend has had a weird vibe about it so i think something bads gonna happen tommorow haha. if something does ill tell you but until then bye laydays.
2/16 :: LOCAL SHOW / ROCKED :: ...
wow, so a couple days ago (feb 13) the observers, controvert, and failed resistance played at the loft in willsonvile. it was a good time. me randy and andy met peter alex and chris down at some barn in the middle of nowhere. chris and alex got there early and called me asking if they were in the right place because it was a couple miles down a 1 lane road and then came to a dead end infront of a creepy looking barn. Well, ive never been to the loft so it turned out it was exactly that...a loft in the upstairs of a barn...in the middle of nowhere. Controver opened up, wilsonvile punx haha, they said one of thier guitarists wasnt able to attend but they still rocked the loft filled with about 40 people and about 3 gothic kids who dont count as real people. Anyways next was Failed Resistance (err i think..fatal resistance..hmm nope it was definatly Failed Resistance) they were pretty good, Chicago Hardcore. They didnt have enough money for gas...so they passed a hat around to raise money...yeah they werent th at good...haha im heartless i know. After this Chris Alex and Peter left unfortunatly because the OBSERVERS were getting ready to play. and man, did they rule. They played some new songs of an upcoming Ep and some old songs, and some old songs that got changed to be cool. Instead of "Us Against the World" they played "Us Against the Squirels" but yeah it was pretty cool, and really fun especially because it was free...cant be a free concert. i got my braces off today i dont really care cos they didnt bother me and it doesnt look any different meh shemeh. OH YEAH, i promise new pictures sometime soon....maybe....or not....
1/25 :: SWEET BABY JESUS / CD REVIEW :: ...
honestly, i think im a better person now that i listened to the
SUBHUMANS "LIVE IN A DIVE" CD. Seriously, it is so goddamn good i can't describe. i mean the SUBHUMANS are normaly great but this live cd is fast and 26 tracks of awesomeness. The CD gets released Feb. 10 2004, but im super awesome and got it early...wow, so good. ill put a track or two up on the MP3 page as the week goes on, eh i bet you can get in even more shit for having pre-released copyrighted music on a website opposed to just normal copyrighted music. oh well its so good im willing to take this risk. eat my balls RIAA. ALSO this cd gets me ULTRA-pumped for the MARCH 5th Subhumans show. sweet jesus. request a track of the cd in my shoutbox if you have one...

1/9 :: COOL :: ...
i just checked my counter, its like 3:30AM and it broke 1000 hits, yay. it restarted after i reconstructed the site so thats pretty cool it already hit 1000.
1/8 :: UPDATE ::...
We've had so many snow days and i've been bored so i decided to redo the site, yet again, this time it is quite half-assed hah. so yeah it looks like shit and you can read some stuff cos the background is white but ill change it blah blah i just wanted to see what the new links and header would look like. im tired and bored of this so ill work on it later. i dont think anyone comes here anymore i need new pictures.
12/31 :: NEW YEARS EVE ::...
This has nothing to do with the new year, who cares anyways I still write 2002 on all my homework assignments. But ILL ME DAMNED... i used to listen to chumbawumba in 6th grade and yeah they sucked huge balls but i knew they used to be a UK Peace Punk Band but i was just listening to MRRRadio today and they used to be actually pretty good....wierd. (PS , they still suck though) (PSS happy new years i guess hah)
12/23 :: IMPORTANT ::...
actually its the 24th but its 1:55am but who gives a shit. Annnnnyways its late and i cant sleep so i had to watch conan, it was good, BUT afterwards i see "late night with carson daly" flashing on my tv. fuck carson. seriously, who likes carson daly? nobody thats who. all his guests eat ass and he isnt funny, NBC would be alot better off just looping conan doing his string dance for an hour. i bet they would get better ratings too, just my idea though. fuckin carson, hope he chokes on a dick. X-MAS in a day...fuck yeah thats going to rule.
12/19 :: SHOW REVIEW ::...
last night (dec. 18) was the DEFIANCE 10th ANNIVERSARY show. me and andy went down on the max and froze our balls off for awhile outside the paris, the doors opened at 8 or so, dont really remember. ALL OUT was the first band to play, ive seen them a few times and they were pretty good. the guitarist has the most painful sounding voice ever, when he talks it makes my throat hurt. Next were the OBSERVERS (actually maybe the observers played first? i dont remember but fuck it) anyways i saw them play when they were the SPEDS, and they were good then, but great tonight, very good. then STRAIGHT JACKET played, i was too cold by this time and dont remember what was going on, so i dont remember if they were good or not. but i remember them sounding like a pop-punk band with girlish vocals...but maybe not im not sure, oh well enough said. the crowd was real small, about 4 rows of people...pit...and then a ring of people and thats it. DEFIANCE came out, it was the 10th anniversary and stuff but they didnt seem to en tergetic or excited. matt defiance (who looks a hell of alot like mark from blink182..what a fuck) said we keep getting drunker and you keep getting younger. so i think he was pissed that it was the 10th anniversary and not many people were there and most people there were young. meh meh. yeah they played good and i like em but it was just like anyother show nothing spectacular, but i enjoyed it. especially the late night trip to wendys...so good. but school the next morning sucked i was real tired. REAL tired, im gonna sleep now. so over all good show, but for a 10th anniversary show it was mediocre. PS....talked to one of the guys who owns the paris theater, and in a couple months it's turning into a 21+ club. BULLSHIT, but anyways he said he was looking for a place to open a new venue but no dice so far, he couldnt find anywhere downtown that would work. but hopefully he will or else the only other places that would play punk shows are the meow meow (shithole/attic), solid state, and uhh thats about it, maybe the nocturnal and im sure there are more but im tired so who cares, sleep time baby.
12/14 :: UPDATE ::...

10/4 :: SHOW REVIEW ::...
... yesterday (oct.13) was the UK Subs, Toxic Narcotic, Escaped, Mindless Rebellion show @
the Paris, i went with andy, and he told me that the paris used to be a porno theater,
i didnt know that, and awesome..thats probably why its really moist and sweaty in there, anways
the show was pretty good ... it started off with Mindless Rebellion, not the worst band of
the night, but definatly not good, they were giving out free demos and i didnt take one, and
i fuckin love free stuff, but meh they were nothing special. NEXT UP was the escaped, i was
pretty excited to see them, a very good band of punks and skins, escaped generation was definatly
my favorite song that they played, ive seen them 2 or 3 times now and i thought this time i saw
them they were better than the last. oh man, this is when the show started to eat some fat
nutz, TOXIC NARCOTIC was up....so unfortunate, the show seriously went down hill, they are
a crust band from boston i think, i dont know if i should call them crust, they arent punk/metal
they are metal/SHIT they suck. extremely yelly, the crowd was moshing and stage diving, i guess
tonight this wasnt alowed or something? but its a punk show what the hell do they expect,
the bouncers got MEGApissed, and started being sluts and throwing kids out, they pointed this
stupid ass flash light on people that were doing "unacceptable" things and then would throw them out
well some guy ended up fighting a bouncer...which turned into one guy against 3 bouncers...which turned into
the whole crowd vs 3 bouncers. everyone was pissed off and angry. toxic narcotic tryed to be cool
and say "oh man fuckin bouncers they are teenagers, let em be teenagers, if they break somethin, we'll pay for it"
well you know what i think....i think the bouncers werent angry until toxic narcotic came on...
i think that toxic narcotics shitty music pushed the bouncers over the breaking point and thats why they got pissed
haha, it makes sence if youve ever heard how shitty this toxic narcotic music is....shoot people not dope? what the hell haha
anways NEXT WAS THE UK SUBS! im a fan and they were very good, they played a good show and my favorite song they played
well that i remember anyways was RIOT! the crowd was good, not as rough and the bouncers didnt give a shit anymore
so it was cool, they played 3 encores becasue we all kept chantting UK SUBS! so they came out again and again and again
on the end of the 3rd encore mike defiance, from the extremely great pdx punk band DEFIANCE came out and got the crowd to start
chanting "WE ARE PORTLANDS...BARMY ARMY!" or something along those lines, it was great, and a good end to the show. afterwards
mike defiance was walking out and he was giving an autograph to one of andys friends, and mike defiance made
me hold onto his cigarettes, so im pretty sure that makes me and him close friends haha, anyways that was the concert, yay
9/26 :: RANT ::...
didn't go to the bhs/jhs football game due to no school spirit and not liking football, BUT jesuit lost pretty bad so that makes me happy, cos that lame spirit assembly where jesuit called beaverton criminals and how they just wanted to be jesuit haha no one will even mention the game on monday which is even more funny. FRIDAY WAS GREAT, dance party baybay. megan took pictures so when she develops em and shows me em ill put them up on the site. whohoo dancin.

7/6 :: SHOW REVIEW ::...
Warped tour was awesome, chris jarrod zack eric and me rode down to st. hellens and we saw a bunch of bands. I saw the madcaddies, suicide machines, less than jake, rancid, the unseen, andrew WK, dropkick murphys and the fight was pretty good too even though i heard them from far away...uhhh yeah it was cool and we met up with peter megan and emma and saw scott it was a party and a really good time, during the suicide machines split the crowd into left and right and made them charge eachother at the sound of the first note they played, i was in the second row and they stop the concret to see if this guy is okay cos he was bleeding from the face....eric did it to him and had his blood all over his elbow, it was awesome. also everyone came to the conclusion that we are anti-fat girls who crowd surf, because....hey when you try to lift them up you hands disappear, its pretty nasty. but over all it was a damn good time.
