Here is a story
that Wolf Blitzer did NOT carry on CNN. Is CNN becoming a mouth-piece for Israel's Ministry of Information? While it is not as right-wing as the FOX TV Network, the impartial bias of CNN is detracting from its credibility and driving more and more viewers to seek more balanced coverage from other international networks such as the BBC. While every act of violence on all sides is abhorrent, CNN (aka TV Israel) spends far more air time showing repeatedly the details of Palestinian attacks while only barely covering Israel's. Far many more Palestinians have been killed in this endless cycle of counter-attacks that the 2 sides have boxed each other into, yet Wolf keeps the focus on the Israeli victims. In a recent report, Wolf flew with the president of Israel on a blackhawk helicopter around Israel to pay their condolences to the families of Israeli victims. While this is certainly a descent gesture of you Mr. Blitzer, why is it that you did not make even half an effort to pay similar respects to the Palestinian families? Are Palestinians not human too? Doesn't a Palestinian mother mourn her son just as intensely as an Israeli mother? To keep humanizing one side while demonizing the other only helps prolong the misunderstanding and mistrust of all sides. One cannot help but
wonder that even if Wolf had contemplated making a similar visit in the
occupied territories, his bosses at CNN (Sulzberger & Co.) and their bosses
at the Israeli Ministry of Information, would have scrapped the thought even
before Wolf could utter it! |

BIOLOGICAL.Why is it that hardly a whisper is heard on CNN, CBS and other so called balanced US media. These same media like to take jabs at Al-Jazeera claiming it is biased. The actual bias is clear for all to see, and has been so for many years: US media sanitizes reports, and twists facts in a way that is sympathetic to Israel no matter what the issue is. While putting pressure on Iraq's phantom WMD's, and now alleging that Syria has them, Israel who has AT LEAST 200 nuclear weapons, gets away with it. The best voice of reason against the US war mongers is that of Syria, who has again called for making the entire Middle East to be free of WMDs. WHY isn't the US enthusiastically supporting this laudable goal? Is it to shield Israel from any pressure? Is it to avoid exposing the obvious double-standards of US foreign policy in the Middle East?
