Due to some situations which have come up recently, we have had to revise our policies some.
Sales Policy:
We only accept payment and deposit in the form of postal money orders (which can be acquired from the post office), cash, or PayPal. If the buyer chooses to use PayPal, there may be a very small additional fee ($1-$2), due to what PayPal takes out of the payment.
We require a minimum of half of the price of the rabbit(s) in the form of a non-refundable deposit to hold any rabbit(s) we have for sale. If someone is interested in one or more of our bunnies, they need to let us know via email or phone. After this contact, we will put the rabbit "On hold" and they will have one week to get the deposit to us. If they fail to get the deposit to us within one week, we have the option to put the rabbit back up for sale. We will contact the interested party to find out whether the deposit was sent or not. Of course, we are gracious and they may contact us if they are experiencing problems and they still want the rabbit.
All deposits for "on hold bunnies" are non-refundable, even if the buyer backs out. If we back out of the deal for some unknown reason at this moment or something happens to the bunny (this hasn't happened yet) then the deposit will be refunded or put toward another bunny of the buyer's choice.
We will hold bunnies, which have had deposits put on them, for one month unless other arrangements are made with us. After one month, if we have not heard from a buyer, we reserve the right to put that bunny that was being held, back up for sale.
If the buyer chooses to pay the full amount for the rabbit(s) and then backs-out of the sale, and decides to not get the rabbits, the money is non-refundable.
If a rabbit(s) has to be housed here for more than 1 month until it can go to it's new owner, we charge $5/month for housing/care taking fees. We feel this is a reasonable amount.
Our prices typically range from $25-$45, but there are times when rabbits will be priced higher than that. Pricing depends on type (whether they are nicely typed or not), color, whether they are registered or not, if they have had babies with us, if they have won any legs, and their age (at times).
All rabbits which are sold as breeders (or breeding prospects), show bunnies (or show prospects), showmanship or 4-H bunnies, will come with a complete pedigree. I also give the new owner a small sandwich bagful of the feed which I feed (Templeton) to mix in with the new pellets that the bunny will be eating.
Rabbits which are sold as pets come with a "Pet Bunny Certificate", which includes Ear #, Date of birth, sex, color, breed, name, name of mother and father, and my contact information. They will also be sent home with a rabbit care packet and a bag of feed to switch them over to their new feed.
