I will not be moved

A driven person

Never drives anywhere

Except into a ditch.

So many have said,

So many have believed,

I am driven by the chambers

Of an immature heart

That will not yield to

The lies of yesterday.

Go on and tempt me

To leave the messages

Within my breast

To conform to the boring,

Unfillable hope that society

Believes in.

I will not be moved.

They cry out to me

And never understand

Me or my silly crusade

"What's one life? What can one person do?"

They throw at me,

In their own desire to believe.

They think I am

A superhuman wannabe,

But they watch as I stumble,

To present change,

And ignore the fact

That I also get up.

And so I will do

And keep on standing,

To be driven till I

Reach the sunlight,

I'll never truly touch.

But I still will not stop soaring,

Among the clouds of my dreams.

No titles, no medals,

No sainthood, I own

I am human first.

And so I stumble,

Trip, fall, even crash,

On my face,

Often, so often

Yet I'll rise up

Not marvelous

Not elegant, not anything

At all.

Just an unmoved being

Who chooses to be

Human,

first.

"One hand reaches out. And pulls a lost soul from harm, As a thousand more go unspoken for, And they say what good have you done by saving just this one, It's like whispering a prayer, In the fury of a storm....

"And I hear them saying you'll never change things, And no matter what you do it's still the same thing, But it's not the world that I am cahnging, I do this so this world will know, That it will not change me..." Lyrics from Grath Brook's Album Fresh Horses. The song name was The Change
