OIL
may seem as the objective in Iraq, but the ultimate goals are much more
sinister...
The real goal of occupying
Iraq is not regime change!
The primary objective is to impose American dominance as the sole hyperpower after the end of the cold war and into the 21st century - in
other words, establish a New and Improved World Order based on a
21st century Roman Empire. The dominance of the new American Empire
manifests itself in taking direct control of all that America considers of
interest to its economy and security. This also means maintaining
the huge technological and military superiority that exists today.
To further that aim, countries that MAY pose any risk, now or in the
future, are to be "dealt with" - which might mean containment,
intimidation, or occupation.
That many of those who
are directing US foreign policy serve on (or used to serve on) institutes
such as JINSA
(The Jewish Institute for National Security Affairs), whose aim is to further the goals and ambitions of
Israel in the middle east, is reflected in the war policy against Iraq
while having a double standard vis-a-vis North Korea. Israel has
always considered Iraq to be its most capable enemy among Arab states and
has followed covert and open policies of weakening the country.
Delivering a death blow to Iraq is an agenda that Israel discreetly pushes
through its hawks in the US administration such as Perle, Bolton, Wolfowitz
(who received
JINSA's Distinguished Service Award in Nov 2002), et
all. ( See

3 ) The ultimate aim of the US are far reaching. They include the encirclement of regional powers such as China, and of perceived foes such as Iran and Syria. A bird's eye view of the map of Asia shows a growing number of American military bases (Afghanistan, Uzbekistan, and others. See MAP The US has military bases in over 55 countries). By occupying Iraq, the US not only establishes its largest presence in a very strategic part of the area, but will instantly extend its dominance to neighboring countries and beyond. Iran, Syria, Saudi Arabia, and OPEC will all be brought in line with US policy or face the consequence of Bush's enlightened "If you ain't with us, then you're, uh, against us!" The hawks at the Pentagon & US administration have the explicit aim of reshaping the middle east along US/Israeli lines. Taking control of Iraq's oil will be a consequence and not the primary target of US policy. Oil will simply be the booty of a one-sided war. Regime change is also an obvious consequence of this far reaching and devious policy that Wolfowitz & Co. were working on as far back as 1992. Once occupation is firm, then the oil agenda will take off and we shall see a carving of the region's oil resources by Exxon, Texaco, BP (and those others who kissed Bush's posterior!). The Caspian sea pipeline project will also develop as the US assures itself of a steady and cheap source of energy for its economy and other expansion projects. (See 1 2 ) |

Silvio Berlusconi, is one of
the most corrupt leaders Italy has known. Faced with several
criminal charges, this head
![]() In Sep 2001, Berlusconi stated that the "West is more superior to Islam"! This "superior" racist had also declared when he became Italy's prime minister that he would support US policies "no matter what they were!" With this much
abbreviated background, it comes as no surprise that a letter was
published by Berlusconi and several other European leaders in support of
Bush's war plans on Iraq. That the letter was prepared by the US and
pushed to be published at this specific time is another story that will be
uncovered in due time. France and Germany were not invited to sign
or even read the letter. The purpose of it is to embarrass the
German-French alliance avoiding war on Iraq and to show an artificial
European support for the war mongering administration. What the news
did not stress is that a vote at the European Union was in favor of
pursuing the inspection process via the UN. The US goal is to break
European unity in its direction against war on Iraq. |

The
News You Do Not Hear!
19-Jan-2003:
Palestinian man shot by a sniper while fixing a water tank on the roof
of his house in the Rafah refugee camp. (Arabic
report) Abdul-Fattah Mansour was working with his son Waleed on
patching holes in the water tank from earlier shootings by Israeli
soldiers when a bullet struck him in the back and killed him.
While this is a sad event, what is more tragic is that this is not an exceptional incident for Palestinians under occupation. It is reported in Palestinian media as yet another sniper incident along with the rest of the day's news. Such a news item never makes it to the mainstream media in the west. We will never hear about his young widow and children who are suddenly without a father. Imagine if you will if the incident was reversed: if an Israeli man installing the latest satellite dish on his roof is shot by a Palestinian sniper, you can be damn sure that CNN, Fox, Rupert Murdoch, Izzy Asper & Co. will carry the story along with photographs and video of the family. No doubt their story would show what it is like to live next to "terrorists", and no doubt another delegation will fly to Washington to ask for another $14 Billion to help the cowboy and his "man of peace" defeat the "evil terrorists"! When will a western
leader emerge, with deep moral and political courage, stand up and
say "Enough! - Military occupation is fundamentally wrong and no amount of
time or propaganda can make it right." And Bush & Co. wonder "why do
they hate us?". It is not because they hate "our freedom" but
because the scale of justice on the statue of liberty has tilted a long
time ago under a skewed foreign policy that advocates justice and equality
at home while denying it to the people of Palestine. |

The so-called Chemical
Warheads found in Iraq are in fact "Nothing":![]() "These were not 'chemical warheads.' In the Iraqi arsenal, a warhead is a warhead - an empty ordnance space strapped to a missile. What matters is the payload, be it explosive or chemical or nuclear. The item placed in the warhead denotes the designation. These warheads were stone-cold empty, so by definition they are not 'chemical warheads.' They are, in fact, nothing..." Read Full Article |

The "Disputed" Territories
The National
Post Newspaper in Canada is one of 17 daily newspapers (and many TV &
Radio stations) that falls under CanWest Media which is owned by Izzy
Asper & his family. Izzy is a hardline Zionist who exercises strict
control on all editorials published by his newspapers and uses them to
promote political agendas that are pro-Israel and anti-Arab. One of the most recent examples of this is how The National Post changed the word "Occupied" to "Disputed" in reference to Palestinian land occupied by Israel in 1967 and condemned by several UN resolutions and world public opinion. Bill Clay, federal director of research and communications for the NDP had written to correct an article that alleged that NDP leader Alexa McDonough was visiting "The Homeland of Saddam Hussein" when "...In fact, Ms. McDonough is currently in Israel and the occupied Territories on a peace-seeking mission in support of those building alternatives to armed conflict." (see the same letter in The Montreal Gazette). The Right-Wing zealots of
the National Post called Mr. Clay and told him that they would only
publish his response if they changed the word "occupied" to "disputed".
They are not alone nowadays in attempting to rewrite history. Donald
Rumsfeld had also attempted to blur history and dismiss Palestinian rights
by referring to them as "so called occupied territories".
The facts of history are
not for Donald, Izzy & Associates to rewrite to suit their agendas.
There is nothing
"disputed" in the will of people under occupation to resist in order to
gain their freedom and dignity. Perhaps Donald & Izzy should take
another look at the photo of a 12 year old Palestinian boy facing an
Israel armored tank to understand that their attempts are futile and
destined to fail. |

Vietnam's victory taught the USA
several lessons which include:
Thus, we saw the US attack weak countries that posed a "threat to the national security of the United States". These include Fearsome Grenada, Mighty Panama, StoneAge Afghanistan, and Hungry Sudan! Now, the new Bush Posse is desperately trying to pin something on Eye-Raq to justify the war of occupation that they talk of openly. Bush's fear mongering about Iraq's pilotless drones that can attack the US is but one example of this administration's lack of moral fiber that plagues the new American Empire. That no-one from CNN, ABC, CBS, NBC, NY Times, Washington Post, or other "respectable" media entities had any courage (let alone moral decency) to stand up and tell Bush that such an accusation was simply ridiculous, only strengthens the doubts that outside observers have about the motives of the US to stage this war. And so once again we see a repeat of some of the tactics used in 1991. Despite the most intrusive inspection of any country in history, we are still to believe that Iraq poses a threat due to its arsenal of chemical, biological and nuclear weapons! That North Korea is much further down the road to acquiring a nuclear weapon (if they don't have it already) is exactly why the US is afraid to have a "military showdown" with it. Simply put, North Korea can fight back and can bloody the nose of the toughest marine, and this goes against one of the golden lessons learnt from Vietnam (above). So, what do we see happening: Wolfowitz, Perle and Rumsfeld (no, they are not a law firm - Thank god!) raise their threat assessment of Iraq and already are dismissing the role of the inspectors. This sad state of today's world is deepened by the weakness of the UN and Mr. Annan in asserting strongly their role. Not for its oil. Not for having strategic military presence next door to Iran, Saudi Arabia, and Syria. Not for the purpose of installing a puppet leadership a-la-Karzai in Iraq. No, no! The reason why the US will unleash its military might is because Saddam Hussein has these super advanced drones that need no pilots, and very little fuel to fly at hypersonic speeds from downtown Baghdad, across Arabia, North Africa, the Atlantic Ocean, and drop buckets of horse manure on the White House lawn! We can't have such threats to the clean image of the White House administration can we?

5 young boys ages 6 to 14 also from the Astal family were killed by a

brutal Israeli occupation, The Astals have been particularly affected.
Another family that had many members assassinated by Israel is the

How the Canadian
Government got bamboozled into banning Hezbollah! Separately, they are strong well financed entities. Working together, The Israeli propaganda machine and the Washington Times newspaper (owned by the Unification Church (Yes, the Moonies are alive and kicking)) have been conspiring for a long time on producing, exaggerating, faking, and outright lies to promote their political hate inspired agenda against anything Palestinian or Moslem. For a sample of this, just do a general search on the Washington Times articles. Add to this cozy relationship a pathetic loser called Paul Martin that fancies himself a bona fide reporter. That he lacks even the most basic sense of journalistic integrity does not seem to deter him or his pay-masters from promoting their politically inspired agenda. Paul wrote a story immediately published by the Washington Times where he claimed that Hezbollah leader had said that suicide bombings must be exported overseas. Within a day, every newspaper, TV and radio station in the USA and Canada that falls under the control of special interest groups was carrying the story. In Canada, this effort was led by Izzy Asper and his CanWest publishing empire which owns most Canadian newspapers and media outlets (yes, they have a near monopoly on the news in Canada!). Thanks partly to generous well placed contributions, Canada's Alliance party jumped in behind the frenzy along with such "illustrious" organizations as the B'nai B'rith and the ADL who took out full page ads to scare Canadians by showing a menacing looking middle eastern man holding a Canadian passport to imply that Arabs with Canadian citizenship are supporting terrorism. They thought that by now the history of Israeli agents using stolen Canadian passports in bungled operations in Jordan and elsewhere had been forgotten. The pressure increased on the government which did not bother to check if what was attributed to Hezbollah was even true or not. Nor did some respectable newspapers like the Globe & Mail bother to verify the story! It just sounded too good and tempting for right wingers. Then the B'nai B'rith played their winning card: They threatened to take the government to court. Such scare tactics that worked well in the USA by other organizations such as AIPAC, proved so successful that AIPAC today plays the role of King-Maker in Congress and the Senate. Perhaps B'nai B'rith is hoping to play a similar role in Canada! One has to wonder if their loyalty lies with Canada where they live and whose benefits they enjoy, or with some foreign power! The government blinked first, and Hezbollah got banned. Only then, did the news start coming out that the story written by Paul Martin was a fake. Paul Martin it turns out has a long history of fake stories. In another of his depraved fantasies, he hid under a Arab name ("Sayed Anwar") to write a completely fake article accusing Palestinians of threatening and raping fellow Christian Palestinians in Bethlehem. Obviously the intent of the story was to create a further divide in the current anti-Islam hysteria sweeping the western world to further political agendas.

11 Dec 2002: Kofi
Annan says withholding of Iraqi arms dossier from non-permanent members is
'unfortunate'.
![]() We beg to differ Mr. Annan. What is really unfortunate is your whimpish history and your lack of courage (also called balls) to stand up to George Bush, and how his administration seems to jerk you around. Every day children are getting killed in Palestine, homes are demolished, olive trees uprooted, and occupation persists despite several UN resolutions like 242 which you have no courage to enforce. You only seem occupied with finding appropriate diplomatic language to skirt the issue and please your masters. Now THAT is Unfortunate! |

Has
Canada scrapped its hate laws that expressly forbid promoting
hatred of ethnic and religious communities? Or are those laws used
only very selectively?? In the
Canadian daily National Post (August 27, 2002), published by Israel Asper,
a great friend of Israel, Daniel Pipes and his gentile sidekick Lars
Hedegaard published an article with an alluring title, "Muslim extremism:
Denmark's had enough". "They steal our money and rape our daughters", - this concept was successfully applied in past, notably by Adolf Hitler in his Mein Kampf, against the Jews. Now, it is promoted by the mighty Jewish propaganda machine, this globe-embracing conglomerate of Jewish media moguls, obedient journalists, deferential university professors. Hitler or Stalin never had had such a network in their disposal. Read the Full Article |

The Settlements are Israel's primary strategy of dominating any form of
future state for the Palestinians. "The 91 percent offer to Palestine which Shimon Peres boasted about at the American-Israeli Political Action Committee (AIPAC) last week (in early May 2002), was simply this: three parcels of non-contiguous land, divested of prime agricultural real estate, diminished in water supply, surrounded by settlements with armed settlers and Israeli troops, totally sealed off from its current international borders, and laden with toxic waste dumps. A state destined to fail." Read the full article. |

"Oddly, you can now learn more from the Israeli press than the American
media. The brutality of Israeli soldiers is fully covered in Ha'aretz,
which also reports on the large number of US negotiators who are Jewish.
Four years ago, a former Israeli soldier described in an Israeli newspaper
how his men had looted a village in southern Lebanon; when the piece was
reprinted in The New York Times, the looting episode was censored out of
the text." - Robert Fisk, The Independent, 13 December 2001
"Many decent Israelis are
severely critical of the Israeli treatment of the Palestinians. Indeed,
there is more enlightened comment on the Palestinians' plight in the
Israeli press than there is in the American. Even so, although the
pretence that critics of Israel are anti-Semites is a transparent fraud,
it has proved an enormously successful blackmailing tool. Americans are so
frightened of being labeled anti-Semitic that they keep quiet and allow
the Israeli lobby a free run." |

Today (April 30th) we hear that Israel has again blocked the UN investigators from Jenin. Israel believes it can literally get away with murder, thanks largely to its "friends" in the US Congress and that the US veto card will protect it from outright condemnation. Last week, when people started digging with their bare hands, a few were found alive under the rubble. By now, any other possible survivors would have died a slow death. Not only were war crimes committed during the assault on Jenin, but another war crime was committed by not allowing international rescue teams with heavy machinery from locating survivors. Will Mr. Bush abandon the double
standard attitude that has plagued US foreign policy and condemn Israel in
direct and clear terms? Are we going to hear threats of military action
like the US is threatening against Iraq for not allowing UN inspectors into the
country? I fear not! The Palestinian refugees will
continue to suffer, the smell of death will continue to be present around Jenin,
and Israel will continue to arrogantly act as if it is above the law (sadly,
maybe it is!). Bush has elections to worry about so at most Israel will
get a slap on the wrist (followed by more aid and weapons like the 24 new BlackHawk Gunships -see article below-), and he will make yet another statement
of yet another "vision of a Palestinian state", "Arafat must do more", and
"Sharon is a man of peace". |
||
Bush's comments after the details of Jenin emerged:
Sharon 'a man of peace'! The comment is a result of the pro-Israeli lobby (AIPAC) pressure on the President to soften the public opinion on Israel. It is also motivated by the upcoming mid-term elections affecting Bush and his brother Jeb in Florida. This also follows Sharon arrogantly ignoring the demand's of Bush to withdraw from Palestinian occupied territories ("Now", "I mean it!"). (Mean-it Shmean-it Sharon contemptuously replied.) It is a shame that the US President has to yield and bow down to a man like Sharon! This only reaffirms that the US cannot be truly objective and an honest broker in the Middle East, even if we assume it really wants to, while Israel exerts so much influence on the US Administration, Senate and Congress. Read The End Of America's Prestige |

Any resolution of the conflict must be based on the fundamental issue of Completely Ending The Occupation. For Israel to end the occupation, it first must face its own morality of existence and acknowledge that it came to be as a state at a steep and tragic price paid by the Palestinians. Brave voices within Israel are today calling on their government to ADMIT the injustice done to the people of Palestine and APOLOGIZE for the past. This admission of guilt will deeply impact the psyche of everyone involved in this conflict, and will start a wave of mutual moral recognition of each other that will pave the way for a meaningful peace where Israelis and Palestinians can begin the process of burying the painful past and embracing a better future. -ms |
||
Sharon
& Netenyahu keep claiming "We have nothing to hide in Jenin." Why then are
they blocking the UN from investigating? Why ask for immunity for officers
that might be interviewed if they have committed no war crimes? Why did
Israel deny access to Jenin for 8 days when the brutal assault ended around
April 10th? What EXACTLY did they do during those days? Why were the aid
groups and reporters standing by to enter Jenin, not permitted to enter and
document what happened? -ms |

While
any violent act that hurts civilians is repulsive, there is
something truly evil and inhuman in DELIBERATELY targeting children. Since
the beginning of the 2nd Intifada in September '2000, The Israeli army quietly
but significantly, increased the deployment of snipers to target & kill stone
throwing youths. This followed a misguided strategy of inflicting maximum
pain in the futile hope of suppressing the Intifada. The numbers speak for themselves: over
425 of those
killed were minors; 125+ of whom were under 13. And the killing continues. |

The
assassination of minister Ze'evi on October 17th, 2001 was directly motivated by
Israel's "targeted assassination" of Palestinian political leader Abu-Ali
Mustafa on August 27th, 2001 (using US made Apache helicopters). Just as
Israel has made it a point to seek those who assassinated Mr. Ze'evi, the
Palestinian Authority should press for the prosecution of those responsible for
Mr. Mustafa's killing. -ms |
