NPCs

Clorencians

Orin Brandolian:  Head of the Brandolian household and elected leader of the cairn.  He is one of the oldest of the refugees and his years have made him both cynical and stubborn.  While he tries to do what’s best for the people, he doesn’t like to break tradition and strives to keep from upsetting the fragile balance of the cairn.

Enowne Landedon:  By far the most haughty and vocal of the Landedon, she is disliked by the vast majority of the cairn.  However, she does seem to genuinely care about the overall welfare of the people and is one of the staunchest proponents of another expedition to the surface.   Many believe she has some ulterior motive.

Caline Brandolian:  The Brandolians have always been the teachers and mentors of the cairn.  Caline is the latest Brandolian to take the mantle of Lorekeeper, the teacher of all children of the cairn.  It is her duty to teach the children the history and lore of Laun along with the skills they would need to prosper back on the surface.

Bossiance Tactence:  The cairn’s main teacher of martial skills.  He is young and happens to be one of the friendliest adults with which the children frequently interact.

Galaudin Landedon:  The sole Sorcerer of the cairn and the only person left alive how knew the world above.  Using the power of the Trinaura to artificially expand his life, Galaudin epitomizes the word ancient.  He’s a bitter, callous old man whose health has been failing for as long as the eldest of the cairn can remember.  For the last century and a half he has led a virtual solitary life and has become kind of a legend throughout the cairn.

Kaiden Landedon:  Son of Enowne that is known for his affection for his mother and his strict obedience to Landedon philosophies.  Originally chosen as a member of The Second Expedition, he was replaced with Onoros once he was found to be a coward.

Willym, Kelvin, and Glynn Brandolian:  Atorin's older brothers who never cease giving him trouble for being the runt of the family.  The line of Brandolian leadership goes through them.

Percival Landedon:  Hawkin's brother and all around bully of the cairn.

Gennifer Landedon:  Hawkin's sister who does her best to keep the peace between her brothers.

Alyssa Brience:  Betrothed to Willym Brandolian and also the love of Atorin's life.

Travelers

Loika the Scourge: A loudmouthed, charismatic man who the group encountered in the ruins of Clorencia.  Claiming originally to be a vassal from Kolvar with an important duty he was proved to be a slaver who was tried to take advantage of The Second Expedition.  The reward for his betrayal of the group's trust:  Death at the skillful hands of Onoros.

Prieda:  Companion of Loika who sailed their ship.  He was let go free after his master fell.

Jostrenetians

The Three Hags:  These three women, dressed in rags, were parading around the remains of the town of Jostrenet when the group arrived.  Cackling maniacally and speaking cryptically the three seem to be able to appear and disappear at will.  The strange things they say could be prophecy...or they could just be gibberish.

Ediusans

Alain:  Constable of the town of Edius, he led some of the villagers along with the party when the walking dead took some of the town's livestock.

Ander:  This villager showed what kind of mettle he was made of when the party came across some of the walking dead.  His skills with a mere shepard's walking staff put most of the party to shame.

Lisinians

The Captain of the Guard:  No doubt about it, he swindled the party out of some valuable merchandise.  Never trust a Lisinian.

Kolvarans

King Kenius:  A commanding figure who rules Kolvar.  He is stern, but wise and is respected by nearly all the people of Kolvar.  It is his line that defended the people against the eleven incursions of Horrors over the course of The Great Retreat

Queen Bai:  A cold, distant woman who is rarely seen at the King's arm.  Little else is known save wild rumors.

Princess Liandra:  The beautiful and intelligent teenage daughter of the king.  She is fascinated by people of different lands.

Bryant:  A middle aged black haired gentleman with a thick black beard.  He is a Counselor and seems most concerned about the beastmen in the Northern Reach.  He does not seem to like the Bombrallens.

Kain:  A young and excitable Counselor who was only recently appointed.  As many Kolvaran are, he is worried about the beastmen of the Northern Reach.

Bombrallens

Durvan:  Middle aged sorcerer and head Counselor from Bombralle.  He is quiet and intense, saying little except when is needed.

Kavin:  Young Counselor and sorcerer from Bombralle.  Never seems to speak unless Durvan ask him directly.

Rall:   Young Counselor and sorcerer from Bombralle.  Never seems to speak unless Durvan asks him directly.

Dallians

Arthus:  A fat, older man whose zest for the finer things in life are apparent.  Clad is expensive silk robes and an abundance of jewelry it is hard to believe that this man represents a majority of the people of Dallius.  Haughty and snobbish, he keeps to his fellow Dallians.  He is very vocal about his concerns in the Northern Reach.

Forlinth:  A dapper, arrogant man who dresses in only the finest clothes and is constantly surrounded by a halo of light from his many, many jewels.  He does not particularly care for the Mirallians nor the Kolvaran and does not seem to mind talking about it.  Rumor has it that he is both a painted and a dancer of some skill.

Lorana:  A beautiful dark-haired temptress who moves with a grace that seems to whisper 'seduction' into men's ears. She is married to an old noble back in Dallius, but the tales of her passionate affairs in Kolvar are heard frequently over bottle of wine.

Mirallians

Leetha:  A hot-tempered red head who is the eldest Counselor from Miralles.  She seems intent on stopping the beastmen before they reach her province.

Haner:  A gruff, calloused older man who seems to appreciate only two things:  strength and hard work.  Does not speak out often, but when he does it is in support of sending scouts to the south to investigate the possibilities of the Ironians advancing.

Keenan:  Young Counselor with fiery red hair.  Very friendly and respectful to all, he doesn't seem to have made a decision concerning current affairs.

Baerians

Bolerd:  A large, charismatic man who is the only Baerian Counselor to have stayed behind to continue to argue for support for the war against the beastmen.  His determination is legendary and his regret that he cannot return home to help fight is apparent.
