Bio
For
the last 7 years, weird happenings have been going on
around downtown Orlando nightclubs. Specifically, nightclubs
where DJ Guillermo is or has played at. The people in
Orlando have been hearing a strange sound unfamiliar to
them: the sound of house music.
People
have been known to uncontrollably shake their asses and
sing incomprehensible lyrics to one another while Guillermo
has funktified them from behind the DJ booth. Women have
been known to leave the relative safety of the dance floor
to dance dangerously on the bar top while wearing nothing
but heals and really really low mini skirts. Men have
been known to admit that they too like the same house
music that years ago they would think (wrongly) was limited
solely to gays, blacks, and hispanics.
His
4 year long weekly Friday night residency at Knock Knock
in Orlando has helped shape that bar into one of the most
popular in Orlando. His sound, deep and funky with a touch
of disco class, has rocked people for years. He has opened
Orlando's only deep house store and built a clientele
of loyal house heads.
He
has played alongside Miguel Migs, Q-Burn's Abstract Message,
Kenny Hawkes, Huggy, Murray Richardson, DJ BMF, Mot, Master
Kev, James LBS, and many other local and national acts.
His numerous years in the club scene, along with his experience
in running a record store, has made him a vital person
in the Orlando deep house scene.
Guillermo
has played at Knock Knock, SKY60, Blue Room, Icon, Sapphire,
Social, AKA Lounge, Elements, and Pacha and Clevelander
in Miami.
