I saw a terror
In the mists of all my believing
And I cried,
Cried, cried
Those tears that never fell,
Among dry cheeks
Feeling Wetness,
A long time
Ago.
I fell,
Into the story
Of my utmost
Disaster
And sunk in
Deep, deep,
Into the abysses
Of my history.
Down,
Down
Steady flow,
Of lost control,
I fell.
Unto the arms
Of the underlying
Friend,
Who smiled
Among the fitfall
Riot.
And listened
To the nightmare,
Of past events,
So eminent in today.
And so I swirled
Into a darkened path
Of Understanding,
She would never comprehend,
But gave to me,
In the means of friendship
We didn't know
To exist.
And so I slid
Out, out ,out
Of the hauntings
Of long ago,
Slanted dreams.
And entered in?
The calming tornado.
Back into reality,
Back to my ecstasy,
Back to me?
Me,
Me?
I saw a terror
In the mists of
My Unbelieving
And I cried, cried,
Cried,
Unto the shoulders
Of the friend
That felt the
Wetness of the
Tears,
That never...
Fell.
